What: 2018 Audi RS 3 Color: Audi exclusive Nogaro Blue (nogaroblau; pearl effect UNI; Z5M; Audi) VIN: Unknown Mileage: 79,655 miles Price: $62,500 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Duluth, MN Listing:Facebook Marketplace
When launched, it wasn’t hard to draw parallels between the then-new Audi RS 3 sedan and the tuner’s darling B5 generation S4. Apart from physical size, it had great aftermarket potential, solid interior quality, and was understated enough that it wouldn’t cause a scene in the lot of Whole Foods. Taking that thought one step further was the original Tailor of this RS 3, who opted for Audi exclusive Nogaro Blue paint. We think it looks incredible here, but we’d be lying if we said that was the most exciting bit of this find. That comes in the form of a LOT of modifications from well known vendors that add up to a claimed 960 horsepower at the wheels, with the right ECU map selected and octane used.
What: 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Color: Coppa Florio Blue (coppaflorioblau; non-metallic UNI; 360; Porsche) VIN: WP0AF2A92RS273308 Mileage: 22 miles Price Estimate: $568,950 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: See Gallery Location: Marshall Goldman, Beverly Hills, CA Listing:Link
Here’s a deep cut and tasteful spec 911 GT3 RS with plenty of Sonderwunsch touches and virtually no miles in case you wanted to skip the game of getting an allotment and waiting on your own build. If we were going to skip such a line and able to pay the premium, this car certainly qualifies as short list material.
Coppa Florio is also known as Polar Blue. Though close to Gulf Blue, it’s not the same thing. The hue is slightly different, but more importantly this color is exceedingly rare versus Gulf Blue that remains one of the most popular PTS blues because of its Gulf Racing heritage tie.
Coppa Florio was a 911/912 color from the late 1970s. The wheels of this Weissach Package build are color-matched in the same Coppa Florio hue. More uniquely, and incredibly well matched, the standard Weissach Package carbon has been tinted blue in most excellent effect – a line item that is highly uncommon and cost $28,140 alone. Add to that carbon ceramic brakes, LED Matrix headlights, Exclusive Design taillights, front axle lift, deviated stitching blue, additional leather Race-Tex… the list goes on and on.

It doesn’t happen often- I can count the number times on one hand- but there are moments in the Tailored Driver journey where I wonder to myself, “Did I black out and somehow don’t remember ordering this?” Of course it’s not the case for reasons related to both consumption and available funds, but damn if this isn’t one of those moments. Paint to Sample Deep Sea Blue over Ascot Brown buckets and a 6 speed manual, paired with gold wheels and the only modification being a shift knob made from Beech Wood. Ten out of ten, zero edits, walk-off home run- however you choose to phrase it, I present to you, Tailored Driver faithful, absolute perfection. If you have the means and are the fortunate one to pick this 718 Cayman GT4 up, please call me if you ever get bored with it.
What: 2025 Audi RS 6 Avant performance Color:Cumulus Blue(cumulusblau; non-metallic; LX5A / U4; Audi)) Chassis #: WUA1DBF29SN903575 Mileage: 7,012 miles Price: $159,000 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: BMW of Barrington, Barrington, IL Link:Link
Though it’s certainly close in specification to the car we featured back in January at Audi Frederick in Maryland, these cars are not the same. That one was new, and this one is just barely used. This one also has grey brake calipers, Alcantara on the steering wheel and shift knob, and what looks like perhaps an aftermarket matte carbon fiber rear upper spoiler.
It’s a handsome spec. Audi exclusive Cumulus Blue won’t sear your eyes out like some in-your-face colors, but it’s very light robin’s egg style blue is highly unique and draws attention just the same. Paired with Audi’s Valcona Leather and blue stitching with blue-flecked carbon fiber, the car is incredibly tasteful.
What: 2016 BMW M3 Sedan Color: BMW Individual Long Beach Blue Metallic (metallic UNI; C16/5; BMW) VIN: WBS8M9C50G5E68760 Mileage: 72,500 miles Price: $51,500 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Irwin, PA Listing:Autotrader.com
I’ll level with you- Long Beach Blue is not the first color that comes to mind when I think BMW Individual, but maybe it should be. Lifted from the first generation M2 among others, Long Beach looks absolutely stunning on this M3 sedan. One of a claimed 3 in this color, this Tailored Driver features Competition pack wheels, a carbon roof, and Silverstone interior, as well as a 7 speed DCT. Having covered 72,000 miles without any claimed modifications (although we can see some aero has been added), this is a very interesting proposition for the right buyer who’s looking to enter the world of Tailored.
What: 2023 Porsche Macan GTS Color: Porsche Paint to Sample Maritime Blue(maritimblau; non-metallic UNI; 5MB; Porsche) VIN: WP1AF2A59PLB57316 Mileage: 18,419 miles Price: $87,489 CarFax: Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Lehi, UT Listing:Porsche Lehi
While it’s not the first Maritime Macan GTS we’ve featured, there’s just something about pairing this classic Porsche blue with the brand’s volume leader. This particular example is newer, has fewer miles, and has more desirable options- which is to say it’s also more expensive. At $87k it may not fit into the ‘budget’ category, but for practical performance that can be used year round in all climates we aren’t sure you can do much better.
