  • Market Find: 2019 Audi exclusive Solar Orange RS 5 Coupe

Market Find: 2019 Audi exclusive Solar Orange RS 5 Coupe

    What: 2019 Audi RS 5
Color: Audi exclusive Solar Orange (Solarorange; metallic uni; LY2G; Audi)
    VIN: WUAPWAF59KA905682
    Mileage: 41,229 miles
    Price: $45,991
    CarFax: Link
    Window Sticker: N/A
Location: Palmer Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Roswell, GA
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

How quickly we find our way back to Orange. Audi exclusive Solar Orange was chosen for this RS 5, with the added bonus of Audi exclusive deviated stitching in a matching Signal Orange found in the interior. In no doubt aided by the bold choice in color, this mega-sticker Tailored Driver is currently on offer at a Stellantis dealer for the seemingly low asking price of $45,991. If we had to guess, we’d say that’s likely half off its original asking price.

  • EU Market Find: 1992 Porsche Turbo-Look 911 C2 Cabriolet with Leather to Sample

EU Market Find: 1992 Porsche Turbo-Look 911 C2 Cabriolet with Leather to Sample

    What: 1992 Porsche 911 C2 Cabriolet
Color: Porsche Midnight Blue Metallic (nachtblau; metallic uni; 37W / 39C / E9; Porsche)
    VIN: Unknown
    Mileage: 161,589 kilometers
    Price: €114,500
    CarFax: N/A
    Window Sticker: N/A
    Location: Movendi, Dusseldorf, Germany
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

We’re big fans of the road less traveled here, that’s not exactly a secret. This Tailored Driver is exactly that- finished in Porsche’s Midnight Blue Metallic (rare), with 1992’s 911 C2 Cab Rest-of-World only Turbo Look body optioned (more rare) Leather to Sample in an unknown light blue (incredibly rare). Per the listing this Tailored Driver is one of just 1,532 C2s optioned with the factory widebody, and has spent the entirety of it’s life in Germany. Being a 1992 model year example, importation to the US should be a breeze using a reputable vendor like Orchid Euro.

  • Market Find: 2019 VW Golf R Spektrum in Irish Green (Round 2)

Market Find: 2019 VW Golf R Spektrum in Irish Green (Round 2)

What: 2019 Volkswagen Golf R Spektrum
Color: Spektrum Irish Green (irischgrün; Y78; Porsche)
    VIN: WVWVA7AU4KW202921
    Mileage: 30,057 miles
    Price: $44,995
    CarFax: Link
    Original MSRP: $41,495
    Location: Wyomissing, PA
    Listing: Link

    Why we love it:

We’ve said it before (literally) and we’ll say it again. Irish Green is one of the best colors you could have gotten on Volkswagen’s 2019 run of Golf R Spektrum cars painted very special colors. Yes, we’ve seen this car before. It transacted on Bring a Trailer late last year, and it looks like it ended up in the inventory of Wyomissing, PA dealer Bay 22.

Since then, it’s only logged about 50+ miles, and it’s got its stock wheels back (that we’d argue help the value and collectibility of the car). No dis on aftermarket wheels, they just don’t bring value on collector sites like Bring a Trailer.

Back to this Golf, it remains a very special car and a worthy pursuit for a Volkswagen aficionado. That it’s painted a truly tasteful Porsche heritage color only adds to that.

  • Market Find: 2016 Porsche Paint to Sample Gulf Orange Cayman GT4

Market Find: 2016 Porsche Paint to Sample Gulf Orange Cayman GT4

    What: 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4
Color: Paint to Sample Gulf Orange  (golforange; non-metallic uni; 019; Porsche)
    VIN: WP0AC2A86GK191174
    Mileage: 29,612 miles
    Price: $99,450
    CarFax: Link
    Window Sticker: N/A
Location: Porsche of Tyson’s Corner, VA
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

While Gulf Blue seems to get a ton of play due to its deep roots in Porsche’s racing history, Paint to Sample Gulf Orange, shown here on a 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4, isn’t so common. On the surface, it makes sense- the subtlety of Gulf Blue is not found here. But is a GT variant Porsche about blending in? In the eyes of Tailored Driver, not for a moment. If you agree, you can acquire this Cayman GT4 for just under $100k.

