Market Find: Porsche Paint to Sample Linen Grey Metallic over Leather to Sample Linen Grey 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet

    What: 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet
Color: Paint to Sample Linen Grey Metallic (leinenmetallic; metallic UNI; 55; Porsche)
    VIN: WP0CB29918S777288
    Mileage: 65,920 miles
    Price: $55,950

    Listing: Park Place Limited

Perhaps in current times a C4S cab with a $126k sticker price wouldn’t be a shock (they now start at $159k), but back in 2008 it was nearly unheard of. Yet here we find ourselves, featuring this Linen-on-Linen sporting both Paint and Leather to Sample from the factory. Due to the beauty of depreciation and a minor on the CarFax from 2018, this frankly impressive build can be had for less than half the cost it was new- before inflation. We’d be remiss if we didn’t admit this spec isn’t one that would normally get such a big reaction in our offices, but the level of taste displayed is tough to match. The subtlety of its paint matched center console that ever-so-slightly contrasts the miles of Linen leather is just spectacular, as is the choice of Carbon accents over a more theme-appropriate wood grain. Our only edit would be to toss the aftermarket for a Porsche Classic unit.

Affalterbach.  With the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ (combined energy consumption 9.8‑9.3 l/100 km, combined CO2 emissions 223‑212 g/km, CO2 class: G) [1], AMG introduced a sporty-elegant masterpiece last year that quickly became one of the most popular models in the product portfolio. The vehicle, available as both a Coupé and a Cabriolet, is powered by an extensively modified 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine with double charging. The engine delivers 330 kW (449 hp) and offers a maximum torque of 560 Nm, with Overboost even reaching 600 Nm for a short period. Technical highlights such as the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ make the CLE an absolute dream car. This allows the vehicle to perform dynamically and agilely, creating a driving experience that perfectly harmonises with the expressive design of the series. Now, an exclusive “Limited Edition” makes the Coupé and Cabriolet even more desirable.

This “Limited Edition” is extensively equipped with numerous packages. In addition, parts are wrapped in a film with a large AMG logo and colour accents in yellow on the Coupé and black/blue on the Cabriolet. The Coupé is painted in matte MANUFAKTUR graphite grey magno while the Cabriolet also comes in a matte AMG exclusive MANUFAKTUR spectral blue magno.

The “Limited Edition” Coupé rolls on 20‑inch forged wheels in a distinctive cross-spoke design with yellow rim flanges, which are reserved for the edition. For the Cabriolet, polished 20‑inch light-alloy wheels are fitted.

Various equipment packages make the “Limited Edition” even more desirable:

    • AMG Night Package (Coupé exclusive)
Striking design details in high-gloss black emphasise the expressive character of the vehicle. This includes the trim strip in the AMG front apron and the trim on the front wings. Also integrated are the exterior mirror housings, inserts in the AMG side member panelling, beltline trim and window surrounds. In addition, there is a trim strip in the rear apron and the two twin tailpipe trims of the AMG exhaust system. Heat-insulating dark-tinted windows after the B‑pillars round off the package.
    • AMG Night Package II (Coupé exclusive)
High-quality design details in dark chrome also make the edition an eye-catcher. These include an AMG‑specific radiator grille, struts in the air intake and the typography on the front wings and at the rear.
    • AMG Styling Package (Coupé exclusive)
Numerous elements in high-gloss black combine with the dark details of the Night package to create an expressive overall look. It includes an AMG front apron in a progressive design with side flics, AMG spoiler lip on the boot lid, AMG rear apron with diffuser plate and flics in the side air outlets.
    • AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre Package I (Cabriolet exclusive)
The carbon elements for the exterior emphasise the exclusive character of the Edition and give it an even sportier look. A trim strip in the AMG front apron, insert in the AMG side member panelling and trim strip in the rear apron are all made from this elegant material.
    • AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre Package II
A carbon-fibre spoiler lip and exterior mirror housings in carbon-fibre design emphasise the performance character.
    • AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package (Coupé and Cabriolet)
This package combines particularly sporty equipment details for an even more emotional driving experience. In the “Limited Edition,” the AMG Performance steering wheel has a MICROCUT carbon design/microfibre. Specifically for the colour matching of the edition, both models receive grey-painted brake callipers with AMG lettering in both front and rear. Active engine mounts allow the driver to adjust the connection between the engine and the chassis for a more comfortable or sportier driving experience.
    • AMG Driver’s Package
The top speed of the “Limited Edition” is increased to 270 km/h (168 mph).

