Audi exclusive Velvet Violet Pearl RS 7 Sportback performance

The headquarters of Audi’s in-house tailor Audi exclusive is effectively the Audi Forum Neckarsulm. On the second floor of the brand’s customer welcome center at their second largest corporate manufacturing facility is a showroom featuring some seriously creative builds. As a result, these sorts of cars tend to be highlighted by Audi Deutschland’s Facebook presence, cars like this RS 7 Sportback performance painted in Velvet Violet Pearl Effect (samtviolettperleffekt; pearl effect UNI; 092 QB7; Audi).

Also known as “Velvet Purple” this hue is a popular choice amongst those seeking Audi exclusive paint in order to make their car a little more unique. That it’s on Audi exclusive’s main palette also means it’s more affordable than say painting the car the same purple hue as your yacht or alma mater.

In this case, the car in question also has some unique interior details. These include an individually specced combination of black and diamond silver leather and stitching.

Market Find: Audi exclusive Goodwood Green S4 Avant

An Audi exclusive 2004 Audi S4 Avant is a rare find. You see the exclusive program from Audi wasn’t as popular in the early 2000s as it is today. So finding a custom build from that era is truly exclusive. Here we have a Goodwood Green Pearl Effect (goodwoodgrün; pearl effect UNI; Z6X; Audi) over “Panda” two-tone interior B6 S4 Avant from Lafayette, IN. The car has about 144,000 miles and the seller states: “The timing chains were done around 130k by the previous owner. Mechanically in good condition runs and drives with no issue, cosmetically could use some love like any 20-year-old car. Originally a West Coast car, no rust, mostly just rock chips, and no bubbling or peeling paint.

The only modification is lowered on lowering springs and B7 S4 wheels, also done by the previous owner. Selling it because this is my second wagon and I just don’t drive it enough and don’t have the time to make it return to its original glory.”

In the original post, the seller also attached a video of a cold start to showcase there is no chain rattle and the engine has a clean bill of health. Below are more photos and the original post can be found on Facebook Marketplace.

Market Find: Audi exclusive Goodwood Green R8 V10

When an Audi exclusive Goodwood Green Pearl Effect (Z6X) R8 enters the market up during a certain Festival of Speed that goes by a similar name, we’d call it fate. But when that very car also happens to feature a Palomino Brown interior, we’ll call it dangerous.

Now for sale at the aptly named Sweet Cars in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, we can think of much worse ways to spend the $169,995 asking price.

One of the most popular purple paint codes from Audi exclusive must certainly be Merlin Purple Pearl Effect (merlin purple; pearl effect; 4B / LZ3W / Z3W; Audi). Though it’s rarely ever been offered as a standard color, its presence amongst Audi exclusive cars in the market is relatively common thanks to the great level of appreciation it holds over fans of the four ring brand.

Audi RS 6 GT Makes Appearance on West Coast of USA

The limited-edition Audi RS 6 Avant GT2 represents the pinnacle of its model series. With its exclusive exterior and interior details, the special edition model pays homage to the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO racing car from 1989. The RS 6 Avant GT in Nardo Grey appears in the impressive surroundings of the United States West Coast.

With typical Audi performance thanks to quattro all-wheel drive, a five-cylinder engine, and sensational appearance, the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO conquered the racetracks of North America at the end of the 1980s. Today, the victorious vehicle inspires the new top model of another icon from Audi’s portfolio: the Audi RS 6 Avant GT2. New photos show the special model, limited to 660 cars, against the backdrop of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and the unmistakable nature of the surrounding landscape.

As the second-largest car market in the world, the USA is an important growth market for Audi. The company wants to strengthen its brand in North America and sees the region as one of three pillars worldwide. Ten new market launches will follow by 2026 as part of this strategy. Now in its fourth generation, the Audi RS 6 Avant3 enjoys cult status in the USA.

The following picture gallery offers a selection of new images of the Audi RS 6 Avant GT2 in Nardo Grey and Arkona White, together with the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO.

  • Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 Years

Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 Years

    • A tribute to the RS4* Sport: Anniversary edition with exclusive design
    • Greater power output: V6 biturbo with 346 kW (470 PS) for the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 and the Audi RS 5Sportback performance edition2
    • Limited edition: Only 250 units per model available in Europe

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the RS 4, Audi is launching a special model, the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1. As the performance flagship of the A4 series, the model boasts impressive driving dynamics. With exclusive interior and exterior details and the iconic Imola Yellow color, it is reminiscent of the Audi RS4* Sport. The Audi RS 5 Sportback performance edition2 is also receiving a 15 kW (20 PS) power upgrade. Both models are limited to 250 units each.

In the 1990s, Audi established the idea of the sporty wagon with the Audi Avant RS2 and Audi S6 plus. However, the first RS model from quattro GmbH (now Audi Sport GmbH) was the 1999 B5-generation RS4* Avant. Compared to the Audi S4, it broke onto the scene with a widened body and a 2.7-liter biturbo six-cylinder engine developed in collaboration with Cosworth, which at the time had an impressive output of 280 kW (380 PS). The sportiest version of the first RS 4‑generation hit the market in 2001 with the RS4* Sport. Its features included an even lower suspension, bucket seats, sport exhaust, and a suede steering wheel. The RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 echoes the memorable design of this vehicle and is itself the sportiest version of the current B9 series.

Engine: 15 kW (20 PS) output increase

Advances in the engine, suspension, and wheels deliver impressive performance. The V6 biturbo in the new RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 has an output of 346 kW (470 PS) and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. That is an increase of 15 kW (20 PS) compared to the RS 4 Avant3

The pinnacle of the series accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the Audi RS 4 Avant3. The vehicle has a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) and the standard RS ceramic brake system handles negative acceleration. The RS sport exhaust system plus with tailpipes in matte black generates an intense sound pattern.

    Suspension: Sharpened for optimal dynamics

The Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 comes standard with the RS sport suspension pro, a manually adjustable coilover suspension that ensures a perfect combination of dynamics and comfort. This gives the anniversary model a 10-millimeter lower ride height than the RS 4 Avant3. Furthermore, customers can manually lower the ride height by an additional 10 millimeters for an overall ride height that is 20 millimeters lower than the series model. The vehicle also comes with the quattro sport differential, which ensures greater agility and more rearward bias for increased driving fun, especially in “dynamic” driving mode. The updated software in the transmission control unit makes for faster shifting times and a noticeably increased spread between the various driving modes.

Exclusively for the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1, the negative camber on the front axle was increased to two degrees and stiffer control arms were installed. This results in improved grip and better handling for faster cornering speeds. A firmly fixed subframe on the rear axle provides more precise suspension feedback and better overall performance. This is further enhanced by the improved Torsen differential.

Rims and tires: Top performance for all kinds of use

To put all that power on the road, the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 comes standard with the Pirelli P Zero Corsa high-performance tires designed for the road and the racetrack. The tires are mounted on machined 20” alloy wheels in Palladium matte. The forged wheels known from the RS 4 Avant3 outfitted with the competition package, are weight-optimized and have been visually enhanced by intensive milling. In addition, they have a modified offset from ET 22 to ET 18 to underline the sportiness.

Customers also receive a kit composed of a second set of wheels, the Pirelli sensorized P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires and Pirelli Track Adrenaline system from their Audi partner. The tires are specifically designed for the racetrack and come on exclusive 20” alloy wheels in black matt.

Due to their specific rubber compound and asymmetrical tread, the Pirelli sensorized P Zero Trofeo RS performance tires offer exceptional grip in dry conditions, thus increasing stability and lateral grip. The exclusive Track Adrenaline system features sophisticated sensors in the tires providing the driver with real-time information about tire pressure and temperature, a high-performance control unit and a dedicated phone app, supporting Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Through Pirelli Track Adrenaline, the customer will experience real-time information and recommended actions for optimal tire management on the racetrack.

One more highlight: In addition to the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires and the Pirelli Track Adrenaline System, customers also receive a pair of gloves for use on the racetrack. Made by Alpinestars, they were specially designed for the special edition and, like it, feature yellow accents.

Design: A tribute to the RS 4* Sport (B5)

To commemorate the color of the RS4* Sport, today’s edition model also comes in Imola Yellow. Nardo Grey and Mythos Black are also available as exterior colors.

