Special editions are always a bit of a grey area in the Tailored Driver world because to be honest, they’re usually just a ploy to move a few units with very specific options. This Frozen Black Edition M3 is the exception to the rule- just 20 were made for the US and if you wanted one, you had to call a hotline at a specific time to get it. Seriously. But while the method of initial procurement is now antiquated to the point of silliness, the M3 still looks incredibly modern. A high revving V8 is paired with the quick shifting DCT, and iDrive is present, meaning a CarPlay retrofit is an easy and worthwhile endeavor. Perhaps the best bit is the price. At $34k, it’s well within the ballpark of what a run-of-the-mill M3 would fetch in today’s market.

Dubai, UAE –  The Batur Convertible, the third coachbuilt Bentley of the modern era, has made its global debut at an exclusive event held in Bab Al Shams in Dubai, UAE.

With only 16 individually numbered cars being produced, the Batur Convertible is a true collector’s piece. Each will feature the most potent iteration of Bentley’s iconic W12 engine, a 750 PS, hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged masterpiece set to end production this summer, making this one of the last Bentleys to ever house this legendary powertrain. Beyond its extraordinary performance, the Batur Convertible offers limitless personalisation, with every detail tailored to reflect the vision and individuality of its owner.

    Design details

The exterior of the Batur Convertible Engineering Car, currently in Dubai, is another demonstration of the art of the possible with the Mulliner Bespoke Studio. It is a showcase of dynamic colour transitions and high-performance materials, brought to life through its Midnight Emerald exterior paint and High Gloss Carbon Fibre finishes. At the front, the grille stands out with a bold Satin Dark Titanium finish throughout, with the exception of the grille matrix, where a Gloss Mandarin to Gloss Beluga fade creates a striking visual transition.

At the heart of this bold exterior is the distinctive Batur Racing Stripe, finished in Gloss Porpoise and flanked with Gloss Mandarin outer stripes, both hide-matched to the interior leather, creating a seamless visual connection between the exterior and the cabin.

The cabin echoes the exterior, with Cumbrian Green and Porpoises leather being accented with Mandarin stitching and piping, complemented with machined titanium Organ Stops and Bullseye vents. The veneer is Mulliner’s exquisite “guitar fade”, where a transition of colour and texture spans the width of the cabin, from gloss Beluga to high gloss carbon fibre, and back to gloss Beluga, and finished with the unique laser-etched audio signature of this W12 engine.

    Bespoke two-seat grand touring

Bentley has a rich history of open-cockpit cars, from the very first Bentley of 1919, through the company’s foundation years in the 1920s, to the most recent – the Bacalar.

The architecture of the Batur Convertible has allowed Mulliner’s designers to seize the opportunity to create a theme that not only blends the design of the Bacalar and Batur but includes the versatility of a convertible. The designers also chose to highlight the two-seater character with a ‘wraparound’ cockpit inspired by the design of the Bacalar.

    Personal and uniquely commissioned

The Mulliner Bespoke Studio will co-create every Batur Convertible with each client, utilising our exclusive in-house commissioning software. It adopts a unique ‘off menu’ approach to commissioning that allows any part of the car to be customised in colour and surface finish, bringing each vision to life.

Endless samples of unique materials bring texture and feel to the process, with the resulting commissions being truly individual and created by the client, limited only by their imagination.

Paint choice is infinite, starting with the full Mulliner colour palette and travelling beyond into fully bespoke paint and even hand-painted elements. The exterior brightware can be any mix of light and dark, satin or gloss, or even titanium. Another subtle option available is a graduated contrast colour to the front grille, allowing for a vibrant ombre effect.

In the cabin, the highly exclusive option of 3D printed rose gold includes key driver touch points, such as the Bentley Drive Mode Selector, encircling the start/stop button and used to change chassis modes. The centrepiece of an exquisite cabin, the dial complements the design of the front grille. Rose gold can also be applied to Bentley’s iconic Organ Stop vent controls in the dashboard, as well as on the steering wheel itself.

Bentley Mulliner has collaborated with expert goldsmiths based in the historic Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham, England, where jewellery has been made for centuries, to craft these unique parts. This special collaboration highlights Bentley’s ability to combine new, advanced manufacturing technologies with more traditional materials and finishing techniques.

    Exclusive and powerful

Each Batur Convertible will be handcrafted over the course of several months in Mulliner’s workshop at Bentley’s carbon-neutral factory in Crewe, England. The Batur features the most powerful version of Bentley’s iconic W12, a 750 PS, hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine that has metaphorically and literally powered Bentley’s success for the last two decades.

