What: 2022 Audi SQ7 Color: Audi exclusive Oak Green Metallic(oakgrünperleffekt; metallic uni; Q82; Audi) VIN: WA1VWBF77ND006196 Mileage: 47,295 miles Price: $79,800 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Audi of Richfield, MN Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
At first, our minds played tricks on us. Audi of Richfield, Minnesota bills this Tailored Driver as “District Green Metallic”, and we’ll admit it had us briefly fooled. District is much darker, but in some lights it can pop so we assumed this was more a case of poor lighting and editing as opposed to mistaken identity. It made quite a bit of sense then, when friend of the site Topher actually confirmed this SQ7 as Oak Green. Oak is a longtime favorite and a frequent flyer around here, so we’ll let the images speak for themselves rather than to wax poetic.
What: 2023 Audi SQ8 Premium Plus Color: Sepang Blue Pearl Effect Metallic (sepangblaupearleffekt; metallic; LY5Q; Audi) VIN: WA1AWBF11PD034802 Mileage: 72 miles Price: $91,798 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: H Greg Lux, Pompano Beach, FL Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
Once a production color on a range of Audi models, Sepang Blue Pearl Effect built an appreciable following amongst the Audi owner base when it was more commonly found in the standard color palette for Audi models. In as much, it’s an attractive choice on cars where it isn’t offered… cars like a 2023 SQ8.
And if the story ended here, that’d be enough to grab our attention. Interestingly, the story doesn’t end here. While tastefully unique on the outside, the original client ordering this specification also dove deep into the interior as well. It’s here where most North American market Audi exclusive builds tend not to bother, and in as much it’s here where a car can really set itself apart.
In this case, the buyer went with a unique configuration of the standard black leather, but with bold yellow stitching on most seating surfaces, also adding Alcantara to components like the steering wheel and yellow leather piping to the floor mats and seat belts.
Blue and yellow isn’t the most common color scheme, so you have to wonder? Ukrainian decent? Michigan fan? Who knows.
What: 2022 Audi RS Q8 Color: Audi Glacier White (Gletscherweiß; pearl effect; LS9R/2Y; Audi) VIN: WU1ARBF19ND010955 Mileage: 17,606 miles Price: $99,900 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: Pictured below Location: Marino Performance Motors, West Palm Beach, FL Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
Sure, we love a good exterior but as they say- it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Audi’s Glacier White paint is augmented by the frankly stunning Audi exclusive Ocean Blue leather interior on this Tailored Driver, resulting in a fairly stealth OEM build if not for the copper Avant Garde wheels. Aftermarket carbon fiber bits are found throughout the exterior which certainly enhance the sportiness of this RS Q8, but frankly we’d be tempted to put it back stock. In our opinion, letting the Glacier White and Ocean Blue combo stand on its own is more than enough to stand out.
What: 2021 Audi Q3 Color: Audi exclusive Merlin Purple(merlin purple; pearl effect; 4B / LZ3W / Z3W; Audi) VIN: WA1EECF31M1132074 Mileage: 60,090 miles Price: $25,191 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Huffines Chevrolet, Plano, TX Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
The world of Tailored Driver never ceases to amaze. Just two weeks ago we featured a 2020 Audi Q3 in Audi exclusive Merlin Purple, and we waxed poetic about how uncommon it is to see a Q3 in a custom-order hue. Guess we’re eating crow here, as another Q3 in the very same Merlin Purple has been spotted in Texas. One model year newer, 15,000 fewer miles, unmodified, but same color. Being one year and two oil changes fresher, the price is also a bit higher at $25k. Still a deal in our eyes, and still likely to be the only one you’ll see on the road. Until, of course, another one pops up and we feature it here on Tailored Driver.
What: 2021 Audi R8 Color: Audi exclusive Arrow Grey Pearl(arrowgrau; pearl effect; LZ7W; Audi) VIN: WUABAAFX1M7900910 Mileage: 8,082 miles Price: $164,970 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: Pictured below Location: Audi Naples, FL Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
The Audi R8 has been heralded as an everyday supercar since inception, and having spent quite a bit of time living with both generations, we’d have to agree. Admittedly a bit flashier choice than say, a 911, this particular R8 is still what we consider a fairly understated spec. Finished in Audi exclusive Arrow Grey, which as we’ve noted is the same code (LZ7W) as Aviator Grey, and without the fixed rear spoiler featured on the V10 plus variant, it’s the build of a connoisseur. Add to it the contrasting Yellow stitched leather and its a compelling package for those who want to stand out in all the right ways.
What: 1994 Audi S2 Avant Color:Nogaro Blue(nogaroblau; pearl effect UNI; Z5M; Audi) VIN: Unknown Mileage: 78,000 km / 48,467 miles Price at Time of this Writing: €35,000 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Private Seller, Wünschendorf, Germany Listing:Link
Why we love mention it:
Wait, it’s a low mileage Nogaro Blue S2 Avant and it’s an “Acquired Taste” car? What gives. Okay, yes, it’s perfect spec color choice and modifications that are there appear to be tasteful, but if our translation tool is reading that ad correctly, it’s a color change to Nogaro Blue from the original color listed as Burnt Orange for which the seller states and Apple translated “according to Audi only three vehicles in the color were delivered”.
We’re not entirely sure what “Burnt Orange” is. We’ll keep looking, though it’s listed in English so we’re not translating there. Perhaps they mean Audi’s Glut Orange (a.k.a. Solar Orange) where “glut” translates from German to “embers”. Even still, the rarity of it is kind of less impactful when the car has received a color change. It makes you wonder why they didn’t change the color on a more common specimen, but who knows.