  • Market Find: Singer Blueberry Commission 911 Targa at Broad Arrow

Market Find: Singer Blueberry Commission 911 Targa at Broad Arrow

What: 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Targa “Blueberry” Reimagined by Singer
    Color: Blue Blood (unknown)
    Chassis #: WP0BB2963MS440455
Mileage: 49 miles (at time of listing) since restoration
    Estimated Price: Inquire
    CarFax: N/A
    Window Sticker: N/A
    Location: Undisclosed Location, USA
    Listing: Link

    Why we love it:

You don’t see a lot of Targas in the 911 world, and that goes for 911s reimagined by Singer as well. Yes, they do happen and make a compelling case for open-top motoring without the chassis flex of a full-blown roadster. When they’ve been reimagined as a fully-blown Singer Commission, that case becomes even more compelling.

If chassis flex is a concern, it’s also worth sharing that before reimagining a Targa shell, the team at Singer seam weld the chassis for added rigidity.

This car, known simply as “Blueberry”, is painted a color known as Blue Blood, with Deep Orange on the brake rotors, Carrera stripes and other accent details. Inside, the cockpit was specified with Orange and Dark Navy leather with carbon bucket seats and custom details throughout the interior. Its 4.0-liter flat six was specced with RS+ cams and titanium exhaust, the suspension from Öhlins and the brakes from Brembo.

The car is available through private sales at Broad Arrow. Check it out via the link above.

  • EU Market Find: Lancia Delta Integrale Evo II Bianco Perlato

EU Market Find: Lancia Delta Integrale Evo II Bianco Perlato

What: 1994 Lancia Delta Integrale Bianco Perlato
Color: Bianco Perla (biancoperla; metallic uni; 271; Lancia)
    VIN: Unknown
    Mileage: 51,000 km, 31,689 miles
    Price: €150,000
    CarFax: N/A
    Window Sticker: N/A
Location: Private Party Sale, Taranto, Italy
    Sales listing: Link

    Why we love it:

The Delta Integrale holds a special place in the hearts of auto enthusiasts as a rally homologation special. By mainstream measure, a 5-door hatchback is not the expected stuff of legends, but consider the hardware and engineering that goes into making such an economy car into a rally legend with six-consecutive WRC championships from 1987-1992 and the logic begins to make sense. Also… box flares.

Seriously though, despite a less-than-optimum driving and steering wheel position, the Lancia Delta Integrale has built a cult-like following for these rally-bred reasons. Top of the heap is the Delta Integrale Evoluzione II. Now throw in limited edition with series production of just 365 and the collectibility factor grows even more.

Over its time in production, Lancia built several special edition models – Martini 6, Verde York, Blu Lagos, Giallo Ginestra and, finally, the Bianco Perlato you see here. Painted Bianco Perla (pearl white) over dark blue leather, it is a color combination dripping in 1990s fashion.

  • Market Find: 2022 Audi exclusive Oak Green Metallic SQ7

Market Find: 2022 Audi exclusive Oak Green Metallic SQ7

    What: 2022 Audi SQ7
Color: Audi exclusive Oak Green Metallic (oakgrünperleffekt; metallic uni; Q82; Audi)
    VIN: WA1VWBF77ND006196
    Mileage: 47,295 miles
    Price: $79,800
    CarFax: Link
    Window Sticker: N/A
    Location: Audi of Richfield, MN
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

At first, our minds played tricks on us. Audi of Richfield, Minnesota bills this Tailored Driver as “District Green Metallic”, and we’ll admit it had us briefly fooled. District is much darker, but in some lights it can pop so we assumed this was more a case of poor lighting and editing as opposed to mistaken identity. It made quite a bit of sense then, when friend of the site Topher actually confirmed this SQ7 as Oak Green. Oak is a longtime favorite and a frequent flyer around here, so we’ll let the images speak for themselves rather than to wax poetic.