For the W12 powertrain that the Batur Convertible shares with its coupe counterpart, a revised intake system, upgraded turbochargers, new intercoolers, and extensive recalibration enable 750 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque, to deliver exceptional performance for this pinnacle grand tourer. This development of the engine is in celebration of its achievements over 20 years, over which it has been developed to produce nearly 40% more power while improving fuel economy by 25%.

Get Lost is Latest Remaster with Safaried Lotus Elise S1

    • Get Lost launches as a new automotive brand, founded by photographer GFWilliams, and built around the simple pursuit of creating a car that’s fun.
    • Get Lost: Project Safari is a ground-up reimagining of the Elise S1 – combining rally attitude, road trip capability, and bespoke design.
    • Every detail is designed or engineered with quality and intent – from the hydraulic handbrake to the roof scoop – to enhance the character and capability of the entire car.
    • Get Lost: Project Safari is the first vehicle from Get Lost, with customer builds due to start later this year.

    [source: Get Lost]

April 15th, Surrey – Get Lost is proud to unveil Project Safari – the first vehicle from the new automotive design and engineering brand. A bold, ground-up reinterpretation of the iconic Elise S1, Project Safari blends rally-inspired capability, road trip practicality, and design-led innovation into a single, uncompromising package.

Founded by renowned automotive photographer GFWilliams, Get Lost is the result of over a decade immersed in the world’s most exceptional cars. That industry experience shaped a vision: a car that delivers emotional connection through design, engineering, and a relentless pursuit of fun.

Bringing that vision to life is a passionate, multidisciplinary team drawn from motorsport, design studios, and fabrication. Together, they’ve created something that not only breaks the rules, but makes you wonder why they were there in the first place.

    The Design:
Get Lost: Project Safari began with a deep study of the original car’s form and function – not to overwrite what made it special, but to reimagine it without constraints. “The idea of taking an Elise off-road might sound ridiculous, and that’s exactly why we leaned into it,” says George Williams, founder of Get Lost. “That one silly idea gave us real creative freedom. Every element was considered from the ground up, not just to look good in isolation, but to enhance the character and capability of the entire car.”

Get Lost: Project Safari contrasts the Elise’s fluid curves with sharp, deliberate design choices. Highlights include a custom roof scoop, bespoke rectangular headlights, and a completely redesigned interior using the highest quality materials – all contributing to a new identity while respecting the car’s roots.

    The Build:
“It wasn’t enough for the car to look good – it had to be brilliant to drive too.” said George. Get Lost: Project Safari runs all-terrain tyres, as well as a completely bespoke suspension system, offering increased ride height and width while refining the body control to inspire confidence to always push on. A new powertrain also delivers strong, reliable performance, while key functional upgrades – including a limited-slip differential, and a hydraulic handbrake – contribute to the car’s uniquely playful character.

The result? A car designed in form and function for fun adventures. “This is not a modified Elise, it’s our interpretation of what the platform had to offer. Everything has been considered – from the design to the drive – all in the pursuit of creating something that’s fun,” says George Williams. “If you get it, you get us. If not? Get Lost.”

Get Lost: Project Safari is the first vehicle from Get Lost, with customer builds due to start later this year. Get Lost is now welcoming letters of interest from customers, collaborators, and anyone who sees themselves in this vision.

  • Defender Widebody by Chelsea Truck Company

Defender Widebody by Chelsea Truck Company

    [source: Chelsea Truck Company]

Since 2012, the Chelsea Truck Company has been rewriting the rulebook for how a Defender should look, feel, and command attention. The original Wide Track Defender wasn’t just a body kit, it was a statement. A formidable, more aggressive reinterpretation of Britain’s most popular 4×4, built with the kind of detail and swagger you won’t find in a traditional dealership.

Fast forward to 2025, and the team at Kahn Design, the design house behind the Chelsea Truck Co., is once again elevating the game. Enter the Widebody: a carefully evolved design built for the modern L663-generation Defender, marrying heritage cues with contemporary craftsmanship.

Where others might rest on their laurels, Kahn Design refines. This latest iteration isn’t just a visual update; it’s a complete rethink of form and function. First seen on last year’s Defender X Prototype, the new Wide Track package retains the muscular silhouette customers have come to love, but adds sharper lines, cleaner integration, and a more purposeful stance.

The big news? The entire kit is now constructed from high-grade automotive ABS, a material prized in the industry for its lightweight strength and durability. This change improves fit and finish and allows for a more accessible price point without compromising on the premium feel clients expect from Chelsea Truck Co.