Sporty interior with AMG Performance seats
The interior of the “Limited Edition” also has an unmistakable design. The AMG Performance High-End Seat Package offers seats with upholstery in black AMG Nappa leather and yellow contrasting topstitching in the Coupé. In the Cabriolet, the seats are upholstered in edition exclusive AMG Nappa leather in white with black accents. In both cases, AMG trim elements in carbon fibre further enhance the interior. The door-sill panels with AMG lettering are illuminated in yellow (Coupé) or white (Cabriolet) and are fitted with interchangeable covers. The AMG floor mats for the special model feature yellow (Coupé) or white (Cabriolet) AMG badges and yellow (Coupé) or white (Cabriolet) topstitching.

To protect the bodywork, the edition includes a customised, specific AMG indoor car cover. With a breathable outer skin made of tear-resistant synthetic fibre fabric and anti-static inner fabric made of flannel, it protects the vehicle from dust and scratches in the garage.

The “Limited Edition” can now be ordered as a Coupé or Cabriolet. UK deliveries will begin this summer.

  • Mercedes-Benz G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s

    Mercedes-Benz G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s

    • Vintage colors and numerous design details capture the charm of the historic G-Class
    • Exclusive edition strictly limited to 460 units worldwide
    • Interior combines heritage-inspired elements with modern comfort and technology

    [source: Mercedes-Benz]

Mercedes-Benz delights G-Class enthusiasts with the new highly exclusive G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s. With a compelling blend of historic colors, exclusive design elements and equipment details from the legendary 280 GE, it captures the magic of the off-road legend’s origins. The special model pays tribute to the first G-Class model series (W 460), which first captured people’s hearts in the 1980s with its unique combination of on- and off-road capability and laid the foundation for the unrivaled success and cult status of the iconic “Geländewagen.” Strictly limited to 460 units globally, the G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s arrives at select U.S. dealerships later in 2025.

    Historic colors and design elements

The limited G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s fuses the modern technology and comfort of a 2025 Mercedes-Benz G 550 with the charm and aesthetics of a heritage model. Customers can choose between three nostalgic paint finishes, which were among the first paint options for the G-Class.

    • MANUFAKTUR Agave Green: The earthy green radiates robustness and closeness to nature and emphasizes the outstanding off-road capability of the G-Class.
    • MANUFAKTUR Cream: The classic and timeless color exudes a touch of elegance and sophistication and was a popular choice among customers who primarily used the G-Class for city driving.
    • MANUFAKTUR Colorado Beige: The warm, sandy hue conveys a sense of adventure and freedom and emphasizes the versatile character of the G-Class.

Prominent amber indicator lights above each headlight also provide a vintage touch. To round off the vintage styling, the complete front fascia, radiator grille, brush guard, underguard, front and rear bumpers, side sills, flared wheel arches and exterior mirror housings are finished in MANUFAKTUR Night Black Magno, echoing the rugged look of the first G-Class. Classic 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels in silver provide a striking contrast.

The Mercedes star on the hood employs the design of the historic emblem, featuring the Mercedes-Benz laurel wreath and lettering on a blue background. The tailgate door also features a unique design element paying tribute to the 1980s – the silver brand badge featuring black “Mercedes-Benz” lettering – and an edition-specific spare wheel cover.

Select equipment details from the PROFESSIONAL Line Exterior contribute to the powerful off-road appearance, including PROFESSIONAL mud flaps and all-terrain tires. Vehicles finished in MANUFAKTUR Agave Green are also fitted with the PROFESSIONAL roof rack.

The MANUFAKTUR Logo Package in black, which features black door handles with an embossed “G” logo, further exemplifies the attention to detail. A projection below the exterior mirrors welcomes the driver and front passenger with “G – STRONGER THAN TIME” illuminated alongside the vehicle.

Dove Grey fabric seat inserts and 1980s-style “Schöckl Proved” badge

The interior of the G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s also highlights unique elements in homage to the early days of the off-road icon. The seat inserts of the black leather seats are upholstered with Dove Grey fabric that was highly popular at the time. “STRONGER THAN THE 1980s” branding is incorporated into the front passenger grab handle. The front door sill panels feature the topography of Schöckl mountain near Graz, showcasing the test track where the G-Class has proven its exceptional off-road capabilities since 1979. The traditional “Schöckl Proved” badge at the base of the B-pillar is designed in a classic 1980s style, displaying a heritage G-Class model in the respective vehicle color. A “1 of 460” badge adorns the center console of each vehicle, which underscores the exclusivity of this special model.

What’s the origin of ’91 Blue? We don’t really know, but it’s not that we haven’t tried to figure it out. We even reached out to a member of the product team at Volkswagen who made the cars happen. Here’s what we got.

