Warwick, UK, 25 June 2025: In a stunning collaboration between legendary automotive design and engineering house CALLUM and renowned bespoke car specialists Wood and Pickett, the Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM has been unveiled as the very first car for international style icon and automotive enthusiast, David Gandy.

Known globally for his impeccable taste and passion for performance and heritage, Gandyโ€™s decision to drive this bespoke creation marks a defining moment in the carโ€™s journey, from concept to road-ready reality. His involvement underscores a shared commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless design.

    A Modern Classic, Reimagined
The Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM is a redefinition of the classic British icon. Built on a fully restored Mk5 Sportspack body shell, it incorporates an entirely bespoke design package, drawing on both Wood and Pickettโ€™s coachbuilding legacy and CALLUMโ€™s contemporary design expertise.

Externally, the car boasts unique front and rear valances, side sills and an updated rear design, not just visually distinctive, but engineered for improved aerodynamics and cooling. The bespoke Anthracite metal finish, created through a proprietary CALLUM process, gives a strikingly modern twist to the Miniโ€™s original charm. Lighting has been completely reimagined with new front and rear housings, while original Wood & Pickett arches lend authenticity.

Inside, the transformation is even more striking. A newly designed dashboard, inspired by Wood and Pickettโ€™s famed โ€œMargraveโ€ interiors, blends retro influence with modern precision. Sumptuous Tan Bridge of Weir leather upholstery adds a warm, luxurious tone to the cabin, honouring British craftmanship at its finest. A unique โ€˜Pianoโ€™ switch pack, finely finished metal bezels, and CALLUM-trimmed bespoke seats elevate the cabinโ€™s aesthetic and tactile experience.

    Engineered for the Enthusiast
Beneath the bonnet, performance meets precision. A newly rebuilt 1310cc Stage 3 road/rally engine delivers a 110 BHP, paired with a reengineered gearbox and re-tuned ECU for responsive power delivery. Highlights include a new performance cylinder head, twin-point injection, and a bespoke twin-exit exhaust system with a distinctive upswept tailpipe design.

Handling has been fine-tuned for modern comfort and control with a road tuned suspension kit, upgraded brakes featuring vented and grooved 8.4โ€ discs, and CALLUM designed 13โ€ alloy wheels developed specifically for the project. Improvements to noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) ensure that luxury meets performance in every mile.

    A Designerโ€™s Legacy
For Ian Callum CBE, design director at CALLUM, the Mini has always held personal and professional meaning.

โ€œThe Mini is one of the most important cars ever created not just for its innovative engineering, but for what it represents culturally as a symbol of British ingenuity and style,โ€ said Callum. โ€œItโ€™s a car that broke the rules and became a global icon. To reimagine it through the lens of CALLUM, with Wood and Pickettโ€™s craftsmanship, has been deeply rewarding.โ€

    A Statement of Personal Style
David Gandy worked directly with the design team to tailor every aspect of his Mini from paint selection to interior trims, making the car as distinctive as his own personal style.

โ€œThe Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM embodies everything I love about automotive craftsmanship, bespoke, attention to detail, and, of course, performance,โ€ said Gandy. โ€œIโ€™m proud to be the first owner of such a remarkable vehicle.โ€

    Limited, Bespoke, British
Each Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM is hand-built in the UK and offered in a limited production run, starting at ยฃ75,000. No two builds will be alike, each customer will collaborate closely with CALLUMโ€™s design team to create a Mini that reflects their individual vision.

As this reimagined icon hits the road, it signals not only a revival of a British icon but the beginning of a new era for custom, coach built motoring.

    Public Debut at Heveningham Concours
The Wood and Pickett Mini by CALLUM will make its first public debut at the prestigious Heveningham Concours, taking place from 27th to 29th June 2025. This exclusive event marks a fitting stage for unveiling a car that blends British heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary design in such a distinctive form.

  • Latest Singer Specification Looks Great in Sempreverde

Latest Singer Specification Looks Great in Sempreverde

It was just last month that Singer pulled the wraps off of its latest Carrera specification, a stunning tribute to the G-body era of the 80s. Now, they’re sharing one of the first builds to this spec. We’re here for it, and we think you will be too.

The car you see here is finished in a military-looking green known as Sempreverde, Italian for “evergreen”. The exact source of the color wasn’t shared, but it’s a handsome darker green that plays to its namesake.