One of the previous generation’s limitations is also addressed: compatibility with our bumper vents. The previous front wings extended further onto the front bumper, and in response to customer demand, we have remodelled the arches to allow full front-end styling compatibility, an essential finishing touch for those building the ultimate urban/off-road Defender.

Designed under the watchful eye of Afzal Kahn, the brand’s founder and Chief Designer, each component is shaped with a designer’s eye and an engineer’s precision. The wide-track arches aren’t just bigger — they’re better, sculpted to complement the Defender’s bold proportions while allowing it to retain all of its off-road credentials. This is no show pony.

The Wide Body Defender 2.0 is more than a styling kit, it’s a continuation of a design legacy. It speaks to a driver who demands presence without shouting, who values materiality and craftsmanship as much as capability.

The Wide Body kit is available now for 90 and 110 and is also part of our Series II Conversions soon to be available through our dealer network.

Alternatively, a range of converted vehicles is available now via KAHN Automobiles.

  • Ducati and Lamborghini Together Again with New Chapter

Ducati and Lamborghini Together Again with New Chapter

The Panigale V4 Lamborghini was presented during the Milan Design Week

Milan/Borgo Panigale/Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, 9 April 2025 – The new Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini, the motorbike born from the collaboration between the Italian motorcycle and super sports car manufacturers, has been unveiled to the public. The presentation event – The Art of Unexpected – took place in Teatro Alcione, Milan, during Milan Design Week, the leading event in the design world, where the two automotive companies excel.

    The Ducati – Lamborghini collaboration

This opens the third chapter in the partnership between Ducati and Lamborghini, two symbolic companies of Italy as a whole, which share the same values of sophisticated technology, sportiness and exclusivity. Two iconic brands which represent Italian excellence on a world level, both rooted in the heart of the Emilia region’s Motor Valley, where passion, ingenuity and expertise come together, giving rise to works of art on two and four wheels such as the new Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini: the result of a combination that will once again become every enthusiast’s dream at first sight, bringing together technology, performance and beauty as previously happened with the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini and the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini.

This new episode of the union between the two companies stars the most high-performance and sophisticated models in the ranges of the two brands: the Panigale V4 S, the latest generation Ducati Superbike; and the Lamborghini Revuelto[1], the new paradigm in the super sports car arena. Both models represent the ultimate expression of sporting performance of the two brands and are equipped with the most refined and high-performance engines, that fully represent their technical philosophy and design approach: the Ducati Desmosedici Stradale and the Lamborghini V12.

When two unmistakable design languages meet, such as those of Lamborghini and Ducati, the result is the perfect expression of values such as our Italian spirit and beauty that set us apart,” declared Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO Automobili Lamborghini. “With this partnership, Ducati has managed to masterfully interpret and translate the extreme sporting spirit and exclusivity of the Revuelto, including details and identifying elements of our stylistic DNA on the bike, creating a unique object that combines performance, excitement and character in pure Lamborghini style.

The inspiration behind the Panigale V4 is the Revuelto, Automobili Lamborghini’s first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) hybrid super sports car, the new benchmark in terms of performance, on-board technology and driving thrills. The absolute driving pleasure experienced behind the wheel is provided in no small part by the total 1015 hp generated by the powertrain, which combines the power of a new V12 internal combustion engine with three high-density electric motors and an innovative dual-clutch transverse gearbox. The Revuelto delivers performance and driving thrills never seen before. The extensive use of carbon fiber and other ultralight materials has led to the best weight-to-power ratio in Lamborghini history: 1.75 kg/CV. This translates into top performance, with 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in just 2.5 seconds, and maximum speed of over 350 km/h (220 mph).

The Revuelto starring in Milan Design Week represents the synergistic combined work of Lamborghini’s Centro Stile and its Ad Personam customization department.

    Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini

With the Panigale V4 Lamborghini, the partnership between these two icons of Italy’s Motor Valley is enriched by a new chapter that confirms and reinforces the values that inspire us: Italian excellence, sportiness and performance, with a design that is always distinctive,” declared Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati. “We were inspired by the Lamborghini Revuelto, thus creating an association between the two companies’ most exclusive and representative models. This choice confirms our constant desire to offer enthusiasts unique collector’s items of extraordinary beauty which can provide the most exciting on-road experience.”

The technical foundation for the Panigale V4 Lamborghini is the new V4 S (press kit here), a motorbike which is particularly advanced thanks to an integrated approach balanced between aerodynamics and design, an extremely effective chassis, and major electronic innovations such as the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and Race eCBS.

