What: 1990 Porsche 911 Singer DLS Color: Dark Olive (unknown color code) VIN: WP0ZZZ96ZLS408205 Mileage: 1,415 miles (believed since restoration/conversion) Price: $3,149,995 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Graham Rahal Performance, Zionsville, IN Dealer Listing:Link
Why We Love It:
The DLS formula for Singer reimaginings is a remarkable thing. Launched in 2018, it created perhaps the ultimate specification for a classic 911, complete with all-carbon bodywork and 500 horsepower 4.0-liter flat six developed by Williams Advanced Engineering. The car was both incredibly expensive and very sought-after, making for years of waiting to get one or prices in the millions if you can find one (see above).
Should you wish to skip the line, Graham Rahal can help assist with this Dark Oliver over Antique Tan example. The black-painted Fuchs-like wheels give it an extra unique appearance even amongst other DLS where exposed silver star protrusions are the typical finish applied. That’s all a very tasteful mix, though there’s a premium attached. Check out the link above for more information, photos and contact details.
When covering these creations from Singer, we usually like to keep track of the Commission or title name given to the car. We’re not seeing one on this car, nor in the listing so if you happen to know then drop us a line or share it in the comments section below.
What: 2020 BMW M4 Competition Color: BMW Individual Java Green Metallic II (javagruen; metallic uni; P7V/6; BMW) VIN: WBS4Y9C05LFH12964 Mileage: 8,184 Price: $71,000 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Premier Auto Lounge, Clearwater, FL Dealer Listing:Link
Why We Love It:
Java is an incredibly dynamic green- loud, but not obnoxious- at least to us. This M4 Competition’s prior owner took that Comp badge to heart, adding some choice track-focused OEM+ modifications, further helping it to stand out from the other M cars at Publix. That’s something we can get behind. Believe it or not, this is the second Java Green F80-gen M car we’ve featured from Clearwater, Florida’s Premier Auto Lounge. The dealer seems to pride itself on having a few Tailored Drivers in stock at any given time, meaning that there’s a good chance you’ll be seeing them again soon.
What: 2024 Audi RS 6 performance Color: Confirmed Matte Paint, Unconfirmed But Believed Sonoma Green Chassis #: WUA1DBF24RN905633 Mileage: 2,555 Price: $146,900 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: See Gallery Location: Southeast Auto Showroom, Pompano Beach, FL Auction Link:Link
Why We Love It:
Factory matte paint is always something special. More expensive than your usual paint to sample shades, it demands a certain premium up front and can prove a bit more work to maintain. Nevertheless, it almost always looks spectacular, emphasizing character lines and creases in the body that often get overlooked when coated with highly reflective gloss surfaces.
More often than not, we tend to see matte finishes on neutral shades – grey, black, white. It’s rarer to see them in colors like green, and also more of a rare find from Audi exclusive unlike brands such as BMW or Mercedes that have coined mattes with brand-specific terminology such as “frozen” or “magno”. Whatever. In a world where rarer is more interesting, a matte color on an Audi exclusive build is most interesting indeed.
That’s where this RS 6 performance comes in. We run our own internal check and see (as confirmed by the Monroney or window sticker) that it’s a matte paint. What we can’t see is final confirmation on the color, though a careful perusal of the photos makes us think it is Audi’s Sonoma Green that was pretty common on the early B9 RS 5, though never offered outside of exclusive for the RS 6.
No doubt this is a handsome car, and the specification continues with factory options including Matte Carbon Package, Bang & Olufsen Advanced Audio with 3D Sound, RS Design package plus (Grey), Executive Package, Driver Assistance Package, RS Sport exhaust, Red brake Calipers and Interior Protection Kit.
Checking out the CarFax, this wagon appears to have been sold new and serviced at Audi West Palm Beach.
It’s hard to imagine building a brand new Porsche 911 GT 3 RS in Paint to Sample Mint Green (mintgrün; non-metallic UNI; 22R; Porsche) and yet all anyone wants to do is talk about the interior, but that’s exactly the case with this elfer going through pre-delivery at Porsche Colorado Springs and shared to Facebook HERE.
Imagine the task. You already know you’ve chosen one of the most iconic 964-era Carrera Cup colors, a color amongst an era that also established as greats the likes of Rubystar / Rubystone and Maritime Blue. Now, pick an interior to top that, and don’t do anything dumb like choosing a leather color that only has a shot of being cool in an ironic sense.
How do you do it? Well, if you’re this particular Porsche Colorado Springs Client, you lean into CXX special wishes and dig into unexpected classic tones and patterned fabric. Light grey leather is the name of the game here, over sport buckets with centers in Pepita houndstooth.