This Carrera also features the unique high performance auxiliary driving lights that pop out of the boot lid much like the headlights on a 928. It’s also got a speed activated rear spoiler, typical of a the 964-based Singers not fitted with whale tails of some sort.

The interior is flat white, featuring carbon fiber seats and raised gear shifter for the ultimate in cool.

Power comes from a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat six. It’s been restored and developed by Singer with engineering work from Cosworth. It features four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders and an electrically powered fan.

  • Totem Automobili Presents “Persephone” GTSuper No. 10

Totem Automobili Presents “Persephone” GTSuper No. 10

For Totem Automobili, the star of the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este weekend was “Persephone”, their latest commission and GTSuper No. 10. That it sat in the garden of Villa Condulmar, a 17th-century Venetian estate located minutes from the firm’s Treviso atelier was also significant as it marked the beginning of a new partnership between the Alfa Romeo remastering company and this beautiful space.

For Totem, Villa Condulmar will play a part as a venue for public and private events. Figure exclusive gatherings reserved for clientele.

AS for โ€œPersephoneโ€, at its heart is a 2.8-liter twin turbo V6 rated at 640 hp sourced from Italtecnica and paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox with gated shifter.

The color is “Verde Pino”, a historic color and favorite of Totem Automobili. The handsome wheels that hark a great era at Alfa Romeo are machined from solid billet and finished in nickel.

Inside, the color orange adorns the nappa leather, while pied de pool fabric seat inserts accent it beautifully. Carbon fiber also takes a prominent place in the cabin, finished in high gloss in all configurable components. Also inside is the latest evolution of they firm’s instrument cluster, introduced in their third ever build though now showing a more intricate designs.

    TOTEM AUTOMOBILI UNVEILS “PERSEPHONE”

    source: Totem Automobili

Totem Automobili is proud to present โ€œPersephoneโ€, GTSuper No. 10 โ€” a creation that embodies the technical refinement, aesthetic purity, and artisanal craftsmanship at the heart of every Totem project. This occasion also marks a significant milestone for the company: the beginning of an official partnership with Villa Condulmer, a magnificent 17th-century Venetian estate located just minutes from our Treviso atelier.

Villa Condulmer will serve as a distinguished venue for both public and private events hosted by Totem. These gatherings, particularly the private ones, will be highly exclusive โ€” reserved for our international clientele seeking a truly immersive Italian experience. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Monti family, proprietors of this remarkable villa, for supporting our mission: to promote and safeguard Italyโ€™s cultural and historical heritage around the world.

โ€œPersephoneโ€ is as unique as the setting in which it was unveiled โ€” a car whose creation demanded exceptional commitment from our entire supply chain, with a final result that reflects the collective excellence of every contributor.

Powering the car is the โ€œGloriaโ€ engine: a 2.8-liter twin-turbo V6 delivering 640 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox featuring an open-gate shifter. The body is finished in a special triple-layer metallic paint, inspired by the legendary โ€œVerde Pinoโ€ โ€” a historic shade that graced some of the most beautiful classic cars ever built.

The interior showcases premium orange nappa leather and hand-crafted pied de poule fabric inserts, produced in Florence on a bespoke basis for each vehicle to match its unique configuration. This particular unit also features the latest version of our instrument cluster, introduced starting from car No. 3, now more intricate and refined than ever before.

Exterior trims and wheels โ€” the latter machined from solid billet locally โ€” are finished in a bespoke Nickel coating. Meanwhile, the carbon fiber used throughout the interior and in all configurable components displays a traditional weave and high-gloss finish, a stylistic homage to the golden age of automotive design that inspired this model.

โ€œPersephoneโ€ is not only a technical and aesthetic milestone, but also a manifesto of our dedication to merging timeless beauty with cutting-edge innovation.

  • Totem Automobili Shows “Persephone” Commission at Villa d’Este

Totem Automobili Shows “Persephone” Commission at Villa d’Este

If you need another reason to add the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este to your bucket list, perhaps these photos of Totem Automobili’s latest GT Super known dubbed “Persephone” will help seal the deal. The illustrious Alfa Romeo remastering firm displayed the car handsomely at Villa d’Este’s Giardino di Fuoriconcorso.

The location was close to the waters of Lake Como, a spot where Totem paired “Persephone” and another commission “Gaia” displayed the firms capabilities, drawing in attendees and press.

