What: 2007 Porsche Boxster S Color: Unconfirmed, Believed Nordic Gold (nordischgoldmetallic; metallic UNI; M2Z / 8W; Porsche) VIN: WP0CB29897U731315 Mileage: 77,910 miles Price: $24,900 CarFax: Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Plaza Motors, Tempe, AZ Listing: Link
We’re not 100% confirmed on the color of this well-kept 987 Boxster S, but we believe it’s Nordic Gold Metallic. The period is correct, and there aren’t a lot of colors close to this in the Porsche Paint to Sample palette so we’re fairly safe in saying it. Whatever it is though, it’s handsome and tastefully paired with a close-to-tone interior.
Nordic Gold Metallic is perhaps best known for being a launch color on the Porsche 911 Targa (type 997). Even though that’s an exceptionally rare car, we’re guessing you’re more than likely to have seen one of those than you are to have seen Nordic Gold on an early Boxster S like this one.
Interestingly, it’s a Tiptronic. Because it’s an early 987 and not a later 987.5, this means it’s got the torque converter automatic rather than twin clutch DSG. Regardless, it’s an incredibly handsome cruiser.
What: 1982 Land Rover Range Rover Classic 3.5 V8 Color: Bahama Gold (bahamagold; non-metallic UNI; LRC235; Land Rover) VIN: N/A Mileage: 4250 km, 2,640 miles Price: €59,950 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location:Gallery Aaldering, Brummen, Netherlands Listing:Link
“Monte Carlo Worthy” is maybe the best way ever to describe a pristine vintage luxury car, and that’s precisely how Gallery Aaldering leads in explaining the Bahama Gold example you see here. Why? Well, for starters it spent its last ten years residing in Monte Carlo.
Remember, this is the place where F1 champions valet whatever the hell they want to because they are F1 champions, or cruise the streets of this ultra exclusive town past yachts and casinos. Having the most expensive anything is likely passé, though perhaps so too is going back to Monte Carlo with someone else’s former Range.
So maybe don’t go back to Monte Carlo. Even still, if you’re seeking one of the best known examples of Range Rover’s 2-door early trucks with an incredible specification including manual transmission, we know where you can find one.
What: 2023 Porsche 718 Spyder Color: Paint to Sample Gold Bronze Metallic (goldbronzemetallic; metallic-UNI; Z52; Porsche) VIN: WP0CC2A83PS222079 Mileage: 1,133 Miles Price: $159,999 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: Pictured Below Location: Portland, OR Listing:Gran Prix Motors
It’s sadly not as often as we’d hope that something comes across our desk from seemingly out of far left field and leaves us speechless, but that’s exactly where we find ourselves this morning. Paint to Sample Gold Bronze Metallic is nowhere on our radar, and after seeing it here- we’d say that’s a miss. More Bronze than Gold with a vibrancy helped by generous metallic flake, the color is stunning. No doubt that the black wheels, bucket seats, yellow belts and bright red fire extinguisher helps to juxtapose the color with a focused seriousness, but we’ll count ourselves among the converted.

This gold contrast stitching extends throughout the cabin, including to the AMG Performance steering wheel, armrest, center door panels and instrument panel. MANUFAKTUR high-pile floor mats with black Nappa leather piping, an embroidered AMG logo and contrast stitching in gold also underscore the superb attention to detail. Unique MANUFAKTUR Kalahari Gold Magno trim elements on the seats, doors panels and center console further accent the interior. A “MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast” badge adorns the center console door, emphasizing the exclusivity of the special model.
A Handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine powers the AMG SL 63 MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast, producing 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. An AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9G transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive enable acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

We’re pushing the boundaries with this particular market find. We suspect it’s a specification straight out of the 1981 order book. We can’t confirm the color name or code. And, it’s in Europe, meaning our primarily North American audience would have to import it. Luckily enough, its 1981 model year makes it an easy import. Its excellent specification and remarkably preserved condition also makes it easy on the eyes.