Another interesting note about the color, we don’t think Audi was producing Glut Orange at that point, while Audi exclusive builds were largely limited at the time to factory specials or “Lifestyle Colors” that we’ve covered on this site before. If so, that color was likely Inka Yellow Pearl Effect and we’ve seen that on an RS2 from the time period. It is indeed very rare.
Worth noting, the seller also states that the engine bay still needs addressing regarding the color change, though no photos of that are provided. We also used AI tools to clean up some of the photos, specifically distracting elements in the background. In each of the photos we edited, the only change made to the car was to fix a bent registration plate. However, please use the original photos as the final reference as we’re just passing along this car’s availability.
So, if we’re translating this listing accurately, technically this is a factory tailored car that was resprayed to a totally different factory tailor color. You don’t see that often. And though it may be a color change car, we suspect it’s also about as affordable as you’ll find a turbocharged Nogaro Blue Audi B4 Avant. RS2s, even in rough shape, always seem to be above €50,000 nowadays. This one looks well kept, low mileage and a bargain way to get an RS2 without stepping up to an RS2.
This is one of our Euro market finds, so the usual caveats apply for our primarily North American readership. For Europe and other markets, we focus on cars older than 25 years, meaning a relatively easy import into the USA. This is often done by working with firms such as our friends at Orchid Euro, you can have the car purchased, transported to port, shipped to America and cleared through customs for clients seeking this sort of service.
What: 2021 Audi RS 7 sportback Color: Audi exclusive Balloon White Pearl(Pearl effect; 224.009; Lamborghini) VIN: WUAPCBF27MN903610 Mileage: 67,954 miles Price: $87,500 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: West State Motorsport, Federal Way, WA Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
We’ve always loved the ‘LEGO’ nature of Volkswagen Group vehicles, which has allowed for some wildly inventive and impactful OEM+ upgrades on platform share vehicles over the years. With a catalog of hits as deep as theirs, it can also extend to colors as well, which is exactly what we’re presenting in this Tailored Driver. Lamborghini’s Balloon White is used as a subtle differentiator on this RS 7, further bolstered by a vibrant Audi exclusive red (exact shade undetermined) extended leather found within. Tasteful modifications are featured throughout, making this Tailored Driver the ultimate expression of the very concept this site was founded on.
What: 1994 Audi S2 Avant Color: Onyx Green Metallic (onyxgrün; metallic UNI; LD6V; Porsche) Chassis Number: N/A Mileage: 284,000 km, 176,469 miles Price at Time of this Writing: €30,500 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Private Seller, Kronstorf, Austria Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
Here’s an interesting specimen that popped up on the European market recently – an Audi S2 in the ’80s era Porsche 924 color Onyx Green Metallic. We’ve never seen an Audi S2 in this color before and the listing doesn’t state that it’s a respray, so we’re guessing it’s a very early example of Audi exclusive paint. In this period, custom paint did happen on these cars though it’s more common (yet still uncommon) on the hotter RS2.
What’s an S2? Though they never came to America, Audi continued installing its now 20-valve turbocharged I-5 in its B3 and B4-era cars, beginning with the B3-based S2 Coupe and then later the wagon (a.k.a. Avant) and much lower production sedan body styles. Though the Porsche-built and tuned RS2 gets more love from the automotive community, Audi connoisseurs often prefer the more subtle look of the S2. Now, throw on some rare-at-the-time custom factory paint and you have a winner.
This car is modified in some respects, and it’s also high mileage. From our perspective, that makes it a great candidate for a daily or weekend driver and less attractive as a museum piece bound to tucked away untouched as part of a collection.
As S2s go, it may be a bit on the high side. Even still, it’s probably half of what the equivalent RS2 will cost, which still makes it a bargain. If its condition is as good as presented and it is actually factory paint in a Porsche color, we’d also argued it’s priced appropriately.

What: 2016 Audi RS 7 Color: Audi exclusive Nogaro Blue (nogaroblau; pearl effect UNI; Z5M; Audi) VIN: WUAW2AFC7GN901572 Mileage: 28,311 miles Price at Time of this Writing: $59,990 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: Pictured below Location: MDK International, Los Angeles, CA Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
When it rains, it pours. Just a few days ago, we featured a different Audi exclusive Nogaro Blue RS 7, and here we have another. Albeit not a Performance model like our prior post, this RS 7 packs plenty of performance courtesy of the deep aftermarket support that brands like Audi benefit from. All told, this RS 7 is said to have about 800 horsepower, which is certainly more than enough to do just about anything- legal or not. Other highlights include HRE Wheels, an H&R lowering module, software from APR, and full paint protection film. So whether it’s this particular RS 7 or the stock example featured previously, a Tailored RS 7 in Nogaro has never been more attainable.
What: 2022 Audi RS 5 sportback Color: Audi exclusive Suzuka Grey Pearl Effect (suzukagrau; pearl effect; LY7F / M1 ; Audi) VIN: WUAAWCF5XNA901159 Mileage: 22,421 miles Price at Time of this Writing: $65,999 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Audi San Diego, CA Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
Within the Tailored Driver spectrum, it’s difficult to get more subtle than Audi’s Suzuka Grey. Pearl off-white in the right light and simply basic white in others, the color blends into the parking lot masses more than you’d expect. In fact, it’s so subtle that it’s nearly impossible to accurately capture in photos, making it somewhat of a hard sell when time comes to spend $3,500 on Tailored paint through Audi exclusive. Fortunately for the original Tailor of this RS 5 sportback, California has the right lighting conditions about two-thirds of the year, making the selection quite an astute one.