For Totem, the displaying of the two cars offered an opportunity to show the spectrum of their capabilities. One car is built as an internal combustion engine, powered by the Italtecnica-sourced twin-turbo V6. Theater is fully electric, for those who prefer an embracing of the future of mobility without losing out on the style that runs through both of them.

Gaia boasts a triple-layer green paint Totem refers to as “Verde EVO”, inspired by the color of premium extra virgin olive oil. Persephone is finished in an updated version of the firm’s Verde Pino, paired with orange interior for a bold contrast.

TOTEM AUTOMOBILI DAZZLES AT GIARDINO DI FUORICONCORSO WITH โ€œPERSEPHONEโ€ AND โ€œGAIAโ€

    source: Totem Automobili

Villa Flori, Como, May 2025 โ€“ In the refined setting of Giardino di Fuoriconcorsoโ€”a rising highlight of the Villa dโ€™Este Concorso dโ€™Eleganza weekendโ€”Totem Automobili proudly debuted its latest creations: the GTSuper โ€œPersephoneโ€ and the GTElectric โ€œGaiaโ€. This dual premiere marks a significant step forward not only for Totemโ€™s design and engineering journey, but also for the growing prestige of this exclusive lakeside event.

Just a few meters from the shimmering waters of Lake Como, โ€œPersephoneโ€ and โ€œGaiaโ€ drew crowds of collectors, enthusiasts, and international press. They embody two distinct yet complementary visions of modern performance: one powered by Totemโ€™s now-celebrated twin-turbo V6 engineered by Italtecnica, the other fully electric, crafted to meet the future of mobility without sacrificing style or soul.

โ€œWe designed this electric car because I donโ€™t like electric carsโ€ says Riccardo Quaggio, Totemโ€™s founder and CEO, with his signature candor and irony. โ€œItโ€™s trueโ€”EVs donโ€™t deliver the raw emotion of an internal combustion engine, which we still proudly build. But at least this one still stirs somethingโ€”because itโ€™s beautiful. Thatโ€™s the point. Sculpting a fully electric car by hand, tailored to each client, is something few in the world can offer with such deep passion. Gaia is proof of that.โ€

Gaia features a refined triple-layer โ€œVerde EVOโ€ paint, inspired by the hue of premium extra virgin olive oilโ€”a nod to nature with a bold aesthetic edge. Persephone, meanwhile, updates the legendary Verde Pino with a modern twist and pairs it with vivid orange interiors that give the car its assertive, unmistakable personality.

Both models showcase a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail typically reserved for the most exotic coach-built cars, while staying true to the retro inspiration that defines the Totem philosophy. โ€œWe improve with every car,โ€ adds Quaggio. โ€œI started this company at twenty-two, and itโ€™s incredible to see how far weโ€™ve come with these two buildsโ€”from the design to the mechanical and dynamic performance. The feedback we received at Villa Flori from peers, clients, media, and enthusiasts really says it all.โ€

Totemโ€™s presence at the Giardino di Fuoriconcorso reaffirms its growing stature in the world of boutique automotive excellence, and highlights the increasingly rich and diverse program of events that now orbit the Villa dโ€™Este weekendโ€”an unmissable celebration of beauty, innovation, and car culture at its finest.

  • Bentley Blower Jnr Enters Production

    Bentley Blower Jnr Enters Production

If there is an upside for petrol enthusiasts in these early stages of the EV era, it must certainly be what appears to be an ongoing trend of marque backed remastering and at times recreating of the classics. The idea of mega expensive, customer bespoke and meticulously built remasters brought about by the likes of Singer and their ilk nowadays isn’t lost on OEM manufactures. From Porsche Classic-built 993 Speedsters to classic Land Rover Discoveries and more, it’s a great time to be in the highly exclusive club of intelligent reuse and reimagining. Take for example the Bentley Blow Jnr.

The firm behind the Blower Jnr is Hedley Studios, though the creation of building an 85% scale recreation of the 1929 Bentley Blower has been done entirely in conjunction with Bentley. Unlike companies like Singer that use an existing homologated chassis and rebuild it, the Blower Jnr is technically a new creation.

Effectively, it’s an electrified and road legal car that captures the spirit of the original Blower Bentley that is itself nearly a century old. So yes, it’s a new thing, and it’s just completed 18 months of on-road testing in order to refine and prove the design. That completed, Bentley has signed off on production of the cars. The first deliveries are expected to begin this summer.