For those not familiar with the Maserati Merak, it’s a mid-engine Italian sportscar from the 1970s and into the 1980s, a halcyon era of that genre. Penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro, it has all of the exotic feel of more known 70s/80s mid-engine Italian offerings from Ferrari or Lamborghini, but we’d argue it’s just as exotic a look… especially when built to an exquisite specification.
Regarding specification, drivetrain may be arguably not exotic in 2000 GT form. Maserati launched the 2000 GT in 1977 almost exclusively for the Italian market. The Merak 2000 GT was built to avoid Italian customers from being penalized with a Value Added Tax (VAT) of 19% for any cars over 2-liters of displacement. That tax was deflating enough to Italian car manufacturer sales that brands began to specially make 2-liter examples of their entry-level models. Ferrari launched its 208 GTB, Lamborghini introduced the Urraco P200 and Maserati added the Merak 2000 GT.
Unlike today where Maserati and Ferrari can largely pull from the same corporate parts bin, the brand was owned by Citroën at that time. In as much, Maserati developers turned to the French manufacturer to source a workable engine, and for this it replaced the Merak SS’s 2.9-liter V6 derived from Citroën SM’s 2.7-liter V6 with a smaller 2.0-liter V6 also from the SM.
Visually, the 2000 GT is most easily identified for its black side stripes that run horizontally down the mid-section of the body. Over time, a lot of 2000 GTs had their stripes removed to look higher dollar, though its likely that cars still sporting the original stripes as this one does are probably worth more today.
The Merak 2000 GT was offered in just two colors, a metallic blue or this other metallic that is often referred to as “gold”, though we’d argue is a bit more of a light brown. We’re not 100% sure of the name though as we were unable to dig up any confirmation of the paint colors or codes, despite ample searching and the dealer’s own detailed listing. If you know the color or code, drop us a note in the comments below.
Whatever the case of the name, the look of the color is very unique. Browns were popular in that time period though typically fell out of vogue, and certainly weren’t the more usual reds or blues the mass market tends to prefer. In our eyes, that makes it more unique, and it also makes it incredibly paired with the particular highly preserved tartan interior of this car.
Inside, brown leather helps elevate the feel of quality of an era of dashboard and center console that’s not always the most robust. Here, it looks well-kept and well-paired with tan fabric seats and brown and tan tartan seat centers. Whereas the 2000 GT may not be the most preferable drivetrain, this interior makes this car incredibly attractive despite its power deficiencies.
This Merak 200 GT is listed for sale at Gallery Aaldering in Brummen, NL. Yes, that means you’ll have to import it if you want it. It’s logged just 14,925 km (9,273 miles), so it’s practically new by that count.

The BMW 3.0 CSL is one of the most collectible vintage BMWs going, a rare and highly sought-after iteration of the brand’s E9-based coupé. Like its period motorsport competitor the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, few CSLs were built and the collector market tends to keep close track of where they are and when they’re coming on the market. It’s notable then when RM Sotheby’s plans to sell one in their upcoming Münich based auction.
Motorsport intentions were always the plan with the CSL, and to accomplish that BMW engineer set about light weighting it via generous use of aluminum in the doors, hood, and trunk lid. These and other measures helped aid its shedding some 440 lbs. BMW built just 1,265 unites, of them just 500 were built as right-hand drive like this one. Racecars derived from these roadgoing homologation specials would net six European Touring Car championship titles from 1973 to 1979.
The 1972 3.0 CSL in question (Vin: 2285250) is a a peculiar build both in configuration and specification in that it’s both right hand drive and painted Ceylon Metallic (ceylon; metallic UNI; 008; BMW). And though its lot description from RM denotes a likely replacement engine, it still expected to fetch anywhere from €120,000 – €160,000 Euros. Compared to a 911 Carrera RS 2.7, that’s a relative bargain.
Below is the full lot description of the car and gallery. To see the full lot listing including associated documents, as well as registration to bid, check out the RM Sotheby’s website HERE.

