    Why we love it:

If much of the current Porsche market is the safe alternative short-term investment as it may seem, this Paint to Sample Fjord Green 911 Carrera GTS might be considered speculative at best. Allow us to explain- a claimed $136,000 in options were applied to this GTS, just $8,000 shy of matching of the car’s $144,000 base price, and then it simply was not driven. Two years and 922 miles later, this GTS is now for sale with a price that’s only polite to share when directly asked for, although we’d bet it’s near the $257,699 it fetched on Bring a Trailer back in August. So what does $136,000 of options get you? Well, apart from nearly all the menu items, you get the very rare Fjord Green paint, CXX-granted door cards with Agave Green uppers stitched in Mojave Beige and lowers in Cognac Leather, as well as Cognac leather on the seats, shift boot, storage bin, knee pads, and lower center console. Oh, and the Agave/Cognac theme is applied to the air vents as well.

  • Introducing the Singer Guavate Commission

    Introducing the Singer Guavate Commission

Singer Vehicle Design has teased its latest classic build with red and green theme just in time for the holidays. And while it’s probably safe to say there wasn’t an intentional yule season theme in the imagining of this commissioned 911, the specification still assures every day is a holiday when you have the keys to this car.

Here’s what we know about the specification. The exterior is Paint-to-Sample Plantain Green. Inside, Burgundy leather covers most surfaces, accented with woven leather seat centers that create a unique tartan pattern.

As is typical with most Singer Classic specification cars, this reimagined 964 features a 4.0-liter flat six, with power sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Singer shared the car HERE on Facebook, and unfortunately embed protections are on so you’ll need to follow the link to find the post directly.

    Why we love it:
In 2014, Porsche celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the 911 with a special “50th Anniversary Edition” model that utilized the then-wider body of the 991. 1963 were built to this specification, most easily recognizable for their Fuchs style wheels, houndstooth seats, and only available in either darker Graphite Grey (graphitgrau; non-metallic UNI; C2C2; Porsche) or lighter Geyser Grey. And while all of those had the base 911 drivetrain, Porsche also specially built a Graphite Grey Turbo S 50th Anniversary Edition for none other than Jerry Seinfeld. That car is currently up for sale on Bring a Trailer.

In total, Seinfeld’s 911 50th Anniversary specification applied to this Turbo S added approximately $58,000 in options to the standard Turbo S. In addition to the aforementioned paint, this included things like Sport Plus front seats with houndstooth inserts, PDK gearbox, Sport Chrono Package, 20-inch Sport Classic alloy wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCBs), an electronic limited-slip differential in the rear, LED headlights, ParkAsssist, Burmeister audio system, and automatic climate control.

Consistent with the 911 50th Anniversary Edition, it also got 50th Anniversary badging and clear taillights. Interestingly, the underside of the trunk is also signed by Tony Hatter, then Porsche Head of Design.

It is believed to be the only factory built 2014 911 50th Anniversary Turbo S. Combine that with the fame of the original owner of this single-owner 911 and you have a very special car for any serious Porsche collector.

    Why we love it:

Say you’ve been wanting a Singer, have got the cash but not the time to wait your turn in the ever-lengthening cue. If that describes your particular plight, then you may want to head on over to Broad Arrow and hit up their Private Sales inventory where the “Mame Commission” has popped up for sale.

In a day of wild colored tailored specs being… well, not common, but also not rare, choosing a subtle neutral silver and then packing some unexpected color on the inside is a beautiful display of if-you-know-you-know taste that embraces the understated. That’s the mix on “Mame”, with an exterior of Fluid Silver (a $42,550 option) and an interior of Olive Green Suede. It’s just so good.

Singer only ever built 75 examples of the DLS and availability is typically zero. That the “Mame Commission” with just 182 miles on it is available, much less in a fantastic specification, should definitely be noted. To quote Ferris Bueller, “It’s so choice. If you have the means (we)’d highly suggest it.”