Further details can be found in the original press release and gallery below.

Blower Jnr completes sign-off and enters production

    • Hedley Studiosโ€™ scaled, road-legal recreation of the iconic Bentley Blower enters production
    • Sign-off follows extensive road-testing programme, culminating in 650-mile event on Channel Island of Jersey
    • 40 mph island-wide speed limit and stunning scenery deliver perfect proving ground for Blower Jnrโ€™s charm, drivability and character
    • First customer deliveries expected in late summer

(Crewe and Bicester, 29 May 2025) Following the completion of a joint sign-off event, Hedley Studios has begun production of its first road-legal, driveable piece of automotive artwork, the Bentley Blower Jnr.

Designed and developed in conjunction with Bentley Motors, Blower Jnr is an 85% scale recreation of the 1929 Bentley Blower. This electrified, road legal creation carries the spirit on the original, near-100-year-old legendary Bentley to a whole new generation, and the Blower Jnr has now completed 18 months of on-road testing to refine and prove the design.

The final sign-off took place on the coastal roads and historic lanes of Jersey โ€“ the largest of the Channel Islands and a place steeped in natural beauty. With narrow roads, an island-wide speed limit of 40 mph and a total area of just 45 miles, Jersey was the perfect place for a smaller-scale electric vehicle to complete its development journey, and one where Blower Jnrโ€™s character and charm could be appreciated to the full.

Covering over 650 miles across three days, a select group of representatives from both Hedley Studios and Bentley Motors were joined by international media to evaluate the Bentley Blower Jnrโ€™s full on-road driving potential, set against the stunning backdrops and vistas of the Jersey coastline.

The completion of these test drives marks an important step in the Bentley Blower Jnrโ€™s development, as production of customer models gets underway. Utilising meticulous, hand-crafting techniques, Hedley Studiosโ€™ team of artisans will hand-beat the panels of the Bentley Blower Jnrโ€™s bodywork, while expert engineers assemble the fully-electric 48-volt powertrain.

Only 349 examples of the Bentley Blower Jnr will go into production, with prospective owners able to customise their commission to their own individual style. Hedley Studiosโ€™ team work closely with each client to curate a Blower Jnr that is bespoke to their taste, from specific colour finishes to a choice of racing number.

This personalisation process is further enhanced through the use of the Hedley Studios configurator, in which clients can let their imagination run wild with almost limitless levels of personalisation at their fingertips. A range of curated style packs provide a baseline for Blower Jnr personalisation, making each example a truly unique piece of automotive artwork.

Ben Hedley, CEO and Founder of Hedley Studios, comments:

โ€œHeading into production of the Bentley Blower Jnr marks a seminal moment for our brand, as we bring to life our very first road-legal piece of automotive art. Our team of engineers and craftspeople have worked tirelessly to design and craft the Bentley Blower Jnr, and in close collaboration with clients around the world, they have begun the design process of some wonderfully unique examples of the Bentley Blower Jnr. With only 349 examples of the Bentley Blower Jnr to be built, weโ€™re very excited to embark on this production process and see these pieces of handcrafted art out on the roads. The sign-off process in Jersey was a wonderful sight to see, and navigating the picturesque and undulating roads of the coastline behind the wheel of the Bentley Blower Jnr would have been an enviable experience for those involved.โ€

Weโ€™re anticipating that the first customer deliveries will commence in just a matter of months, and weโ€™re just as excited as our clients are to see them behind the wheel and out on the road.โ€

Mike Sayer, Head of Product Communications and the Bentley Heritage Collection for Bentley Motors, adds:

โ€œFrom the moment that we first took the original 1929 Bentley Blower Team Car #2 to Hedley Studios, we knew this project was going to deliver something truly special. Years later, and with thousands of road miles under the wheels of the development prototypes โ€“ appropriately called EXPs as the first Bentleys were โ€“ weโ€™re ready to put the car into production.โ€

Hedley Studios has reimagined a car that sits at the very heart of Bentleyโ€™s history and heritage, with extraordinary attention to detail and craftsmanship. The Blower Jnr may be smaller in scale, but its presence, performance and sense of occasion invoke the spirit of the original. We canโ€™t wait to see these cars on the road soon, and look forward to taking delivery of the first car to join our Heritage Collection.โ€