To create the V4 Lamborghini, Ducati’s Centro Stile worked alongside Lamborghini’s to design the unmistakable livery and a series of unique details inspired by the Revuelto, creating an exclusive bike limited to 630 numbered examples.

The forged aluminum wheel rims have been specifically designed for this motorbike and feature the same style as those of the Revuelto, while the tail piece and wings have been reworked by Ducati’s designers following the lines of the super sports car from Sant’Agata Bolognese.

The Panigale V4 Lamborghini is rendered particularly unique by the livery based on the black color of carbon fiber with visible texture, details in Verde Scandal, Grigio Telesto and Grigio Acheso, and the dedicated seat, which takes inspiration from the interior of the Revuelto.

As further proof of the attention to every single detail in this collaboration between the two brands, the bodywork and remaining components such as the heat shield, heel guard, and front and rear mudguards are entirely in carbon fibre, using the same weave featured in Lamborghini’s super sports cars. On the bike’s symmetry line, where the weave intersects, the typical herringbone design is found, the result of artisanal work of the highest precision.

The bike is equipped with an approved Akrapovič titanium silencer with carbon end caps, which together with a dedicated calibration for the engine, bring the maximum power of the Panigale V4 Lamborghini to 218.5 horsepower. The high number of carbon fiber components, combined with the silencer, bring the weight of the bike down to 185 kg, almost 2 kg less than the Panigale V4 S, with a power-to-weight ratio that thus goes from 1.15 to 1.18 HP/Kg. The Panigale V4 Lamborghini is the most powerful and lightest of the family.

The specifications of the Panigale V4 Lamborghini are rounded off by the dry clutch and adjustable footrests, brake and clutch levers, and counterweights made from billet aluminum. Those wanting to use their motorcycle on the track will have a racing tank cap in billet aluminum, brake caliper conveyors, carbon fiber open clutch cover, and a license plate holder removal kit, all included with the bike.

The bike is further enhanced by the plate on the engine bearing its name (Desmosedici Stradale); the triple clamp machined from billet aluminum; and the dedicated dashboard animation at key-on, including the name of the motorbike and the example number. The same number is also laser-etched onto the aluminum badge of the ignition key.

Each Panigale V4 Lamborghini is supplied with a certificate of authenticity and dedicated motorbike cover delivered in a special personalized box matching the livery. Moreover, every Panigale V4 Lamborghini will be delivered in an exclusive customized wooden crate, complete with dedicated rear stand once again matching the bike’s livery.

    Lamborghini Revuelto Ad Personam

The Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini draws inspiration from the revolutionary super sports car from the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer, sharing not only its spirit of extreme sporting performance and exclusivity, but also stylistic elements such as the iconic livery, the forged rims and the carbon fiber components, including the roof, engine hood and spoiler.

The vehicle features a unique configuration, starting with the style of the exterior thanks to dual-color livery in Grigio Telesto and Nero Noctis, enhanced by details in Verde Scandal. This latter color also features in other details of numerous components, such as the brake calipers and the band edged in Nero Noctis, which runs from the front hood to the vehicle’s tail. The 21″/22″ Altanero Shiny Black rims provide vigor to the side view.

Further “Ad Personam” customization elements are the lower livery on carbon fiber and the contrasting livery in Verde Scandal which extends onto the rear carbon wing, in addition to the “63” logo edged with the same color, a characteristic present only in the most exclusive models.

The interior of the Revuelto reflects the same attention to detail and customization. The Full Carbon Interior Pack is accompanied by Unicolor Leather & Corsa Tex upholstery, with contrasting stitching and profiles in Verde Scandal. The logo embroidered on the headrests and the mats with contrasting stitching use the same lively shade. Some of the standout “Ad Personam” content includes the customized seats in Nero Ade with “Y” upholstered in Verde Scandal, and hexagonal embroidery in Grigio Octans and Verde Scandal, repeated on the roof lining and door panels, with additional embroidery of the “63” logo and leather handles in the same green color. They are features which enhance the design of the Revuelto and which also feed into the specifications of the Borgo Panigale bike. Completing the customization are two carbon-fiber plates on the sides of the instrument panel: the first with the “Ad Personam” logo, and the second dedicated to the collaboration with the tagline “Drive Ducati Beyond.”