A wide range of exclusive design features make the edition model truly special. For example, the trims on the side windows come in glossy black. For the first time, the edition features a black inlay in the rear lights. The Audi rings and lettering also come in gloss black, and the
Matrix LED headlights feature darkened bezels specific to the RS family. The roof rails have been removed to give the vehicle a flatter, sportier silhouette.

Standard equipment includes tinted sun protection glazing for the rear door and side windows. A unique highlight: “RS 4 edition 25 years” lettering is engraved in the windows between the C- and D-pillars. The appearance package Carbon matte was designed exclusively for this edition. It features front blades, side flaps, and sill extensions, as well as the diffuser clip and the wing mirror housings in Carbon matte.

The interior, with its yellow decorative stitching, is reminiscent of the black/yellow leather Alcantara combination from the 2001 RS4* Sport. For the first time, the floor mats have an RS 4 logo, and the traditionally red Audi Sport rhombus and black RS lettering are now also yellow in the edition model. The steering wheel rim, the leather armrests on the doors, the center console in dark black Alcantara, and the gear gaiter all feature stitching in the same color. The RS bucket seats with honeycomb stitching and the carbon backrest come with an impressive deep black leather/Dinamica combination with contrasting yellow stitching. Directly below the headrest is RS 4 lettering in the same color. The logos on the entry sills and the RS projection from the entrance LEDs are white.

Matte lettering on the center console indicates each individual car’s sequential number, from 1 to 250. Customers who purchase an RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 can select a white background for the tachometer and speedometer via the MMI – a tribute to the 1994 Audi Avant RS2, where the analog dials initially came in white. Launch Control, which fully exploits the acceleration potential of the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1, signals the ideal moment to accelerate off the line with its traffic light icons.

    Exclusive chronograph: Edition to edition

Concurrently with the launch of the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1, Audi collection is introducing the Chronograph RS 4 Avant edition 25 years. The watch mirrors numerous details from the vehicle. For example, it has a carbon dial and yellow details, such as the RS 4 logo, the central stopwatch second hand, and the contrast stitching in the leather strap. Like the special model, the chronograph is also limited to 250 units.

Most powerful Audi RS 5: performance edition2 with 346 kW (470 PS)

The RS 5 is also receiving a power upgrade: The V6 biturbo in the new Audi RS 5 Sportback performance edition2 has an output of 346 kW (470 PS) and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. That is an increase of 15 kW (20 PS) compared with the RS 5Sportback4. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, which is an improvement of 0.2 seconds compared to the RS 5 Sportback4. Its top speed is 300 km/h (186 mph). The Audi RS 5 Sportback performance edition2 also comes standard with the RS sport suspension pro with dynamic steering and an improved Torsen differential.

    Production, market launch, and pricing

Produced in cooperation with Audi exclusive, the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 rolls off the line in Ingolstadt alongside the A4, S4, and RS 4. This integration of the limited special edition into regular production emphasizes the flexibility of the production site.

The Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 and the Audi RS 5 Sportback performance edition2 are available to order starting June 2024. The Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years1 starts at 142,905 euros; the Audi RS 5 Sportback performance edition2 starts at 128,420 euros.

    * For the first RS 4 model in the B5 series (1999 to 2001), “RS4” was written without a space. This changed with the RS 6 in the C5 series in 2002.

RESTON, VA – Today, Audi of America celebrates three generations of iconic design with the 2023 Audi TT Roadster Final edition. Finished in an Audi exclusive shade of green – Goodwood Green pearl effect (goodwoodgrün; pearl effect UNI; Z6X; Audi), the TT Roadster Final edition includes unique elements including a modern interpretation of the original TT’s baseball stitch seats. Only 50 units are available for the U.S. market.

TT Final edition celebrates the original Audi design icon
The TT Final edition features unique design elements that celebrate the heritage of the Audi TT and embody the model’s reputation for transcendent design.