    The Bentley Blower Jnr

Blower Jnr is a collaboration between Hedley Studios and Bentleyโ€™s  Heritage Collection. The original Team Car from 1929 โ€“ insured for ยฃ25m โ€“ was used by Hedley Studios to master the design of Blower Jnr, with details recreated at a sizeable 85 per cent scale. The result is a vehicle that will have even experts looking twice โ€“ with the car measuring 3.7 metres long and 1.5 metres wide. Unlike Hedley Studiosโ€™ other products, Blower Jnr is fully road legal and designed specifically to be used on the road and is perhaps the most sophisticated city car ever built.

Crafted by hand to the same standards as any Bentley, and adorned with beautiful details all inspired by the original Team car, Blower Jnr is built around a 48V electric powertrain with a 15 kW (20 bhp) motor, meaning a top speed of 45 mph / 72 km/h in the UK and EU (25 mph / 40 km/h in the USA due to legislation) and an expected range of around 65 miles, with tandem seating for two adults.

Beyond the headline figures, the beauty of Blower Jnr is in the recreation and repurposing of details from the original car. The frame is painted steel, to which an authentic chassis specification is attached. Leaf springs and scaled-down, period-correct friction dampers bring a comfortable ride, while Brembo disc brakes at the front and drums at the rear provide the stopping power. The electric motor is mounted across the rear axle, while the batteries and drive electronics are all housed in a hidden undertray.

The bodywork is crafted in two sections, and while the rear body structure is crafted in carbon fibre rather than being an ash frame, itโ€™s covered in impregnated fabric, just as the original. The bonnet, with its multiple cooling louvres, is hand-crafted in aluminium using traditional techniques and fastened with beautiful leather buckled bonnet straps. The two-person cockpit is in a 1+1 layout, with a central adjustable driving position and the passenger travelling behind in the rear seat. An optional bespoke weekend bag fits behind, in the scaled down and repurposed fuel tank complete with lockable latch.

At the front of the car, the supercharger now houses the charging port that connects the onboard charger to any Type 1 or Type 2 socket, and is surrounded by the famous Bentley mesh grille, in an authentic nickel-plated radiator housing.

At first glance the dashboard looks like a scaled-down replica of the original, with Engine Turned Aluminium forming the dashboard itself. The fuel pressurisation hand pump has been repurposed as the drive mode selector, with a choice of Comfort, Bentley or Sport. Forward, Neutral and Reverse are selected via a lever that looks and feels like the ignition advance control from the original Blower. Other switchgear for the headlights and indicators copies the form and materiality of the magneto switches from the Team Car, while the battery charge gauge recreates the original ammeter.

  • Alpina Founder Reveals Zagato-Designed BMW M4-Based GT at Villa d’Este

Alpina Founder Reveals Zagato-Designed BMW M4-Based GT at Villa d’Este

One of the more fascinating launches during Villa d’Este Concours week is perhaps a name you’ve never heard before. Bovensiepen is the name of the founding family behind legendary BMW tuning haus Alpina, and it seems they’ve paired with Zagato, a legend in its own right for automotive design, to create the tailored BMW M4-based grand touring coupe you see here.

Why isn’t it an Alpina? Good question. BMW and Alpina have enjoyed close ties for years, with BMW of North America having sold Alpina offerings through brand dealerships. In 2022, Alpina was acquired by BMW and brought into the fold. Today, its founder has begun the second act, launching a firm under the family name and working with the Italians to create a coupe known simply as the Bovensiepen Zagato.

The result is a 600 hp highly tailored coupe that almost seems to take on brands like Bentley in its customer commissioned detail work. Think highly limited and personalized specifically for the buyer and you won’t be far off.

It’s also got unique partner-sourced components. The car boasts a bespoke suspension system from Bilstein with three modes – Comfort, Sport and Sport plus. From Akrapoviฤ comes an exotic titanium exhaust.

Interestingly, there’s no BMW roundel logo in site. Though it’s pretty obvious there’s an M4 Coupรฉ in there somewhere, the idea appears to be for this car to stand on its own… not simply a tailored and Zagato-touched M4… though it’s probably that too.