    Why we love it:

To put it simply, Porsche’s Paint to Sample Ipanema Blue Metallic is a color you just don’t see very often- if ever. The 911 Targa 4S represents an incredibly attractive package offering the best of both open and closed top worlds, although we acknowledge the neither coupe nor cab body style isn’t for everyone. This particular Tailored Driver does tug the heartstrings quite hard with it’s heritage-inspired take on a modern design, pairing Carrera Exclusive wheels, 930 package seats, and the 50’s era flair of Ipanema Blue Metallic.

Location: Amelia Island, FL at The Amelia Concours 2025, Broad Arrow Auction
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

Hit up sites like Porsche Club North America’s Rennbow paint resource and you’ll see Pearl White Metallic was a color that began in the 1980s on cars like the 928 and 944, though Broad Arrow also shares in this car’s Lot description an even more exotic Porsche history for this metallic shade of white. You see, it was also sprayed onto more spotlighted debuts such as the 956 sports racing prototype, the 959 “Gruppe B” concept that previewed the 959, the 911 Speedster Studie, and even the 924 Carrera prototype, all in this distinctive paint. Not surprisingly given the popular use by Porsche at auto shows, Pearl White Metallic was most definitely available in the brand’s Paint to Sample program.

Back in 1992, Porsche only produced 233 of the early 3.3-liter 911 Turbo (type 964) for the U.S. market. This particular car was the final one produced for North America that year, and delivered to Porsche Clearwater (then Bert Smith International). Its specification went well beyond Paint to Sample Pearl White Metallic and Black full leather with Can-Can Red piping to include almost 20 X-Code options and addition Z-Orders from Porsche Exclusive. Additions to the build included Dark Rootwood trim, additional leather on interior components including headliner, rare leather center console and remote remote CD-1 CD changer.

In addition to the factory specification, this car also is currently fitted with Rest of World front bumper lights, Turbo 3.6 “Speedline for Porsche” wheels, and period TechArt accessories.

Interestingly, the order process was retained in the car’s history file, and reveals that the owner even attempted to order his 911 Turbo 3.3 with 959-style fenders though unfortunately that never happened. Broad Arrow goes on to detail the ownership of the car in their lot description.

“According to the clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, the car was registered to its first long-term caretaker in July 1992 based in Florida who would retain it for the next 24 years until its sale in 2016 with a scant 712 miles on its VDO odometer. In 2019, it was acquired by the current owner, a noted collector of highly original, low mileage 1980s and ’90s sports cars. With years of proper preservation, the Turbo’s Pearlescent White Metallic finish remains “show car” radiant while its full Black leather interior with its multitude of Exclusive options, including a rarely seen leather headliner, remains as expected in pristine condition. Most recently, the car visited European Performance in Raleigh, North Carolina for a new fuel pressure accumulator and AC system recharge in 2022 and later an inspection and oil filter service in October 2024. Perhaps, as expected, this final 1992 911 Turbo retains its window sticker, manuals, toolkit, air pump, spare, and correspondence between Porsche and the original long-term owner. This impressive level of documentation is, just like its exceptionally low mileage, a superb indication of the careful preservation afforded to this highly collectible, special-occasion supercar.”

Aimé Leon Dore‘s custom Porsche 993 Turbo Pays Homage to New York

The New York-based fashion and lifestyle brand Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) unveils the bespoke Porsche 993 Turbo – the fifth classic model restored in its long-standing partnership with Porsche.

    [source: Porsche AG]

Renowned for its unparalleled engineering and timeless design, the Porsche 993 Turbo is hailed as one of the greatest sports cars in history. It combines the final iteration of the air-cooled engines with a powerful twin-turbo powertrain that set a new standard for performance, handling, and durability. Aimé Leon Dore’s restoration goes beyond aesthetics, delivering both a visual and technical revival of the celebrated classic.

During an intensive development process, for a sportier look, elements from the 993 Turbo S were incorporated, including the iconic Turbo S spoiler, which provides both a visual enhancement and increased downforce. Additionally, the 993 Turbo S Exhaust and Front Splitter were fitted to improve aerodynamics, elevating the car’s performance and aggressive front-end design.