    Panigale V4 Lamborghini Speciale Clienti

In addition to these 630 examples, Ducati is also producing an even more exclusive series, named the Speciale Clienti, available only to 63 Lamborghini customers. These select few, in direct contact with the Ducati Centro Stile, will be able to transfer the color scheme of their Lamborghini to their Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini Speciale Clienti, or else choose from color combinations proposed by the Ducati Centro Stile.

It is a unique opportunity, which takes on an even greater meaning for Revuelto owners: the possibility to extend the customization of their super sports car to their bike will allow them to create the perfect pairing, a genuine custom garage where every detail reflects the customer’s identity.

In addition, for the Speciale Clienti it will also be possible to customize the engraving on the sides of the triple clamp, and the rear stand will be painted in the same chosen livery, making each example a unique and unrepeatable piece.

The unique nature of the partnership is further reinforced by the possibility – only for Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini owners – to complete their look with a limited-edition helmet, jacket and leather riding suit, featuring the same color scheme as the 630 bikes. Purchasers of the Speciale Clienti version can have the suit in the colors of their bike.

Deliveries of the Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini will commence in September 2025.

Range Rover at Milan Design Week

Leading luxury brand, Range Rover, has unveiled its first landmark installation at Milan Design Week: Futurespective: Connected Worlds, designed in collaboration with California‑based innovation design studio NUOVA, who create immersive spatial performances.

    [source: Range Rover]

Presented at the 18th century Palazzo Belgioioso, Futurespective: Connected Worlds is a dynamic experience that transports visitors between two time portals. Together with Range Rover’s in‑house creative team, NUOVA visually narrates Range Rover’s design lineage and enduring influence on modern luxury through a cinematic journey across the two distinct eras, from 1970 to 2025. A multisensory experience, the interiors include bespoke furniture and soundscapes alongside custom scents by Aeir, NUOVA’s carbon negative luxury fragrance brand, all designed exclusively for Range Rover.

The historic Piazza Belgioioso becomes the stage for time travel with a 25 metre monolith in the centre of the Piazza, adorned with a gold Range Rover brand motif that signals the entrance for time travel. Transporting visitors back to the moment of the inaugural vehicle production, the first capsule takes inspiration from an original 1970s car dealership. At its centre, a particularly significant Classic Range Rover: the very first of the marque’s pre‑production vehicles built ahead of its launch in 1970, ‘YVB 151H’ sits within a nostalgic seventies interior. A celebration of the earliest Range Rover and the brand’s roots in luxury design, the two‑door pre‑production car in its original Olive Green colour is staged within a wooden paneled room with rich colours and tactile textures. NUOVA has designed custom furniture pieces for the space, including an oxblood red sofa, a circular version of their Enzo table in white Carrara marble and bespoke desk chairs. Retro details—such as a fish tank, archival artifacts, and original sketches—enhance the era’s ambiance. The space is bathed in a warm light from 44 bespoke beam ceiling lights, accentuating the iconic silhouettes and luxurious colours within the interior.

A multi‑dimensional experience, the time spent in the first portal is an orchestrated musical performance which play through Dorothy, their chrome plated speaker in the space and is filled with Grand Rose, an incense‑like fragrance that evokes the scents of the seventies with notes of old dollar bills and leather. NUOVA has created bespoke artifacts for time travel for Range Rover, alongside custom‑designed furniture, outfits for the ‘time travel’ concierge have been designed in collaboration with LA based luxury garment atelier L’Equip, inspired by 1970s workwear and British fashion.

From here, visitors journey into the next timeframe. Representing Range Rover’s contemporary vision, the second capsule is a future‑looking ethereal space with a prismatic light box interior lined with vertical mirror pillars, acting as symbols for strings of time. In the centre of the space, flooded by light, is the latest fifth‑generation Range Rover Autobiography, an emblem of modern luxury travel. Crafted with a Bespoke metallic green exterior finish – a tribute to its Classic predecessor – the interplay between the two cars and spaces is a symbol of the brand’s informed evolution and identity. This capsule offers a moment of reflection, with ambient sounds and a custom cool scent Wet Stone filling the space.

Throughout the time travel experience, guests will be guided by hosts who embody their respective era.

An era is coming to an end: Golf legend Bernhard Langer prepares to compete in the Masters Tournament one last time. 40 years after his first victory at Augusta National Golf Club, the two-time Masters champion returns after postponing his retirement from the Masters stage last year due to injury. In recognition of his extraordinary career and his two Masters wins, Mercedes-Benz honors him with a one-of-a-kind vehicle.