The TT Final edition presents an exclusive list of equipment not available on other Roadster models, including:

    • Audi exclusive Goodwood Green pearl effect
    • Audi exclusive Palomino Brown stitching
    • Audi exclusive floor mats
    • Audi magnetic ride
    • Extended leather package in seat color
    • Gray convertible top
    • 20×9-inch 10-Y-spoke design forged wheels
    • Carbon fiber inlays
    • S line exterior

    Unique design elements
The TT Final edition is available only as a Roadster and comes finished in Audi exclusive Goodwood Green pearl effect paint, which was offered as a series production color for the first generation TT Roadster. Platinum gray matte exterior bumper trim and side trim elements are integrated with the S line exterior, which is offered for the first time on the third generation TT Roadster, and comes equipped without S line badging for increased exclusivity. Complementing the gray accents of the S line exterior is a gray convertible top. The gray color soft-top was only previously used on the 2019 TT Roadster 20thAnniversary edition, and features an electrohydraulic drive system that can raise and lower the roof in just 10 seconds while the vehicle is driving at speeds of up to 31 mph.

Inside, the TT Final edition is finished in Palomino Brown leather, which nods to the first generation’s iconic baseball stitch leather. When paired with the Audi exclusive Goodwood Green exterior, it creates a timeless combination and is a tribute to the first generation TT Roadster. Furthermore, the TT Final edition comes standard with an extended leather package, which finishes the door armrests and center console in the same Palomino Brown leather and stitching, as well as black leather covering the airbag cap and instrument cluster hood. Audi exclusive Palomino Brown stitching was added to the steering wheel and gear selector boot, and the floor mats are trimmed with Palomino Brown leather piping and stitching to complete the look of the interior.

The TT Roadster’s S sport seats are also equipped with neck-level heating to keep you warm on chilly days with the top down and include built-in seatbelt microphones for optimizing Bluetooth and voice recognition operation. Finally, Carbon fiber inlays adorn the interior surfaces, underlining the sporty character of the TT Roadster Final edition.

    Legendary TT performance
The TT Roadster Final edition comes standard with 20×9-inch 10-Y-spoke design forged wheels, wrapped with 255/30 R20 92Y XL summer tires, borrowed from the sporty TTS. Also taking a cue from the TTS is the Audi magnetic ride suspension system, which adapts the damping forces depending on the driving situation for increased driving dynamics, as well as provides a lower center of gravity with its 10mm reduction in ride height compared to the standard suspension.

The TT Roadster features a 2.0-liter four cylinder turbocharged engine with 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque that comes mated to a 7-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. The TT Roadster can sprint from 0-60 mph in as little as 5.5 seconds.

It is all in the name
The model name “TT” is reminiscent of the legendary Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man – one of the oldest motorsports events in the world where Auto Union brands, NSU and DKW, celebrated great successes with their motorcycles. NSU would later use the TT nomenclature to commemorate the brand’s historic race championship on its sporty small car – the TT Prinz.

In 1998, Audi debuted its TT Coupe to the world – and followed with a Roadster model just one year later. The Bauhaus inspired design challenged conventional ideas of Audi design, while the Audi TT’s name itself was a deliberate departure from the brand’s usual nomenclature to underscore the novelty of the model line.

    A fond farewell
Over the years, the TT model line often served as the technology leader for the brand, launching several iconic design and technology firsts including – the electronically deployable rear spoiler, Audi virtual cockpit, and the first Audi with available OLED taillights.

The Audi TT closes production after the 2023 model, ending a chapter of iconic design for the brand with four rings.

    On sale now
The Audi TT Roadster Final edition is on sale now for the U.S. market with an MSRP of $67,800 plus $1,095 destination charge.

HERNDON, VA – Today, Audi of America announces a limited offering of 50 special units of the 2022 Audi TT RS Heritage Edition that combines the power of the emotive Audi five-cylinder engine heritage along with the storied paint colors that once adorned the Audi Ur-quattro. While still available outside of the U.S., the 2022 Audi TT RS Heritage Edition signals the appropriate farewell to the remarkable high-performance coupe following the 2022 model year. The TT and TTS models will continue to be available in international markets and in the U.S. market.

Five heritage color combinations celebrate the legendary five-cylinder engine
For the 2022 model year, a limited number of just 50 highly collectible TT RS models will be available with the Heritage Edition nomenclature that blends five different exterior paints of the past that celebrate the heritage of the Audi Ur-quattro. The legendary Ur-quattro was powered by the storied Audi five-cylinder engine of its time with the modern version supporting the high performance Audi TT RS today. The limited TT RS Heritage Edition is available in five different color combinations, listed below in the five-cylinder firing order, and is limited to only 10 units of each.