One of just 500 right-hand-drive examples of the revered CSL homologation special; fitted with a fuel-injected 3,003-cc engine making 200 PS
Finished in rare Ceylon Metallic; features period-correct and desirable Scheel sports seats, Petri three-spoke steering wheel, plus electric rear windows
Bought by The Munich Masterpieces Collection in 1999; benefits from an older restoration
Accompanied by a history file, owner’s manual, tool kit, jack, and spare wheel
The rarest and most sought-after variant of the beautiful E9 coupé, the 3.0 CSL arrived with aluminium doors, bonnet, and boot lid to help shed some 200 kilograms. Building 1,265 units allowed BMW to homologate race cars that would notch no fewer than six European Touring Car titles between 1973 and 1979.
Just 500 CSLs were configured in right-hand drive, including this example that was completed by the factory in December 1972. Equipped with the potent Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection system, the sonorous straight-six produced 200 PS. Please note that this car is fitted with what is believed to be a non-stamped factory replacement engine.
The consigning owner, intent on finding a rare Ceylon Metallic car, imported chassis 2285250 to Finland in June 1999. The following year, a restoration and repaint was commissioned. Today, complete with the desirable Scheel sports seats, Petri three-spoke steering wheel, 14-inch CSL alloys, and electric rear windows, as well as being offered with a Birth Certificate by BMW Classic, this example would be a superb addition to any marque or motorsport-themed collection.
New version of the Roma Spider presented packed with innovative personalisation options
The car will be displayed at the ‘One of a Kind’ exhibition in the Enzo Ferrari Museum
A further enhancement to the immersive experience of the Tailor Made programme
[source: Ferrari]
Maranello, 9 October 2024 – Ferrari presents a unique version of the Roma Spider created by the Tailor Made department: the car will be on display at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena as of today as part of the ‘Ferrari One of a Kind’ exhibition, dedicated to the exclusive world of personalisation for the Maranello-based manufacturer.
The aim of this Roma Spider in particular is to highlight innovative component production techniques, enabled through the use of special, refined supplies. Standing out among these is work on the fabric in the central panel of the seats with manual stitching that adopts leather from the interior and applies thread obtained from recycled tyres.
On this car, Ferrari has launched work with lasers on aluminium body components for the shield on the front wing, as well as the option of personalising the bonnet design with a compass rose and the geographical coordinates of Maranello. Aluminium recycled during the production phase in the Ferrari foundry is also used to create some components of the twin-turbo V8 engine, reducing the volume of waste to a minimum.
Other noteworthy features include the use of chrome-free nappa leather and wood of controlled origin on the tonneau cover and rear floor, as well as components made from sand, on the centre console, recycling the sand removed from casts in the Maranello foundry.
Collaboration with Montblanc was also of considerable importance, with Ferrari’s partner creating a special edition of the celebrated Meisterstück for the occasion. This iconic writing instrument now sports the same Oro Mida colour specifically chosen by the Maranello Styling Centre to characterise the Ferrari Roma Spider Tailor Made. This unique item is also enhanced with a nib made of hand-worked Au750 solid gold and platinum-coated with a special compass motif, and cap and sections also coated in platinum.
In keeping with the concept of journeying as a thread running through the whole project, the writing instrument is accompanied by a logbook with a cover featuring reused leather in the same colour found in the interior of the Ferrari Roma Spider: Rosso Bologna and Pelle Metalizzata Oro Mida. Impressed on the cover are the coordinates of Maranello, the same as the ones on the body of the logbook and which recall the compass rose engraved on the bonnet, an indissoluble connection between the writing instrument and the car.
This Ferrari Roma Spider represented an unparalleled opportunity for research and development on materials and processing to further extend the wealth of personalisation options offered by the Tailor Made department. So it is that the car becomes part of the special ‘One of a Kind’ exhibition installed at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, which offers visitors a specific immersive experience of the personalisation programmes to which Ferrari clients have access: together with the interactive wall enabling a physical experience of materials, fabrics, colours and the vast range of options that the Ferrari Styling Centre provides for clients, the installation is now enhanced with the particular materials chosen for the Ferrari Roma Spider Tailor Made to make it unique. The car will stay on display at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena until February 2025.