The 18-inch Porsche Turbo Twist rims were finished in Mulberry Green to match the exterior, highlighted with a gold accent encircling the rims. Michelin, Porsche’s trusted tire partner known for outfitting the seven-time title-winning Porsche 963, provided 18″ Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires specifically for the 993 Turbo.

It’s great to see the latest installment of our partnership with Aimé Leon Dore”, says Deniz Keskin, Director Brand Management and Partnerships at Porsche AG. “The 993 is an iconic member of the 911 family and dream car for so many enthusiasts all around the world. ALD’s take is a wonderful way of contributing to that enduring legacy.”

Aimé Leon Dore’s refined design language extends to the interior, featuring dark brown leather, lambswool accents, and hardback seats. The seat backrests are painted in Mulberry Green, echoing the car’s exterior. Dark brown carpets, floor mats, seats, and instrument cluster were selected for a cohesive, monochromatic look. The steering wheel and headrests display a custom Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche logo, highlighting the long-standing partnership between the two brands. A custom brass Unisphere gear knob brings a distinctive and personal touch to the interior. The door sills also feature the inscription “A team from outta Queens with the American dream,” a nod to the brand’s roots and the inspiration behind Aimé Leon Dore’s brand.

Exclusive capsule collection with Porsche Design

Inspired by the exclusive Mulberry Green Porsche 993 Turbo, the capsule collection features a range of apparel and accessories, including the long-awaited Leather Club Jacket.

“It has been a refreshing experience to work on this capsule with the ALD team”, says Nicola Ader, Director Marketing & PR Porsche Lifestyle Group. “The result is the perfect match for the car and a great way for both communities around the world to become part of this project.”

The capsule collection will be available on November 22nd both in-store and online at Aimé Leon Dore.

For the first time, Porsche Design of America will also offer a select range from the limited-edition capsule, available exclusively on the West Coast at the Porsche Design Store in Beverly Hills.

    Why we love it:

We’re always fans of Paint to Sample Porsche 911s of every ilk, but the older you go then the rarer it is to find Paint to Sample (PTS) and that makes them extra special. PTS wasn’t unheard of in the 993 era by any stretch, but it’s not like today when it seems like every other GT car allotment turns into a commissioned build by a rich client. That’s the context that we share with you this 1997 911 Carrera S in Ocean Jade Green Metallic (ozeanjademetallic; metallic uni; L25K; Porsche) over on Bring a Trailer.

If you’re a fan of light metallic greens, this is a great specification 993 coupe. That era’s Carrera S and Carrera 4S got all of the bodywork of the Turbo less the whale tail, which made for an excellent appearance. Now throw on a host of optional equipment and you have a spectacular build.

    • L25k — Ocean Jade Metallic paint
    • C02 — Version for USA
    • XSA — Painted sports seat backrest

This car was formerly owned by the late Rudy Mancinas, a notable 993 enthusiast and collector whose cars were sold off after his passing. It was acquired by Rudy in 2014 where it’s presumed many of the upgrades such as the OEM chin spoiler, Turbo S front brake ducts with driving lights, three-spoke 996 airbag steering wheel, Porsche Classic radio, colored seatbelts, brake calipers finished in Speed Yellow and wheel centers painted in body color were applied.

  • Manthey Kit for Porsche 911 – Motorsport Technology for Maximum Performance on Track

Manthey Kit for Porsche 911 – Motorsport Technology for Maximum Performance on Track

Few, if any, other cars bring more pure motorsport technology to the road than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The new Manthey Kit can further enhance the on-track performance of this top-of-the-range sports car through improved aerodynamic efficiency, modified suspension and optimised braking components.

Porsche is offering a Manthey Kit for the current 911 GT3 RS (992) for even higher performance on track. The kit provides significantly increased contact pressure and, as a result, higher cornering speeds. The suspension has been specially adapted for driving on the racetrack, while the brakes are optimised for the particularly high demands of track-day driving. The new Manthey Kit was developed as part of a close collaboration between the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach and the Manthey engineers in Meuspath. These track-focused components will be distributed via Porsche Centres.