In a lot of ways, the project seems to echo the original Fisker Tremonto. Before Henrik Fisker set off down the EV road, the former Aston Martin design chief built is first cars under the Fisker badge by taking existing BMW 6 Series coupes and adding bespoke bodywork and components. In this case though, the combination of the family behind Alpina selling a GT designed by Zagato makes a more compelling case.

    PRESS RELEASE: BOVENSIEPEN

    [source: Bovensiepen]

The name Bovensiepen is no stranger in the automotive industry, and now it stands for a manufacturer of exceptional automobiles that embody the concept of โ€œfine driving.โ€ The launch of the Bovensiepen brand marks a new era for the company and the focused continuation of the extensive engineering, development and production expertise from Buchloe (Bavaria, Germany).

In the future, Bovensiepen will realize exciting automotive projects that combine precision and harmony in the form of timeless design and outstanding engineering. Each automobile is crafted by experts with decades of experience and boundless passion. They share this dedication with enthusiasts who appreciate and admire these automobiles and all their details.

Our headquarters in Buchloe is the home of our experts and the centre of our passion. From design, development and construction to production by hand, all the threads come together here to create automobiles that are among the best in the world and to make Fine Driving a reality.

The Bovensiepen name is synonymous with successfully pushing boundaries in the automotive world. For the passion to make good things even better. For the combination of timeless design and engineering excellence. For the symbiosis of precision and harmony.

    BOVENSIEPEN ZAGATO โ€“ FINE DRIVING

Gran Turismo โ€“ a unique category of extraordinary automobiles, a way of life. The first model from the Bovensiepen brand is presented in this automotive tradition.

The Bovensiepen Zagato masterfully combines unmistakable Italian design with re-nowned Bavarian engineering. A novelty created with dedication and craftsmanship to excite automotive enthusiasts. A true and extraordinary Gran Turismo that expres-ses freedom and elegance down to the last detail.

The shape of the Bovensiepen Zagato is a harmonious composition of individual design features and bears the unmistakable signature of the traditional Milanese design studio Zagato. All design elements – from the elegant, elongated bonnet and side lines to the almost architectural design of the front and rear – hark back to the tradition of iconic coupรฉs – in a modern, timeless interpretation. A true masterpiece of contemporary coachbuilding.

โ€œIt was a team effort driven by the excitement of the project – the idea of launching the first car of a new luxurious brand – and the fact that we were bringing together the DNA of two familiesโ€ฆ. When you combine two DNAs, the result should be a stronger DNA,โ€ explains Andrea Zagato, third-generation President of Zagato.

The unique Gran Turismo driving experience stems from an unparalleled symbiosis of design and technology. Engineering โ€œMade in Buchloeโ€ begins with the Bovensiepen sports suspension with special Bilstein dampers and sophisticated forged aluminium wheels, and extends to the lightweight exterior body, which is made almost entirely of carbon fibre. A powerful soundscape for pure emotion is delivered by the high-performance titanium exhaust system, developed in collaboration with Akrapoviฤ. All components of this automobile, around 400 precision parts, were developed to bring to life what the name Bovensiepen stands for: Fine Driving.

The power of the Bovensiepen Zagato also comes from within: The 3.0 litre in-line six-cylinder engine generates an output of 449 kW (611 hp) and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.3 seconds the top speed lies beyond the 300 km/h mark.*

Each Bovensiepen Zagato is created and assembled at our manufactory in Buchloe (Bavaria) by experts with decades of experience and a great passion for manual craftsmanship โ€“ each automobile takes over 250 working hours to complete.

โ€œAs two family businesses, we still view the automobile through romantic eyes. Today, many vehicles are highly standardized, and their romance is being lost,โ€ says Andrea Zagato.

The Bovensiepen Zagato will celebrate its debut this weekend at the Fuori Concorso on Lake Como. The perfect backdrop for a true Gran Turismo.

    TIMELESS BEAUTY

The Bovensiepen Zagato is more than just the perfect symbiosis of design and tech-nology. This timeless Gran Turismo embodies the intensive collaboration between โ€œDesign Made in Milanโ€ and โ€œEngineering Made in Buchloeโ€. The result is an automo-bile that is far more than just the sum of its parts. โ€œOur goal is to build automobiles for connoisseurs and enthusiasts who appreciate the perfect symbiosis of design and technology,โ€ Andreas Bovensiepen, CEO Bovensiepen Automobiles.