  • Market Find: 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in PTS Meissen Blue

Market Find: 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in PTS Meissen Blue

    What: 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Color: Meissen Blue (meißenblau; non-metallic uni; Z54 / 5703; Porsche)
    Chassis #: WP0AF2A96RS272338
    Mileage: 4,133 miles
    Price: $459,992
    CarFax: Link
    Window Sticker: N/A
Location: Porsche North Houston, Houston, TX
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

There are so many reasons we love this Certified Pre-Owned 911 GT3 RS in the used car inventory over at Porsche North Houston. For starters, it had us at Weissach Package 911 GT3 RS. We also seriously appreciate that the first owner didn’t just buy it to flip it, loging over 4,000 miles on the odometer before trading it in on whatever is next.

Still, we didn’t even get to the Paint to Sample decisions made on this specification. First, it’s Meissen Blue, a pastel or powder blue hue that dates back to Porsche 356s of the 1950s. In this case, the original owner also chose dark blue graphics on the bodywork and color-matched alloy wheels – both of these decisions being choices we can seriously get behind.

  • Market Find: 2023 SQ8 in Sepang Blue, also with Audi exclusive Interior

Market Find: 2023 SQ8 in Sepang Blue, also with Audi exclusive Interior

What: 2023 Audi SQ8 Premium Plus
Color: Sepang Blue Pearl Effect Metallic (sepangblaupearleffekt; metallic; LY5Q; Audi)
    VIN: WA1AWBF11PD034802
    Mileage: 72 miles
    Price: $91,798
    CarFax: Link
    Window Sticker: N/A
Location: H Greg Lux, Pompano Beach, FL
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

Once a production color on a range of Audi models, Sepang Blue Pearl Effect built an appreciable following amongst the Audi owner base when it was more commonly found in the standard color palette for Audi models. In as much, it’s an attractive choice on cars where it isn’t offered… cars like a 2023 SQ8.

And if the story ended here, that’d be enough to grab our attention. Interestingly, the story doesn’t end here. While tastefully unique on the outside, the original client ordering this specification also dove deep into the interior as well. It’s here where most North American market Audi exclusive builds tend not to bother, and in as much it’s here where a car can really set itself apart.

In this case, the buyer went with a unique configuration of the standard black leather, but with bold yellow stitching on most seating surfaces, also adding Alcantara to components like the steering wheel and yellow leather piping to the floor mats and seat belts.

Blue and yellow isn’t the most common color scheme, so you have to wonder? Ukrainian decent? Michigan fan? Who knows.

  • Market Find: 1972 Aston Martin DBS V8 in Hermès Orange

Market Find: 1972 Aston Martin DBS V8 in Hermès Orange

What: 1972 Aston Martin DBS V8
    Color: Hermès Orange (unknown)
    Chassis #: V8/10519/RCA
    Mileage: 72,528 kilometers, 45,066 miles
    Estimated Price: US$130,000 – US$180,000
    CarFax: N/A
    Window Sticker: N/A
Location: Bonhams Les Grandes Marques du Monde à Paris Auction, Paris, France
    Auction listing: Link

    Why we love it:

Spoiler alert. The car you see here has been repainted, but in grand style and a truly unique shade that makes it so very one-of-a-kind that we can’t not report on it. The car you see here was actually delivered new as a right-hand drive coupé painted Cairngorm Brown with an Olive interior – a very subdued British car for a British customer who lived not far from the Aston Martin factory.

After shuffling through a few well-accounted for owners, the car shifted to the ownership of a prominent Emir in 2010 who commissioned a conversion to left-hand drive and a color change inside and out to Hermès orange.

From there it went to its current owner, who had it restored by Le Clos de Calatrava in collaboration with Aston Martin Works UK, completing that job in October 2024. Even still, the unique orange on orange color choice was retained.

The car is now ready for its next owner and will be sold as part of Bonhams’ Les Grandes Marques du Monde à Paris Auction in early February.