That’s unexpected, because Pepita tends to get paired with black, or maybe brown on rare occasions. Not only does it look amazing on light grey, it might serve to wear a bit better than had the whole seat been done in such a lightly toned hide.
Kudos to Porsche Colorado Springs for sharing this. And, kudos to the builder who created this specification. With so many Paint to Sample and Sonderwunsch GT3 RS examples out there, it’s getting harder and harder to wow those of us who feel sometimes like we’ve seen it all before. No question though, this car has done just that.
What: 2025 Audi RS 7 Sportback Color: Goodwood Green (goodwoodgrünperleffekt; metallic UNI; Z6X; Audi) VIN: WUAPDBF27SN904802 Mileage: 300 miles Price: $167,995 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: See Below in Gallery Location: Audi Freehold, Freehold Township, NJ Marketplace listing:Link
Why We Love It:
We are always, and I mean always, fans of dealer salespeople getting the jump on tailored builds by posting them to enthusiasts on social media. We’ve seen it happen all the time, an enthusiast at the dealership knows what they have, grabs their own photos (see them in this story) and shares them online (see it on Audi Club North America’s Classifieds Facebook Group HERE) as Danny Alves just did.
The car in question is a very tasteful spec, 2025 Audi RS 7 Sportback performance with Audi exclusive Goodwood Green Pearl Effect paint. Inside, it’s also got Iguana Green interior stitching to round out the look. Other options include Matte Carbon Package, Executive Package and Driver Assistance Package. We’re going to give bonus points to whomever built it for going with more subtle black brake calipers over red that bestow just a bit too much of a yuletide vibe on a Goodwood Green Audi.
Thanks again to Danny Alves for sharing it with his own photos before the dealership has them live on their site. If you call Audi Freehold to inquire, check in with him since he was kind enough to share these photos. Email him at dalves@audifreehold.com or call him at 732 347 5371.
We’ve covered Spektrum Golf R’s here before, and each time one pops up it’s admittedly somewhat of a surprise. Cult following, roughly 200 built for the US (33 in Viper Green), enthusiast brand and model- which is a long way to say “these things are sold before hitting market.” Yet here we have a Viper Green that was seemingly traded into a Mazda dealer of all places. Now, Mazda is a great brand with compelling offerings… but really? Perhaps if you scoop up this Tailored Driver, you can let us know what the previous owner walked away with.
What: 1999 Audi A4 Avant 2.8 quattro (MT6) Color: Laurel Green Metallic (lorbeergrün; metallic uni; LY6R / 7N; Audi) Chassis #: Unknown Mileage: 185,664 km, 115,366 miles Price: €11,350 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Lahn Dill Automotive, Herborn, Germany Dealer listing:Link
Why We Love It:
It’s cars like this that make our staff come to blows. Why? Perhaps a better question is why not?
How does one define a “tailored driver” and thus, should a car be posted to this website? So far, we’ve focused with few exceptions on cars that are special ordered from a marque’s in-house tailoring department or others remastered by firms with a niche specialty for building consistent and commissioned reimagined automobiles.
So, what of a truly exceptional standard spec built from the factory order book? In their day (particularly days when brand order guides were vastly deep and rife with costly complexity), they were a clearly tasteful expression by a buyer who knew their way around the configurator without necessarily ringing up the tailor. Take for example this 1999 Audi A4 Avant we’ve found for sale in Germany.
We actually dug out our 1999 A4 catalogue to verify this one. Laurel Green Metallic (a.k.a. Vorbeer Metallic) was indeed a standard color in that year. In the stock color palette, it suffered from a relatively low take rate that made it somewhat rare, rarer still in North America where we don’t believe it was offered at all.
At the time, Audi had an interesting way of pre-packaging color combinations, with three grades of A4 – Advance, Ambition and Ambiente. Laurel Green was offered in Ambition and Ambiente, optionally paired in either case with Ecru (light tan) Buffalino Leather as seen in this car. This car was built to Ambition spec.
As factory specifications go, this car is a notably luxurious German build. It foregoes sporty options like a wild color or sport design steering wheel, yet focuses on a handsome color combination, luxurious cabin and large displacement engine (2.8-liter V6). For that, it offered a comfortable environment that was perfectly capable of autobahn-storming.
By 1999, Audi’s A4 had received its mid-lifecycle product improvement, also known more commonly as a facelift, which included updated door handles, lower inset foglights and other subtle upgrades. This particularly well appointed survivor also got quattro all-wheel drive, ESP, and a host of options listed below. Add that to the enthusiast-darling Avant (station wagon) body style in a rare or never-available color and you have the makings of a winner for the discerning aficionado seeking a car from this late 90s / early 2000s era.
