“Monte Carlo Worthy” is maybe the best way ever to describe a pristine vintage luxury car, and that’s precisely how Gallery Aaldering leads in explaining the Bahama Gold example you see here. Why? Well, for starters it spent its last ten years residing in Monte Carlo.

Remember, this is the place where F1 champions valet whatever the hell they want to because they are F1 champions, or cruise the streets of this ultra exclusive town past yachts and casinos. Having the most expensive anything is likely passé, though perhaps so too is going back to Monte Carlo with someone else’s former Range.

So maybe don’t go back to Monte Carlo. Even still, if you’re seeking one of the best known examples of Range Rover’s 2-door early trucks with an incredible specification including manual transmission, we know where you can find one.

The B8.5-generation Audi allroad is from an interesting time at Audi. Sandwitched as it was between the departure of the A4 Avant S line (A4)and predating the arrival of the RS 6 Avant (C8), the A4 allroad represented quite literally the only station wagon for several years. This placed the focus of many enthusiasts on a model that, at least in Europe, would have been rather boring. It doesn’t matter, they were loved and not uncommonly ordered in tailored specification like this Audi exclusive Brilliant Red example.

Nowadays, these cars represent a solid value. As a result, they tend to be hard to find unmodified, low mileage and well kept. This car appears to check all those boxes, with just over 68,000 miles on it and appearing to be unmodified. For someone seeking a budget Avant, you may want to contact Audi Salt Lake City as soon as possible..

This very unique Ferrari Testarossa is 1 of 1, converted to Targa specification by Ernst Berg Systems (EBS) in 1985. It’s also the only left man drive Testarossa in yellow for a 1985 European spec with the “flying mirror”.

There aren’t a lot of details in the private party listing linked above, though we found the car also offered for sale in last May’s Bonhams Miami Auction with a detailed listing. That can be found HERE.

This rare colored Dino 308 GT4 was owned by the same family for over three decades until it was sold to the current owner in 2020. The car has been repainted in its original color, Blu Azorro Metallizzato, the same color as used in the brochure (see photo).

A notable detail about the 308 GT4. It is the only factory Ferrari design from Bertone, a Gandini original. Though these don’t carry the premium of earlier Pininfarina Dinos, the 308 GT4 represents one of the genuine bargains in the Ferrari collector world.

  • Color Check: BMW Individual M5 in Daytona Violet Metallic

Color Check: BMW Individual M5 in Daytona Violet Metallic

One of our favorite brands is BMW, not just because they build ultimate driving machines, but because BMW M and their social media accounts have the generous habit of sharing excellent photography of their latest models in BMW Individual specifications. Latest amongst them we found is this BMW M5 (type G90) posted to Facebook.

Alas, it’s not embeddable, so we are including the photos in this story and a link can be found HERE.

AS for BMW Individual Daytona Violet Metallic (daytonaviolett; metallic; 283; BMW), it needs no introduction. It’s been a longtime favorite in the BMW Individual catalogue and for good reason. It also looks great on the G90.

  • Color Check: Audi exclusive RS 3 Sportback in Daytona Grey Polar Matte Effect

Color Check: Audi exclusive RS 3 Sportback in Daytona Grey Polar Matte Effect

It’s fair to say that Audi’s Daytona Grey is relatively ubiquitous. The shade has been offered on so many models, usually bearing “RS” nomenclature… but not always. It’s handsome, but commonality has a way of eroding a paint color’s appeal when considering a tailored build. We’d guess Daytona is fairly on the wane at Audi exclusive, but Daytona Grey Matte is something altogether different.

Why’s Daytona Grey Matte so appealing? Well, for starters it’s a metallic that gives it some extra punch. More importantly, while dark, it’s enough of a shade lighter than black that it pairs so effectively with gloss black optics.

Murdering out a Daytona Grey Matte car is subtle and yet so appealing, making the gloss black details pop, while the matte finish brings into focus every character line of the car. On the most recent RS 3 body, this adds a surprising level of richness.