What: 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Color: Porsche Paint to Sample Maritime Blue(maritimblau; non-metallic UNI; 5MB; Porsche) VIN: WP0AB2A98BS721097 Mileage: 33,391 miles Price: $169,995 CarFax: Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Ryan Friedman Motorcars, Glen Cove, NY Listing:Link
From our perspective, Paint to Sample examples of cars like this 997.2-era Porsche 911 are some of the hardest to find. Paint to Sample services being chosen for a car wasn’t nearly as common in this era, making them so much rarer and hard to find than modern Porsche models.
This particular car is a phenomenal spec. Painted the 964-era Carrera Cup-originating Maritime Blue is already a great choice, though quite obscure on a Carrera 4S. Inside, the spec continues with additional leather, red stitching and more.
We’re always fans of the selection at Ryan Friedman Motorcars in Glen Cove, NY and car such as this one are exemplary of why we’re so quick to express our fandom.
What: 2023 BMW i4 M50 Gran Coupe Color: BMW Individual Maritime Blue(maritimblau; non-metallic UNI; P7P; BMW) VIN: WBY33AW06PFP94302 Mileage: 11,600 miles Price at Time of this Writing: $26,666 CarFax:Link Location: Utica, NY Auction listing:Cars and Bids
Regardless of where your allegiance lies when it comes to mobility- electric, combustion, hybrid, or maybe a little of all the above- we think this Tailored Driver shows that with the right options anything can be exciting. BMW’s version of Maritime Blue is used brilliantly to spice up this i4 M50 Gran Coupe, and it’s currently for sale on Cars and Bids. It’s a welcomed change from your standard greyscale electric, set off nicely with H&R suspension and 21″ aftermarket wheels. Is this enough to make you consider a Driver outside of your comfort zone? What: 2019 Aston Martin Vantage Color: Q by Aston Martin Zaffre Blue Metallic(metallic UNI; AM6030; Aston Martin) VIN: SCFSMGAW5KGN01180 Mileage: 22,622 miles Price at Time of this Writing: $96,500 CarFax:Link Location: Federal Way, WA Auction listing:West State Motorsport
We’ll be the first to admit it- of all the Tailors featured in our regular rotation, Q by Aston Martin generally isn’t one of them- and that’s a shame. Aston is, after all, a legendary brand that makes a stunning car which also happens to depreciate like a rock. This particular example, finished in the absolutely stunning Zaffre Blue Metallic is just $96,500. Sure it’s 6 years old, sure it’s done 22,622 wonderful miles, but we’re talking M3 money here for something that’s sure to turn more heads than a BMW sedan ever could. With a clean CarFax and the much, much more reliable AMG V8 under hood, and an asking price that wouldn’t begin to touch a Paint to Sample 911 of similar vintage, this Aston is well worth a good hard look.
What: 2022 Audi A6 allroad Color: Audi exclusive Nogaro Blue(nogaroblau; pearl effect UNI; Z5M; Audi) VIN: WAU92BF28NN053445 Mileage: 42,177 miles Price: $53,989 CarFax: Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Smart Motors Toyota, Madison, WI Listing: Link
If you’re an Audi enthusiast, there’s a lot to love about the A6 allroad we’ve found within the inventory of a Wisconsin Toyota dealership. For those who don’t know, we’ll run down the can’t miss calls to Audi history.
First up is the Audi exclusive Nogaro Blue paint. First appearing in the Audi RS2 era as RS Blue, Nogaro has become synonymous with performance Audi models and specifically performance wagons. In the C8 era as is this A6 allroad, Nogaro Blue was painted on the highly sought-after RS 6 Avant RS Tribute Edition and then blocked from purchase for any other RS 6s until last year… at least in the USA. The color remained open in other markets including Europe and Canada. Even still, the exclusivity adds to the desirability of a Nogaro Blue Audi wagon like this allroad.
Now we’ll go deeper into tailored Audi lore. Back in 2002 during the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, Audi produced a limited run of ten A6 allroads (then simply known as “allroad”) for the use of the German Ski Federation whom Audi AG sponsored. Once the olympics ended, the athletes went home and the allroads were circulated out into American Audi dealerships where they remain highly desirable to enthusiasts in the know.
Those so-called “Olympic allroads” weren’t Nogaro Blue, but Sprint Blue had been introduced as the then replacement to Nogaro Blue. A bold blue of its own, the color was more metallic and slightly more green than Nogaro Blue, but they were very close… so close that this car definitely seems to hark the 2002 Olympic allroads.
There’s one other thing worth calling out there, and that is the Sarder Brown interior. This is a standard interior, but obscure in that it’s only available on the A6 allroad and not the RS 6 or other A6 models. It’s also a relatively low install rate on an already relatively rare car. We can’t say it would be our first choice on a bold color such as Nogaro Blue, but we don’t hate it.