FERRARI ROMA SPIDER The timelessly elegant, high-performance Ferrari Roma Spider is a contemporary take on the chic, pleasure-seeking Italian lifestyle of the 1950s and 60s. Its most distinctive trait is the retractable soft top, returning to the Prancing Horse range on a front-engined car 54 years after the 365 GTS4. The twin-turbo 620 cv V8 from the engine family that was heralded as the International Engine of the Year on four consecutive occasions, combined with the 8-speed DCT gearbox, allows the Ferrari Roma Spider to deliver category-leading performance.

GranCabrio Folgore and the TRIDENTE powerboat are the 100% electric leading lights from the Modena-based company at the event dedicated to maritime luxury.
[source: Maserati]
Monaco – From 25 to 28 September, Maserati will be in the Principality of Monaco for the first time it is taking part in the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year for boating and luxury yacht enthusiasts.
Now in its 33rd edition, and organised under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the MYS is dedicated to those who love to experience the sea in style, without sacrificing luxury, comfort, elegance and innovation, in search of the latest trends in the maritime market – for rent and for sale – and enriched by the presence of the elite of builders, brokers and global specialists in the sector.
In the picturesque bay of Port Hercule, an audience of over 560 exhibitors have made room to welcome the international public of experts and enthusiasts for pleasure boating, surrounded by the truly unique atmosphere of the most glamorous resort on the Côte d’Azur.
In this exclusive setting alongside a fleet of over 120 superyachts and the best of the most luxurious tenders, Maserati has chosen to stand out with two of its most recent and innovative creations. The TRIDENTE powerboat is the result of the collaboration between the Modena-based company and Vita Power, a sophisticated marine technology outfit engaged in the development and production of high-performance all-electric powertrains and yachts; GranCabrio Folgore is the first 100% electric convertible on the market in the luxury segment, based on 800-V technology and developed with cutting-edge technical solutions that combine outstanding performance with the design and elegance typical of the Trident.
With TRIDENTE, Maserati is writing a new chapter in its history on the water. The 10.5-metre powerboat – with a maximum output of 600 hp and a battery capacity of 252 kWh – boasts a cruising speed of 25 knots, a top speed of 40 knots and charges up on direct current in under an hour. The day boat, which can accommodate up to 10 passengers, is made of carbon fibre, finished to the highest creative standards by the nautical artisans at Hodgdon Yachts, a US boatbuilder from Maine with a history of over 200 years of passion and excellence, and a specialist in superyacht tenders.
At the Maserati stand at MYS 2024, TRIDENTE is flanked by a GranCabrio Folgore with Rose Gold bodywork, Titan Grey canvas soft top and ECONYL® Denim and Ice interior.
The new model, presented in April 2024, has already become a style icon and the perfect interpreter of the purest performance thanks to refined details such as the retractable soft top, to enjoy the best open-air experience, space for four true seats with the comfort required even for long journeys, and 800-V technology for outstanding performance, provided by the three powerful 300-kW permanent magnet motors.
In this creation that symbolises Italian elegance on four wheels, luxury and performance come together in a car that can reach 290 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8″, ensuring refined power, comfort without sacrificing the sportiest driving fun, and the latest generation technology. Everything in the GranCabrio Folgore is also designed to optimise the maximum range that can be achieved – from drive modes to specific parameters and energy-saving strategies – and improve the efficiency of the vehicle, which can boast a range of 447 km (WLTP cycle).