“91 Blue was already part of the VW Exclusice catalog and chosen by Canada for the yet to be named Spektrum program. We assumed the same colors Canada was offering, and added several more.”

So, we dug a bit. We have yet to find 91 Blue anywhere else, though we do have a color code. Perhaps it came from another brand, or perhaps it harks a paint of another time.

Miami Blue of the Golf Mk1 era seems not that far off, but it’s definitely a different code and we’d want to see them both in person before drawing that comparison. Interestingly, there was no Miami Blue in the Spektrum lineup.

Back to the car, this is a low mileage example of a very rare car. Those seeking something special, particularly in the form of a hot hatch, will want to take notice and do so quickly.

America’s oldest permanent road course will be reimagined to include:

    • A world-class motorsport facility, open to the public, incorporating complete renovation of all racing tracks, pit and paddock facilities.
    • A luxury private members’ club hosted by Singer.
    • A technology hub for race teams and manufacturer development and testing.
    • An enthusiast zone with car storage, fully equipped servicing and restoration facilities, including a museum and retail.
    • A venue for automotive gatherings celebrating California’s influence on global car culture.

ROSAMOND, CA – The future is bright for America’s oldest permanent road course. Willow Springs International Raceway, which was listed for sale last summer by long-time owners the Huth family, has been purchased by an affiliate of CrossHarbor Capital Partners in collaboration with Singer Vehicle Design.

CrossHarbor, an alternative investment management firm with an extensive portfolio of commercial real estate and resort residential development, recently closed escrow on the property. The purchase ensures a successful road ahead for the Kern County raceway, as CrossHarbor and its partners focus on preserving the facility’s rich history while making significant investments to establish it as the premier venue for automotive enthusiasts.

“We are thrilled to begin a new chapter with such a beloved facility,” said Sam Byrne, co-founder of CrossHarbor Capital Partners. “We are committed to serving the community for decades to come and creating a space where all members of the car community can collectively share their enthusiasm for Willow Springs and motorsports. Along with Singer, we are collaborating with recognized and respected names within the auto industry and are excited to partner with them in pursuit of this definitive California experience.”

    A Motorsports Destination for Everyone
The new ownership group sees public access as a key aspect of Willow Springs’ success, and the raceway will continue to host both public and private events.  Existing tracks, including all three road courses, will remain open to the public and undergo enhancements to improve safety.  A variety of track layouts, including karting, ATV courses and driver instruction, will continue to be available to a broad range of interests.

    Singer at Willow Springs
In addition to being an owner, Singer will partner with CrossHarbor to create its first private member’s club. Membership will be open to Singer’s clients as well as other like-minded enthusiasts and will enable drivers to bring their vehicles for track days and related experiences. With its proximity to one of the largest luxury and sports car markets in the world, Willow Springs promises to redefine what it means to belong to an automotive enthusiast community.

Singer’s Chief Strategy Officer, Mazen Fawaz, commented: “Willow Springs is an important part of California’s motorsport heritage for enthusiasts, and everyone with an automotive obsession. Singer has two decades of track days, racing, and development at Willow’s circuits.  We are delighted to help make sure that it’s in safe hands and can be an even more impressive part of California’s car culture for the next seventy years. Its custodianship is a responsibility we are not taking lightly, and our partners could not be better suited to see it through.”

For information about membership opportunities, click here.

    Experts and Enthusiasts
CrossHarbor has already begun an in-depth evaluation of the raceway’s extensive facilities and will initially focus on track and safety improvements, including adding more asphalt and curbs and enhancing run-off areas with leveling and gravel. Future plans include maintaining Willow Springs’ history while upgrading its facilities, improving food and beverage offerings, and refining the track and driving experience.

CrossHarbor and Singer do not intend to ever sell Willow Springs and have brought together a group of passionate motorsport enthusiasts to join as co-owners in the facility, all with a long-term, multigenerational goal of preservation and improvement. A number of recognized consultants have been enlisted to support and plan future improvements, including:

    • Former Formula 1 driver, Le Mans winner and track designer Alex Wurz, head of Wurz Design, who will enhance existing track design and safety.
    • Renowned for its leadership in motorsports entertainment and venue management, Speedway Motorsports’ subsidiary Sonoma Raceway, bringing years of expertise in delivering premier on-track experiences, will oversee track operations to help create a world class motorsports facility.
    • Hart Howerton, a world-recognized master planner, will create off-track elements to enhance Willow Springs’ customer and member experience.

Information about upcoming improvements, events and raceway news will be shared as they become available. For more information about Willow Springs, visit willowspringsraceway.com.