This is also an RS 3 Sportback. We don’t get this car in North America, and that’s a bit of a shame. On the A3 family, the RS 3 isn’t exactly a Sportback like say an A5 or an A7. It’s instead something like an Avant, but not as long. Think of it like hatchback with a low roofline and you get the picture. To us, this is a most modern interpretation of the Lancia Delta Integrale package… and we’re good with that.

Check out more on this car via the post Audi Sport made on Facebook HERE.

The aggressive lines of a 718 Cayman GT4 RS Weissach Package take on an extra level of sophistication when you pair a more subtle Paint to Sample shade like Porsche Oak Green Metallic. Imported in 2020, this left hand drive original Defender 90 is a desirable specification though not entirely original. It’s been modified to look like early HUE 166 model including Grasmere Green paint, beige seats, white roof, color matched steel wheels and “HUE 166” badging.

Also desirable, it’s go the more powerful 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline four cylinder with give-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. Other amenities include dual inward facing rear seats, locking center differential, hard top, 16-inch steel wheels, “Puma” hood, front disc brakes and cabin heater.

The listing has a lot of close-up detail shots that we didn’t include here but are worth checking out if you are thinking about bidding. Most Land Rovers this age are not pristine, and this one shows some wear and overspray. Even still, it’s still quite charming in a very classic Land Rover specification and so we’re including it here.

We’ve seen the same story play out over and over, and we love it when it happens. Enthusiast working at dealership sees a special build car come into inventory and gets the word out to brand aficionados often before the dealership even has photos of the car on their website.

That’s the case with this RS Q8 performance in Deep Green Pearl over Cognac leather that’s turned up at Paul Miller Audi. Albert Chua at the dealership shared these photos to Audi Club North America’s user group on Facebook HERE.

The car can be found Paul Miller Audi’s website of course, but the photos are configurator renderings and at Audi those don’t include the color. Even if they did, a render is never as good as real photos, so special thanks to Albert Chua for sharing them.

Should you ring up the dealer, ask for Albert and let him know we sent you.

Update: We also found it on Audi Club’s Classifieds Group as well, this time posted by Seamus Twohig also at Paul Miller with even more photos. If a dealership with one enthusiast member of the sales team is great, a dealership with two is even better. That second listing with more photos can be found HERE.

Market Find: First 911 S/T We Found for Sale. Successful Circumnavigation of the Lease?

    What: 2024 Porsche 911 S/T
Color: Shade Green Metallic (shadegreenmetallic-UNI; M6F; Porsche)
    VIN:  WP0AF2A97RS273031
    Mileage: 66 Miles
    Price: $621,445
    CarFax: N/A
    Window Sticker: N/A
    Location: Langley, BC
    Listing: Porsche Centre Langley

We haven’t had a Porsche 911 S/T on the site yet. The reason why is simple. Getting an allotment was nigh impossible unless you were a Porsche highly regular, and even those were leased to all American buyers for a year assuring they wouldn’t end up in flip mode. The same was the case for Canada, or so we thought.

Other than the one sold recently in a charity auction benefitting Los Angeles fire victims we haven’t seen these on the open market just yet. However, this Shade Green Metallic example for sale in British Columbia appears to be available and we found it on the Dupont Registry. Has it been a year since these things started being delivered?

Shade Green Metallic is a 911 color. Yet can be ordered on a standard run-of-the-mill 911, though a quick check of the 911 S/T configurator in the U.S. shows no Shade Green availability. Paint to Sample isn’t mentioned in the ad, so perhaps it was available though Canada’s own configurator tool for the S/T isn’t active at this time.

Regardless, Shade Green is paired here with Classic Cognac / Black leather seat that’s part of the Heritage Interior Design package. It’s also got the Heritage Design Package 60 Years 911, including Chrono Package, Front Axle Lift System, Ambient Lighting Plus, Porsche ParkAssist Rear, Bose Surround Sound System, Traffic Sign Recognition and LED-Matrix Design Headlights in Black with PDLS+ and much more, this 911 S/T ensures exceptional driving comfort and precision.