The shape of the Bovensiepen Zagato is a harmonious composition of individual design features. The genuine beauty lies in the harmonious proportions of the vehicle. โ€œItโ€˜s a kind of mixture of Italian flair, a kind of sexy and soft design, and a German, very solid, almost architectural structureโ€ฆ it is a beautiful blend of these two automotive cultures, I would say,โ€ Norihiko Harada, Zagato Chief Designer.

The elongated side line without a B-pillar and with completely retractable, frameless windows defines the elegant side view. A horizontal design line spans the entire ve-hicle and connects all elements of the exterior. The โ€œDouble Bubbleโ€ curvature in the roof and rear window โ€“ typical of the Zagato Design Studio – make the Bovensiepen Zagato unmistakable from every perspective.

The striking front is defined by a large central air intake with a CNC-milled stainless steel grille and low-set headlights. The two aditional air intakes hint at the high-performance potential of the inline-six-cylinder engine.

The long, low bonnet gives the Bovensiepen Zagato a strong presence. Two precisely defined lines and the large U-shaped air outlet add a highly dynamic character to its appearance.

From the front, the horizontal, wraparound design line continues upwards over the striking contours of the side and the sportily accentuated rear fenders to the integrated rear spoiler lip. The side air vents allow for optimal airflow and emphasize the curved lines of the body. They are also the perfect stage for the Zagato lettering. โ€žโ€ฆ if design doesnโ€˜t take a risk, we cannot impress the people. This is something Andreas Bovensiepen understood immediately. He accepted to take a risk.โ€œ Norihiko Harada, Chief Designer Zagato

The precisely drawn, almost architectural rear end with muscular rear wheel arches, pronounced fins and the striking spoiler lip show the power and dynamics that the Bovensiepen Zagato can unleash. The Bovensiepen lettering and a pronounced rear diffuser around the two twin tailpipes complete the athletic rear end.

The long sloping bonnet, low roofline, and dynamic rear create a smooth, wedge-shaped side profile.

    ENGINEERING โ€žMADE IN BUCHLOEโ€

The Bovensiepen Zagato is exceptional in terms of design and performance. The powerful drivetrain, which delivers impressive driving performance, meets
    the highest of demands.

The 3.0 litre in-line six-cylinder engine generates an output of 449 kW (611 hp) and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The superior power and torque characteristics of the Gran Turismo were refined in countless hours on the engine test bench and over many thousand test kilometres. The Bovensiepen Zagato accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed beyond 300 km/h.*

Specially developed Damptronic dampers from Bilstein help deliver Fine Driving. The Bovensiepen chassis engineers have refined them for that special โ€œGran Turismoโ€ driving experience. The driver can select from three driving modes โ€“ Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus โ€“ offering a range from pronounced comfort to athletic driving dynamics. The Bovensiepen forged wheel in 20โ€œ continues the symbiosis of design and engineering: the ten elongated double spokes create a striking visual depth. Elaborate side recesses in each individual spoke lead to significant weight savings.

A powerful soundscape for pure emotion is delivered by the lightweight titanium exhaust system, developed together with Akrapoviฤ. It reduces the back pressure significantly and with a weight of 22 kg it is around 40 percent lighter compared to conventional systems. The exhaust system ends in two twin tailpipes โ€“ also made of titanium.

    MANUFACTORY

The production time of each Bovensiepen Zagato in the Bovensiepen manufactory extends to beyond 250 working hours. Over 400 individual parts are assembled to the highest precision. This requires absolute experts with decades of experience and a passion for manual craftsmanship. This makes each automobile unique, manufactured entirely according to the customerโ€˜s wishes.

The interior of the Bovensiepen Zagato combines modernity and craftsmanship. The display of the infotainment system is seamlessly integrated into the leather-covered instrument panel, high-quality shift paddles made of milled aluminium, an individual production plate and the hand-stitched Lavalinaยฎ steering wheel complete our definition of Fine Driving. The design of the seats proudly shows GT genes: the seat centre panels with the characteristic lengthwise stripes blend harmoniously with the modern backrests with their stylised bucket seat look.

Every Bovensiepen Zagato can be as unique as its owner. The Bovensiepen manu-factory offers personalization options down to the last detail. This makes every automobile from our manufactory in Buchloe (Bavaria) a truly unique one-off. Every detail tells its own story, and every story begins with the vision of an automobile en-thusiast.