Grosse Pointe, Michigan – Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY) company, has announced an exceedingly rare 1989 RUF CTR Yellowbird, chassis no. W09BT0348KPR06023, to lead its second annual Porsche Auction in partnership with Air|Water. Set for April 26 at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California, the single-day auction held within the Air|Water event will once again feature more than 50 desirable Porsches along with a selection of coveted Porsche memorabilia pieces.

The importance of the original RUF CTR cannot be understated—it remains the benchmark for the entire brand, the reference performance car of its generation, and a rare classic for a new generation of collectors. The example Broad Arrow has the pleasurey of presenting at the Porsche Air|Water auction is one of only 29 W09 Group C Turbo Ruf (CTR) Yellowbirds built and is known to be the only Yellowbird specified with a special lightweight interior. A fully matching-numbers example, it is also Factory authenticated by its RUF Zertifikat in 2016. Equipped with a 3.4-liter twin-turbo flat six with a RUF six-speed manual transmission producing 469 horsepower and capable of a 213-mph top speed, it was the fastest production car at the time. This is truly an exceptional example of RUF’s record-breaking supercar made world-famous at the Nürburgring by test driver Stefan Roser. The CTR Yellowbird is estimated to bring $4,500,000 to $5,500,000 later this month.

Alexander WeaverSenior Car Specialist and VP of Private Sales for Broad Arrow states, “The Ruf CTR represents the pinnacle of all rear-engine supercars and is the ultimate design evolution of the model. These low-production examples are without question one of the most sought-after supercars of our time and continue to gain ground in both their value as well as collectability, especially against their contemporary competitors.”

Weaver goes on to say, “The upcoming Air|Water auction is comprised of a terrific offering of Porsche models and in addition to the RUF, cars like the 1990 911 Reimagined by Singer, 1966 Carrera 6 and Turbo 3.6 X88 bring together highlights from all eras and facets of the brand. The auction, coupled with the already sold-out Saturday show, will be a highlight on the Porsche calendar for 2025, and we look forward to welcoming clients from around the world for what will surely be an exciting and unrepeatable weekend.”

Additional highlights for the Porsche Air|Water auction feature a series of sought-after Porsche performance and racing icons. The group includes:

    • 1966 Porsche 906 (Estimate: $1,600,000 – $1,900,000), chassis no. 906-140, an excellent example of the streamlined, prototype sports racer that captured an overall victory at the 1966 Targa Florio and signaled the dawn of a new golden age of endurance racing. This particular car is offered in largely unrestored condition, retaining numerous as-built details. It is fitted with a replacement magnesium-case Type 910 flat-six and its original serialized racing gearbox. It is finished in blue livery as campaigned by sports car dealer and racing driver Monte Shelton in the late 1960s.
    • 1990 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer (Estimate: $1,050,000 – $1,250,000), chassis no. WP0AB2961LS451139, known as the “Central Florida” commission. This exceptionally specified 911 is finished in Singer Racing White—a color that pays tribute to some of Porsche’s earliest models—and is well-equipped to offer vastly improved performance. It is powered by the 4.0-liter Ed Pink-built air-cooled flat-six engine and boasts an Öhlins 2-Way sport adjustable suspension, and premium Brembo brakes with carbon ceramic rotors. Well-optioned with multiple Special Wishes items, it is the perfect harmony of mechanical excellence and timeless design and has covered less than 2,300 miles since Reimagining.
    • 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 X88 (Estimate: $530,000 – $560,000), chassis no. WP0ZZZ96ZRS470400, one of the most desirable of the so-called Porsche Works Performance “package cars”. This car is one of only 64 examples of the X88 Works Performance Package produced for the 1994 911 Turbo 3.6. It features an enhanced M64/50 air-cooled flat-six producing 385 horsepower and the rare X92 front lip spoiler typically reserved for the exclusive Turbo S X88. Finished in striking Paint-to-Sample non-metallic “Ferrari Yellow” over a Black leather interior, it is offered with only 52,848 km recorded at cataloging and following a recent extensive engine and suspension service.
    • 2012 RUF Rt 12 S (Estimate: $600,000 – $700,000), chassis no. The Rt 12 was produced in exceptionally limited numbers, with each car custom-built to its owner’s specifications. Given its rare configuration, well-documented service history, and recent maintenance by R-Strada, this final model year Rt 12 S stands as one of the most coveted RUF automobiles available, especially considering its factory-fitted R-specification 730 horsepower engine and 200+ mph performance.