In anticipation of the Tournament, Mercedes-Benz hands over a custom vehicle for brand ambassador Bernhard Langer, who has been associated with the brand for almost 40 years: A personalised S‑Class featuring exclusive options from the MANUFAKTUR individualisation programme.

This one-off handcrafted vehicle boasts distinct details: It is adorned with embroidered Masters logos, meticulously crafted with over 2,800 stitches, as well as Bernhard Langer’s signature. The customisation was executed at the in-house Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR facility in Sindelfingen, where dedicated, experienced and specially trained masters of their craft combine craftsmanship, attention to detail and state-of-the-art production technologies.

This right here is exactly why we started our Tailored Driver experiment, and why we saw a need in the space. Audi North Park has a very cool TT S in the rarely seen Aventurine Orange Mica- that’s the headline. But based on presentation, you’d really need to be looking to find it. Billed as Tango Red, this higher-mile TT S hasn’t been prepped for sale in a meaningful way- visibly dirty, missing the tow hook cover on it’s front bumper, boiler plate description text. Quite likely to be a 1 of 1, frankly the car deserves better and the reality is that unless you’re nearby, it’s nearly impossible to assess the true condition of the car. So a the current asking price of $26,995, is this Tailored Driver one you’re willing to take a chance on? We’re going to remain neutral on that for now, we just hope the next steward cares more than the selling dealer seems to.

Crewe, England – Bentley Motors today revealed ground-breaking AI technology that will enhance the craftsmanship, sustainability and innovation of the brand’s iconic car interiors, a fundamental part of Bentley’s Beyond100+ strategy. The AI-powered Hide Inspection system will revolutionise the way leather is assessed and selected for use, reducing waste and cost while detecting tiny imperfections otherwise unseen by the naked eye.

This pioneering innovation further supports Bentley’s ambition to be the future benchmark of luxury car manufacturing with ultra-flexible, hyper personalised facilities that combine craftsmanship and digital manufacturing concepts.

Around nine hides are required for a luxury Bentayga SUV interior alone but as a natural product, all leather is prone to imperfections. That includes insect bites, holes and scars that ultimately affect overall trim quality. Bentley’s innovative new process uses advanced camera technology and artificial intelligence to ensure every cut of leather selected is of the very highest standard.

The state-of-the-art technique – the first time it has been adopted in the Volkswagen Group – saves the painstaking process of inspecting and monitoring each hide by hand from Bentley’s highly-skilled colleagues.

However, AI-Powered Hide Inspection does not entirely replace the skills of Bentley’s highly-trained craftspeople. By automating the manual inspection process, the system provides the highest quality hide, which craftspeople can then use to deliver intricate hand-sewn detailing – the finishing that makes a Bentley cabin truly unique.

The new Hide Inspection system also allows for faster processing, as multiple hides can be inspected at once. The programme works alongside existing cutting processes to optimise leather use for over 200 trim parts per car. At the same time, the resulting reduced waste and CO₂ emissions, a reduction of 135.7 kg CO₂ emissions per car,  further support Bentley’s industry-leading Beyond100+ strategy.

Andreas Lehe, Member of the Board for Manufacturing at Bentley Motors, said:

“Our car interiors are crafted from the finest natural leather. The investment in this pioneering new technology further enhances the sustainability of Bentley’s luxurious cabins, reducing waste and optimising leather usage. Hide Inspection also showcases how cutting-edge innovation and Bentley’s traditional craftsmanship techniques can co-exist side-by-side.

“Hide Inspection is just one of many industry-first innovations at our Dream Factory in Crewe, where all Bentley models are built. Our Beyond100+ strategy will see the company reinvent its entire product range to support a more sustainable, electrified future. That includes Bentley’s new digital, zero environmental impact manufacturing and quality facility, as well as the development of our first BEV (battery electric vehicle), one that will set the benchmark for the luxury cars of the future.”

We’ve covered the Audi TT RS Heritage cars in the past, but due to incredibly limited quantities and equally tasteful build configurations, we simply do not see them often. Just 50 in total (10 each of five different heritage-themed color combinations) were produced, which nearly guarantees the buyer of this particular Tailored Driver be the only one they’ll ever encounter- a feat usually reserved for cars in the 6 and 7 figure range. Through that lens, the modest bump in pricing over a run of the mill TT RS seems like a downright bargain. So here we’ve got nearly the perfect vehicle for the Tailored Driver ethos- an enthusiast model that boasts scarcity at a somewhat attainable price of entry.

A massive thank you to Matt for the submission! If you have a line on something Tailored Driver should be featuring or may have missed, please do not hesitate to send us a private message.