The dealer shares that the car appears to have had two owners prior to this, with maintenance carried out regularly. The service book was maintained without gaps to 66,969 km by the Audi dealer. The original car invoice is also included and seen in photos shared.
That said, the dealer also shares that the car did have “an encounter with a bollard” that required the hood, bumper and associated parts to be replaced with original Audi parts. Beyond that, some wear and tear can be seen in photos, but surprisingly little given the age.
All things considered, a nicely appointed A4 Avant is a great way to affordably get into this space. The hotter S4 and RS 4 versions are definitely more sought after, though few will be appointed as uniquely as this A4 2.8 quattro.

What: 1997 BMW 316ti Compact Color: Fiji Green (fidschigrün; non-metallic; 413; Porsche) Interior: Black and Yellow VIN: N/A Mileage: 99,000 km / 61,515 miles Price at Time of this Writing: € 18,000 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Erkner, Germany Private Party Listing:Link
Why we love mention it:
This color combination isn’t for everybody, but we suspect anyone who fully embraces automotive trends of the 1990s, particularly the quirkier German side of those trends, then we think you’ll love this car.
The E36-generation BMW 3-Series “Compact” you see here is reportedly one-of-one. While exceptionally rare, the striking and more-saturated-than-mint-green Fiji Green paint doesn’t quite get it one-of-one status. However, that two-tone black and yellow interior likely does.
We’ll share the car’s listing (translated to English by Google) below, and in that you’ll note the mention of its presence at the Essen Motor Show. Given this car is far from a tuner special, we’re guessing it was displayed there in period as part of a BMW brand stand. In that time period, the German manufacturers would often show up with some entirely stock but still radically built cars by their internal tailoring departments. BMW Individual appears to have had at it with this one, though curiously built in a relatively tame drivetrain configuration.
For starters, there’s an automatic transmission. Next, the ad doesn’t confirm which motor it is by name, but the power figures suggest it’s a 316 (so drop us a note if we’re wrong on that one). Whatever, it’s still a very interesting car that’s been owned by the same owner since 2000. For the BMW collector who has everything, we’re guessing they don’t have one of these.

Why We Love It:
This barely broken-in 296 GTB is painted the always stunning Verde British. Even better, it’s tastefully paired with unique Iroko brown interior with matching Alcantara, yellow brake calipers and lots of Alcantara.
Worth noting, Verde British is non-standard, meaning this car was built via Ferrari’s Paint to Sample-Extracampionario program. And, as you can see in the full specification published by the dealer (below), it’s a notably expensive option.

What: 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Reimagined by Singer Color: Green Blood Dark (unknown) Chassis #: WP0AB0960KS450700 Mileage: undisclosed miles Estimated Price: No Estimate CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2025, Scottsdale, AZ Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
A dark green Classic Services restoration from Singer Vehicle Design is always a winner in our book, so the 911 you see here that’s part of Barrett Jackson’s upcoming Scottsdale 2025 auction is definitely worth a closer look and a healthy amount of lust.
We have a couple of questions about this Singer that we’d want to know and don’t seem to see in the listing. For starters, the listing isn’t specific whether it’s a Carrera 2 or all-wheel drive Carrera 4, but we’re deducing it’s the latter? Why, though both versions were sold in the European market, America only got the Carrera 4 in 1989. And while importing Euro market C2s are an “affordable” way into the rear-wheel drive 964 club, we think this is a U.S. car given the Barrett Jackson listing description does mention some damage activity in the CarFax report from 2014, nine years before the 2023 Singer reimagining took place. Even if it was a Carrera 4 from the factory, we suppose it could also have been converted to rear-wheel drive. Ultimately, that’s worth checking.
Another question we have is the name of the Commission. It seems like each Singer tends to take an identity of its own thanks to a mix of Commission nomenclature or simple nicknames. We’re seeing none in this listing, and for the new owner or the curiosity of Singer aficionados, this would be good to know.
The color is listed as Green Blood Dark, which isn’t a color we’re familiar with. In photos, it looks darker than a Porsche Irish Green yet lighter than Porsche Brewster Green. Frankly, it doesn’t appear far from Audi Goodwood Green, but ultimately that’s hard to tell from simply seeing photos.
Want more details on the car? We’ll print Barrett Jackson’s lot description below. Check out their website linked above should you want more details, photos or information on how to bid on the car.