Maserati S.p.A. Maserati produces a complete range of unique cars, immediately recognizable for their extraordinary personality. Thanks to their style, technology, and innately exclusive character, they delight the most discerning, demanding tastes and have always been a benchmark for the global automotive industry. A tradition of successful cars, each of them redefining what makes an Italian sports car in terms of design, performance, comfort, elegance, and safety, currently available in more than 70 markets internationally. Maserati line-up includes the Grecale, the “everyday exceptional” SUV, the GranTurismo, the iconic Italian grand tourer, and the GranCabrio, the new convertible of the Trident; all models characterized by the use of the highest quality materials and excellent technical solutions. A range equipped with 4-cylinder hybrid powertrains – available for Grecale – and V6 petrol, with rear-wheel and four-wheel drive, embodying the performance DNA of the Trident brand. The top of the range is made up of the MC20 super sports car and the MC20 Cielo spyder, powered by the ground-breaking 100% Maserati Nettuno V6 engine, which incorporates F1-derived technologies into the power unit of a standard production car for the first time. The GranTurismo is available with both the high-performance V6 petrol engine, derived from the Nettuno, and a 100% electric version: the GranTurismo Folgore, the first car in the Modena-based brand’s history to adopt this solution. Today the full-electric range includes also the Grecale Folgore, Maserati’s first full-electric SUV, and the latest addition, GranCabrio Folgore. By 2025, all Maserati models will also be available in a full-electric version, and the entire Maserati range will run on electricity alone by 2028.
Porsche’s GT3 variants of their 911 range seem to be the frequent flyers of the Paint to Sample and Sonderwunsch world these days, with Touring seemingly having Platinum status. It’s easy to see why- the GT3 Touring’s near-perfect mix of sport and comfort makes it a compelling forever car, so you might as well make your order count.
This 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring in Paint to Sample Nordic Gold (VIN: WP0AC2A94PS270254) was configured with nearly $53,000 in optional equipment, requiring a discerning eye to really digest the scope of this build. It’s a mix of must-haves like the expanded range fuel tank (drive it!), carbon ceramic brakes and front axel lift, and some nice to haves like the carbon roof, deviated seat belts in grey, and LED-matrix headlights.
Currently offered on Bring a Trailer by power seller Northwest European (username “nweuro”) at a current bid of $229,666 at time of writing with roughly 3 days left to bid, this Paint to Sample Nordic Gold Porsche 911 GT3 Touring represents a great opportunity to own one of the least common hues of Stuttgart’s creation. Mercedes-AMG presents a further MANUFAKTUR special-edition model. The exclusive limited edition of 100 is based on the SL 63 4MATIC+ (Combined energy consumption: 13.4-13.0 l/100 km | combined CO₂ emissions: 306-296 g/km | CO₂ class: G)[1] with the 430 kW (585 hp) 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine and fully variable all-wheel drive. The MANUFAKTUR colour kalahari gold magno (kalaharigold; metallic matte; 677; Mercedes-Benz) is a key feature of the SL 63 MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast inside and out. Interior trim in this exquisite shade matches the exterior paintwork. The matte-black 21-inch AMG forged wheels feature a 10 twin-spoke design and offer a subtle colour contrast, with the rims and hub caps also finished in MANUFAKTUR kalahari gold magno. Black brake callipers with white AMG logos further highlight the vehicle’s special status.
The extensive standard equipment includes the AMG Night Package Exterior, AMG Night Package Exterior II and AMG Aerodynamic Package. Details in high-gloss black include the front splitter, A-Wing trim, exterior mirror casings, sill cladding trim and rear-skirt inlays. Furthermore, the double tailpipe fairings, grille-panel fins, model badge and the Mercedes star on the rear are all finished in black chrome. The Aerodynamic Package encompasses additional flics on the wheel arches and air intakes in the front skirt, additional flics on the side air outlets in the rear skirt and a diffuser panel. All elements are painted in high-gloss black.
The standard-fit AMG Performance seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather with elegant diamond quilting and golden topstitching. The multi-contour seat function and seat cooling provide added comfort on long journeys. The AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather is likewise individualised with golden topstitching. This also applies to the deep-pile foot mats featuring the AMG logo, black leather edging and golden topstitching. The trim element on the front-seat backrest is painted in MANUFAKTUR kalahari gold, too. The finishing touch is the exclusive “MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast” edition badge on the centre console.
[1] The specified values were determined according to the prescribed measurement procedure WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure). The ranges given refer to the German market. The energy consumption and CO₂ emissions of a car depend not only on the efficient use of the fuel or energy source by the car, but also on the driving style and other non-technical factors.