    1. Alpine White (alpinweiß; non-metallic UNI; L90E; Audi) with Ocean Blue leather and Diamond Silver stitch
    2. Helios Blue metallic (heliosblaumetallic; metallic UNI; LA5Y; Audi) Diamond Silver leather and Ocean Blue stitch
    4. Stone Gray metallic (steingraumetallic; metallic UNI; LY7U; Audi) with Crimson Red leather and Jet Gray stitch
    5. Tizian Red metallic (tizianrotmetallic; metallic UNI; LB3V; Audi) with Havanna Brown leather and Jet Gray stitch
    3. Malachite Green metallic (malachitgrünmetallic; metallic UNI; LY6A; Audi) with Cognac Brown leather and Black stitch

The interior leather and contrast stitching combinations are leveraged from the current Audi exclusive portfolio of upholstery selections, and include several first-time color combinations for the U.S. market. To further underline the exclusivity of the limited edition model, the TT RS Heritage Edition exhibits an understated, yet distinctive etch of “HERITAGE EDITION” script followed by the firing order of the five-cylinder engine “1-2-4-5-3”, underlined by a “quattro” script in the rear quarter glass on the right side of each car.

Additionally, the TT RS Heritage Edition presents an exclusive list of standard equipment:

    • 20” 5-arm cutter design wheels in bi-color anthracite finish
    • Audi exclusive etching in rear quarter glass
    • 174 mph top speed limiter
    • Alcantara covered steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker in leather color
    • Alcantara covered shift lever
    • Alu-optic exterior elements including mirror housings
    • OLED taillights
    • RS logo floor mats with contrast stitching
    • Sport exhaust with black tips
    • Electric spoiler / rear wing delete

Hear that heritage sound? It’s legendary performance.
The five-cylinder engine has deep historical roots in Audi’s DNA, and is a fundmental pillar of the emotional connection to the Audi Sport brand. The engine has achieved countless victories in motorsports from courses in rally around the world to the tarmac in the IMSA GTO and at the Nuerburgring in the legendary 24-hour race, the 5 cylinder has prevailed. It even earned the  “International Engine of the Year Award” nine times in a row since 2010. Yet – it is the unique and distinctive sound of the five-cylinder engine that has captured the emotion of enthusiasts. Due to the odd number of cylinders, and more specifically, the 1-2-4-5-3 firing order, the Audi five-cylinder engine’s sound is unmistakable and presents a symphonic rhythm that is accompanied by deep tone characteristics.

Besides its visibility in motorsports, the legendary engine harkens back to the Ur-quattro coupe from the 1980s, and has been a part of just two U.S. market Audi products over the last few years – the Audi TT RS Coupe and RS 3 Sedan. The engine remains one of brand’s more powerful engines with 394 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque that brings the TT RS Coupe from 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

The return of the five-cylinder. A social network comeback
Until 2012, the five-cylinder engine remained absent from the Audi portfolio for nearly 30 years. In 2009, the first Audi TT RS made its global debut in the world markets, and was only a dream to drive on the roads stateside, until Audi of America took a stance to get the car to the U.S. In 2011, Audi of America would exhibit a signed petition on Facebook to bring the first generation TT RS to the U.S. market – the petition resulted in an astounding 12,000 signatures in just one month.

After the success of the social media campaign, Audi of America brought the product in limited production run for just two model years, 2012-2013. In both years, Audi of America offered a total of approximately 1,200 highly collectible TT RS models properly outfitted exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, which became the final manual transmission offer in any Audi RS- model, globally.

    Fond farewell
While 2022 is the last model year for the TT RS in the U.S., the model will live on in other international markets for some time. The 2022 Audi TT RS Heritage Edition and the 2022 Audi TT RS model are expected to go on sale in the U.S. toward the beginning of 2022. The TT RS celebrated its 10 year anniversary since its introduction as a 2012 model year in the US market.

The limited edition model, no doubt to become a sought after model for enthusiasts and collectors alike, celebrates the victory, performance, and expansive history of the legendary five-cylinder engine for the Audi brand which will continue to be available once the all-new RS 3 goes on sale next summer in the U.S.