More than a tonne of downforce at 285 km/h

The extensive changes to the aerodynamic components make the Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS immediately recognisable. The spoiler lip with its new wing profile has been significantly enlarged and is supported by reinforcing elements made of carbon fibre. Together with redesigned wheel arch Gurney flaps and two dive planes on each side of the front bumper, the spoiler lip increases downforce on the front axle. The rear window is replaced by a 25-per-cent lighter carbon fibre panel on which a carbon fibre shark fin is mounted. The fin was derived from the World Sportscar Championship-winning 963 and is designed to increase cornering stability. In conjunction with six additional roof fins, it also diverts the warm output air from the front radiator outwards, thus ensuring that cooler intake air is drawn in at the rear, even under extreme operating conditions.

The split carbon fibre DRS wing element – in conjunction with larger, redesigned end plates – increases downforce on the rear axle. The significantly widened rear diffuser with longer carbon fibre fins also increases downforce without increasing air resistance. The carbon fibre ‘aerodisc’ wheel covers reduce air resistance and make the perfect addition to the combination of aerodynamic components, which work seamlessly to optimise air flow and maximise overall efficiency. Overall, the downforce has been increased significantly, without increasing drag. At 285 km/h, the 911 GT3 RS with Manthey Kit produces more than 1,000 kg of downforce. This enables higher speeds on fast and medium-speed corners and maximises vehicle stability.

    Semi-active coilover suspension

The spring rates of the semi-active coilover suspension have been adjusted for the higher downforce figures. The spring rates were increased by 30 per cent on the front axle and by 15 per cent on the rear. Four wheel- and three body-acceleration sensors – along with a newly developed control unit – ensure fully automatic damper tuning that is extremely fast and even more precise than before. The new shock absorbers operate with two separate valves for the compression and rebound stages and are independently controlled. This ensures precise adjustment for changing driving situations and road conditions, which maximises stability on the racetrack. Depending on the driving mode (Normal, Sport, Track), different sets of parameters are available for different basic damper characteristics. In Track mode, the basic setup can also be manually adjusted to your personal preferences using the rotary controls on the steering wheel.

Racing brake pads specially optimised for track days

The braking components of the Manthey Kit are tailored to the requirements of driving on the racetrack. The steel-sheathed brake lines provide an even more direct pedal feel and a faster response time. Optional racing brake pads are available for cars with the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB). These pads have been specially developed for track-day use and reduce fading while also increasing responsiveness and control precision. The brake pads are characterised by consistent performance over a wide temperature range and very good wear resistance for both the pads themselves as well as the discs.

    Extensive accessories enhance individuality

Customers wishing to add more visual touches can customise their 911 GT3 RS with particularly sporty accessories. Illuminated door sill guards in carbon fibre with Manthey lettering in red and white, LED door projectors with white Manthey lettering, and decals in various colours on the carbon ‘aerodiscs’ emphasise the distinct character of the 911 GT3 RS. In addition, the Manthey lettering can be applied to the car doors in either Neodyme, white or black. A towing eye is available for when driving on the racetrack, and can be used on the front or rear. It is available in red, black or yellow and can be attached to either end using the appropriate threaded hole. It must be removed if the car is to be used on public roads.

    Significantly improved performance on track

“With the Manthey Kit, the 911 GT3 RS has improved significantly on the racetrack, especially on medium-speed corners,” says Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister. “The car dives, pitches and rolls even less, offering a much more stable aerodynamic platform. The high contact pressure therefore remains very constant under all driving conditions.”

“Over a period of two years, we worked together with Porsche engineers on the new Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS and tested it over several thousand kilometres on European racetracks and on the Nürburgring Nordschleife,” says Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH. “Our data promises a significant improvement in lap times compared to the standard 911 GT3 RS. So far, weather conditions have prevented us from achieving an official lap time on the Nordschleife. We want to make up for this at the next possible opportunity.”

The Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS can be ordered now. It will be available in EU markets from January 2025 and outside the EU from March 2025. The manufacturer’s warranty for the 911 GT3 RS remains unaffected.