The Bovensiepen Zagato is optionally available with a full Lavalinaยฎ leather interior. An experienced saddler covers nearly every touchpoint in the cabin with this exqui-site material in more than 130 hours of finely honed craftsmanship.

The Lavalinaยฎ colour palette includes 16 standard colours. In addition, any desired colours can be realized via the Bovensiepen Bespoke program. The leather can be combined with Alcantara, which is available in 45 other colours and harmonizes particularly well with Lavalinaยฎ.

    MARKET LAUNCH

Delivery of the first customer vehicles is planned for the end of the 2nd quarter of 2026. Pricing and production numbers for this strictly limited model will be released in the 4th Quarter of 2025.

Color Check: Gunther Werks GW Coupe in Sterling Silver

When it comes to Porsche 911-based remasters, Gunther Werks has built a solid reputation and a specific niche of the last-of-the-air-cooleds 993-generation. Over the years, Gunther Werks has expanded its formula to include more racing-focused cars and Speedsters, but its their core GW specification forms the core.

Getting to the core Gunther Werks formula, it’s hard to argue with the idea of doing a classic and understated silver. Gunther Werks calls this particular version Sterling Silver, and it works well. Stylistically, the understated hue allows all of their incredible detail work to do the talking. In a more literal sense, the audible talking comes from an optimized 4.0-liter normally-aspirated flat six developed by Rothsport Racing.

Color Check: Singer Classic Turbo in Azzurro La Plata

We’re always down for the latest Singer commission around these parts, and the car you see here certainly qualifies. Built to the firm’s Classic Turbo specification, this Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer stylistically builds on the classic G-body 80s 911 yet takes it to a whole other level of cool.

The paint color, a light blue not altogether far from Gulf Blue, is known as Azzurro La Plata. It features ghosted stripes to add to the sporting appeal. Several photos of the car were posted to their Facebook Page.

Inside, the cockpit is primarily onyx leather with Alcantara and houndstooth fabric on select surfaces including lightweight, carbon fiber track seats. Light blue accents continue on the inside, including powder blue seatbelts, lower cabin surfaces and portions of the instrumentation.

In the rear, a harness bar and cross brace includes Singer badge in brass.

It being a Singer, the car is based on a 964 even though it stylistically now resembles a G-body much more closely. It’s powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged intercooled flat six.

  • Twisted Gets in on Baja VW Remaster Action with TBug

Twisted Gets in on Baja VW Remaster Action with TBug

More known for their Land Rover Defender remasters, UK firm Twisted has expanded their scope with the introduction of the T Bug. Why’d they do it? “Because it’s cool.”

    default

Built on a Volkswagen Beetle from the ’60s to the ’80s, Twisted does what the great remasters do by stripping it down, then builds it back. In this case, the chassis is sealed and strengthened, long-travel suspension is fitted… not to mention the iconic Baja bug bodywork.

Interestingly, they keep power on a level consistent with the original Baja Bug – double the original power, yet still “under 80 horses”. However, the driving experience and attention to quality are significantly augmented. The net effect is a markedly higher grade experience that’s still true to what it was.

    About Kamm Manufaktur

    Twitter: @KAMManufacktur Instagram: @KAMManufaktur Facebook: @KAMManufaktur

Founded by Miklรณs Kรกzmรฉr in Budapest, Hungary, KAMM focuses solely on the 912 sports car produced between 1965-1969. Renowned for being the lightest of all the road-going 911/912s, but with a better balance than a typical 911, the 912 may not be an obvious choice for a restomod, but its slim, simple lines, outstanding handling and iconic 4-cylinder engine makes the 912 the perfect choice for a KAMM creation.

The KAMM 912c is an exquisitely engineered, beautifully built, modern take on the 60s sports car icon. In an age where electronics take over many of the driver inputs, the KAMM 912c offers something different in the world of restomods in that it maintains the charm of a 1960s racer, with sensitive updates, instead of trying to completely modernise the 912 driving experience.

KAMM improves on perfection, without compromise, building on existing greatness to create the KAMM 912c. Taking an original 912, KAMM engineers restore every donor car to perfection, providing the perfect basis for a bespoke creation. Steel is replaced with carbon, seamlessly blended without trace, ensuring flawless fit and finish.

KAMM engineers enhance the chassis, brakes suspension, wheels and tyres and replace all original elements with brand new, factory parts including lights, fixings, and rubbers.
