Westchester, PA’s Sky Motorcars is one of those interesting independent used car dealerships focusing on premium luxury cars, made even more interesting by their ability to consistently show cars in their inventory that are so low mileage as to be virtually new. Such is the case for this 2025 BMW M3 Competition xDrive sedan. It’s got under 1,000 miles on it.

If you’re looking to have your Tailored Driver featured as a Market Find, a sure-fire way to do so is to paint it some variant of Green, and pair that with either Tan or Brown seats. British Racing is this Tailored Driver’s shade of green, and Tarfuto it’s Brown- never has a more safe bet been placed. And while the G80 M3 might not be everyone’s cup of tea, we think we can all agree this spec does the divisive design a ton of favors.

    Why we love it:

For E36 aficionados, what you’re looking at here may be one of the ultimate models – the European market only BMW M3 GT built exclusively in British Racing Green during the 1995 model year. The car was actually a homologation special, built to qualify the M3 for use in the FIA GT race series. Built only in coupé form, the M3 GT was powered by BMW’s S50B30 inline six tuned to 295 hp and sent power to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual. Production was limited to 356 units.

Other special equipment includes aluminum doors, special finish on the wheels, motorsport badges in various places, larger lip spoiler, larger adjustable trunk spoiler, sport steering wheel, black Alcantara interior with Mexico Green leather seat centers and red flecked carbon fiber.

At the time of writing, this car is still well south of the six figures where the M3 GTs usually price in. This car does show wear, including chips and scratches on the exterior, with more wear on the inside. How that affects its results in comparison to the $105,738 average we’re seeing at time of writing on Classic.com remains to be seen.

Given this car is on Cars & Bids, it has the advantage that Doug Demuro had a chance to review this specific car. Watch it in the video embedded here in this story.

    Why we love it:

While not often thought as a Heritage color for BMW, British Racing Green had a fling with the brand in the ’90s, appearing on the E36 M3 GT and Z3 models. Nearly 30 years later, the color still looks the business on this M4 helping it to stand out in a subtle way. We also love that this M4 has been treated to a host of Dinan goodies (Coil Overs, Sway Bars and Intake), none of which fiddle with the ECU tune. On the inside, this Tailored Driver is optioned with extended leather and DCT transmission, making it a nice, comfortable place for commuting. We think it’s a great package.

Color Chart: 1969 Jaguar Standard Colors and Trim

Continuing in our series of cataloguing factory colors is this vintage Jaguar Color Guide dated April 1969. While these would have been standard colors, it’s fascinating to look back on both what was offered and perhaps have vintage colors such as these resurrected for modern specifications.

    The book reads:

The color finishes illustrated and combinations described are those which will be available from April 1969. Jaguar Cars Limited reserve the right to alter or withdraw any color finish without notice. The patters are intended to serve primarily as a guide and whilst they approximate closely to the actual colors used, they should not be utilized for the purpose of paint matching or for any other purpose where complete accuracy is essential.

Paint colors Include: Cream, Warwick Grey, Ascot Fawn (maybe the most Jaguar color name ever), Willow Green, Dark Blue, Black, Sable, Light Blue, Regency Red, British Racing Green, Pale Primrose and Signal Red.

Market Find: 2022 BMW Individual X5 M in British Racing Green

If you’re looking for a faster or more affordable way into the driver’s seat of a tailored car, buying it built can be a solid strategy. No, it’s not to your exact spec and you don’t get your Instagrammable moment of a sales guy pulling a fake auto show cover off of the car in a brightly lit delivery room, but you do get to skip the line for an allotment and the wait for production… not to mention enjoy a bit of depreciation. This can be especially rewarding when snagging a late model and barely broken in example from a previous owner with impeccable taste. Take for example this 2022 BMW X5 M (VIN# 5YMJU0C07N9M27108).

This BMW Individual touched X5 M is an AutoTrader Private Seller Exchange listing. In the notes, the current owner states, “I personally specc’d this BMW Individual in British Racing Green and waited over 6 months for it to arrive.”

That owner then logged just under 20,000 miles (19,778 to be exact) before putting the car up for sale.

They also shared that the paint wasn’t the only option. This X5 M also got Merino full leather in Taruma Brown, red M-compound brake calipers, carbon fiber interior trim, shadow line lights, shadow line extended trim and BMW 50 Years anniversary emblems.

Other options included: Executive Package, Remote engine start, Soft-close automatic doors, Rear side window shades, Heated and cooled cupholders, Front massaging seats, Front ventilated seats, Front and rear heated seats, M Competition Package, M Sport exhaust system, 21/22 M light alloy wheels, M seat belts, Competition Package 2, Driver Assistance Professional Package, Extended traffic jam assistant, Active driving assistant pro.

Also worth noting, the current/original owner swapped out the tires for the always welcome Michelin Pilot Sport 4S about 10,000 miles ago.

The seller also states: “Clean title in-hand. No accidents, no issues, no concerns. Garage kept and regularly washed/detailed. All services have been completed on-time, including the 1,200 mile M break-in service. Only top-tier 91 gas from Mobil, Chevron, or Shell.

“You will be hard-pressed to find a cleaner X5M, especially in this ultra rare color, which is only available as special order through BMW Individual program. MSRP $124,945 .. 2 keys/fobs included, along with user’s manual and window sticker.”

Colors are dynamic and full of depth, influenced significantly by lighting. While pictures can serve as a useful reference, they can’t capture the full spectrum of color. Beyond the naked eye, video offers the next best way to appreciate the true nuances of color.

Urban Werks has recently posted a new video on their YouTube channel featuring a PTS British Racing Green Macan GTS. UW is known as the premier detail shop in Lancaster, PA, focused on vehicle protection and detailing. While they work on any vehicle make or model, a lot of their clientele tends to be higher-end, bringing in cars like this. After applying full-body PPF (a great idea for a color like this) and ceramic coating, the team also lowered the car using lowering links and installed wheel spacers to give the GTS a more aggressive stance.
