    Also known as Glut Orange, Solar Orange is a long-running Audi exclusive mainstay that captures the primary orange vibe. According to the dealer who currently has it for sale in Ohio, it’s one of two that we’re guessing refers to RS 5 Sportbacks sent to the USA in the 2022 model year though they aren’t entirely specific on that.

    Specific or not, what we know is that Solar Orange looks great on an Audi RS car.

    Sometimes it’s hard to get an accurate read on colors based on photos. This very handsome Audi R8 V10 performance Spyder is a great example. While its orange paint looks on the darker side of a primary orange… more like a Gulf Orange, the listing shows it as Glut orange that is lighter and closer to traditional Signal Orange.

    Either would look amazing on an R8 Spyder so perhaps it doesn’t matter, but we draw attention to it because our experience with Solar Orange (also known as Glut Orange with same color code) is that it’s slightly different than what you see here.

    This car is beautifully specced with Pastel Silver leather interior and Rock Grey stitching.

    The only modification we’re seeing in the photos are the color of the brakes. The Monroney shows them to be red, though in the photos from the dealership they appear orange. We’re guessing a previous owner had them resprayed.

    One of a reported five in Glut Orange, this Audi S3 is from an offering that many affectionately refer to as ‘skittles’ cars. Audi put a package together where potential buyers could chose from Audi exclusive’s Glut Orange, Viper Green, and Vegas Yellow, along with matching interior stitching and belt trim. Sadly this Facebook Marketplace listing does not include interior shots, but trust us when we say it’s unique.

Audi exclusive Solar Orange was chosen for this RS 5, with the added bonus of Audi exclusive deviated stitching in a matching Signal Orange found in the interior. In no doubt aided by the bold choice in color, this mega-sticker Tailored Driver is currently on offer at a Stellantis dealer for the seemingly low asking price of $45,991. If we had to guess, we’d say that’s likely half off its original asking price.