The previous collaborations between Ducati and Lamborghini have shown how the pursuit of shared values – such as the authenticity of ‘Made in Italy’, a vocation for sporting brilliance and pioneering design – can spawn truly original projects.

The first example was the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini, inspired by the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 and presented on 25 November 2020 in a limited edition of 630 models. This was a motorbike that reinterpreted the stylistic hallmarks of one of the brand’s most iconic cars.

Developed based on the Ducati Diavel 1260 S, the Lamborghini version was transformed in terms of its most distinctive elements. The predilection for fine lightweight materials, a characteristic trait of the Sant’Agata Bolognese-manufactured super sports cars, and shared by Ducati, was translated into wide use of carbon fiber for numerous components of the bike to further elevate its performance. The design of the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini was born from the creative synergy between the Ducati Centro Stile and the Lamborghini Centro Stile, combining the stylistic authenticity of both marques.

The success of this first project laid solid foundations for an equally exciting second chapter: the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini, inspired by the uncompromising power and extreme engineering of the Lamborghini Huracán STO.

Presented at the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix in September 2022, this model further strengthened the bond between the two brands, conveying the style and performance of a genuine Lamborghini super sports car to a motorcycle. This limited and numbered edition was also a remarkable success, with 630 units and an additional 63 exclusive units dedicated to Lamborghini customers in a clear acknowledgment of the authenticity and originality of the project.

Now, excitement is growing around the third chapter of this amazing partnership. Ducati and Lamborghini are ready to celebrate their union, built on extreme performance, cutting-edge engineering and a shared performance DNA, during the prestigious Milano Design Week on 9 April.

Crewe, England Bentley’s new Black Edition models combine the dark, daring and assertive visual impact of the Blackline specification with a 680 PS powertrain and chassis combination oriented towards high performance. Unique exterior features include new gloss black ‘Winged B’ badges front and rear, Mandarin brake callipers and Black Edition badging, combining to reveal the darker side of the Continental GT and Flying Spur families. Production at Bentley’s Dream Factory will be limited to 400 examples total, worldwide.

Black Edition models combine the new High Performance Hybrid powertrain with the Bentley Performance Active Chassis; the latter feature was previously only available for Speed models. The powertrain, which unites a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with a powerful E-motor, delivers a combined 680 PS and 930 Nm, for performance that betters the previous-generation GT Speed.

    Design highlights

The new Black Edition models feature Bentley’s Blackline specification, creating a subtle, sleek, stealthy visual impression. Individual features include gloss black matrix grille and bumper grilles, Beluga black front splitter, and gloss black brightware. Uniquely, Black Edition models also carry gloss black ‘Winged B’ badges and Bentley lettering along with Black Edition badges on the front fenders. The 22” ten-spoke alloy wheels are finished in gloss black, though a duo-tone black and bright machined finish is offered as an option. Striking a brilliant note of contrast, Mandarin orange brake callipers are a no-cost option on all three models.

Black Edition Continental GT and GTCs feature the Harmony single headlamp design (and welcome animation) that recently made its debut on the core and Azure models.

Interiors feature the Black Edition namestyle embroidered on the front seat headrests of the Continental models and all four headrests for the Flying Spur. Also included are Piano Black veneer trim, Black Edition treadplates and contrast stitching in a colour of the owner’s choice. Comfort seats, mood lighting, the Bentley Rotating Display, sports pedals and the Mood Lighting specification are all part of the extensive specification.

    Powertrain and chassis

All Black Edition models are powered by Bentley’s new High Performance Hybrid, which unites a 520 PS 4.0l V8 engine with a 190 PS E-Motor. They combine to develop a peak output of 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque. The 0-100km/h sprint takes just 3.7 seconds for the Continental GT, while the Continental GT Convertible and Flying Spur post 3.9 seconds for the same benchmark. All models have the capability to travel 50 miles / 80 km in electric-only driving. Also included in the Black Edition specification is the Sports Exhaust, which intensifies the charismatic snarl of Bentley’s 4.0-litre V8 engine at full throttle.

The Bentley Performance Active Chassis technology of the new Black Edition models has until now only been offered with the 782 PS Speed models. This allows drivers to enjoy an even greater range of dynamic capabilities, from Comfort and Bentley modes to a performance-focused Sport mode. In Sport mode, Bentley Performance Active Chassis can send up to 100 per cent of the power to the rear wheels, providing natural, intuitive and agile driving dynamics. Sport mode also effects a marked difference in rear wheel steering calibration together with firmer damping and anti-roll bar calibrations.  This gives the driver a feeling of more direct steering and greater agility for a deeper sense of connection with the car.
