If you want to make a paint color forgettable, call it “beige” and make it a launch color on your first EV. That’s exactly what Audi did with the paint color you see here. Dubbed “Siam Beige” it debuted on Ingolstadt’s first e-tron. And while debatably it may very well have been the best-looking paint color offered on the e-tron, product managers shared with us at the time that it had the lowest install rate of any color sold standard on that car.
Why? It was called “beige”. That doesn’t exactly spell out excitement. Even still, we’d argue Siam Beige should get more love than it does. If you’re a fan of subtle tonal colors like Porsche’s Chalk, Crayon or Fashion Grey, then Audi exclusive’s Siam Beige is worth a second look. Alas, when it comes to client-chosen Audi exclusive colors, it often gets overlooked just as it did in the original e-tron’s color guide.
So, when we see car’s like this, we’re reminded why we love it so much. The car you see here is a MY2021 Audi R8 V10 RWD that’s part of the Audi Certified Pre-Owned inventory at Audi Melbourne… (Florida, not Australia).
While we wish Audi Melbourne would have closed the ajar frunk on the R8 for their photos, we applaud them for listing the color in the ad listing. The latter is especially helpful on a color like this shot in a showroom where it can be mistaken for a silver or other grey, leaving it nearly impossible to identify without the aid of the individual who used care filling out the listing. Hat tip to them then.
We find a car as in-your-face as an R8 often looks great in an understated yet handsome tone. Siam Beige fits the bill just fine, and we applaud the original owner for building it to that spec. Should you wish to be the next owner, check it out at Audi Melbourne.

The car is an unmistakable expression of one´s own personality – that is the philosophy of Audi exclusive. Since 1995, the brand with the four rings has been setting standards in the personalization of premium vehicles in keeping with this motto. An early example of this pioneering spirit was the Office packages for the first-generation Audi A8, which included a refrigerator, bar compartment, VHS player and monitor, folding table, and power curtains.
The ability to integrate high-demand design options directly into production has improved significantly in recent years. While the standard range for most Audi models boasts up to eleven colors, Audi exclusive allows customers to choose from an even broader spectrum of additional finishes, including a variety of special Audi exclusive finishes and standard colors from other Audi models. Different markets show different preferences among a range of nuances, from matte to gloss finishes in a wide range of colors.
The Audi exclusive portfolio covers three main areas: full personalization, predefined design and stitching packages, and editions. Customers can choose from a range of eight main finishes for the interior, complemented by three accent colors – Alaska Blue, Iguana Green, and Calendula Yellow. They are showcased perfectly in the Bicolor packages for the Audi e-tron GT, for example. “We want to allow everyone to design their Audi to be as individual as they are,” says Michael Binder from the Audi exclusive Product Marketing team. “Every one of our customers wants to express themselves with their Audi – without saying a word. With the color and material combinations and our many years of experience, we help customers express their personality and individual style through their car.”
Successes and developments in customer service
Since 2005, Audi exclusive has emphasized its presence with its studios at the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt. Customers there receive comprehensive advice and enjoy direct access to the wide range of design options on offer. With the knowledge of their product experts, these centers of excellence are open to customers from all over the world to help them realize their preferences and personal vision. The entire spectrum of customization options can be experienced live on site, and tailor-made solutions are created in personal conversations.
A significant innovation was the introduction in 2022 of the Audi exclusive customizer*. This visualization tool provides detailed 3D renderings of thousands of exterior and interior color combinations, giving customers a taste of the virtually limitless customization possibilities.
Car enthusiasts will find the right range of exclusive and limited design-oriented elements for luxury and mid-range models at Audi exclusive. Customers of Audi exclusive value autonomy, luxury, high-quality materials, precise manufacturing and sustainability. On average, one in five Audi R8s delivered by Audi featured a personalized interior by Audi exclusive, making the R8 the most frequently equipped car by Audi exclusive to date.
A current example of this special individuality is the Audi of Canadian racecar driver Jacques Villeneuve, whose characteristic helmet design is reflected in his Audi RS 6 Avant2. His car was given a pink body, blue brake calipers, yellow stitching, green JV logos embroidered on the seats, and red seat belts to create an unmistakable overall appearance.
The new Audi e-tron GT as a platform for creative innovations
With the introduction of the new S e-tron GT3, RS e-tron GT4, and RS e-tron GT performance5, Audi exclusive is setting benchmarks for the personalization of electric vehicles. The only Audi model to be built at Böllinger Höfe, the Audi e-tron GT family represents the Neckarsulm site, while the performance variant is the sporty flagship of the Audi portfolio. Audi is using the debut of the new electric Gran Turismo to introduce innovative, customized options from Audi exclusive. Through sophisticated elegance and advanced technology, the electric Gran Turismo is the perfect symbiosis of performance and high tech. With a wide range of finishes and materials, Audi exclusive allows customers to design their e-tron GT model to be one of a kind.
At market launch: e-tron GT models as an Audi exclusive edition
All three model variants of the new Audi e-tron GT are also available as a 299-unit limited Audi exclusive edition in North America, Europe, and other overseas markets. Since the creative minds at Audi find inspiration everywhere in their environment, it is no surprise that the Audi Design team turned to nature and its constant change to inspire the new worlds of color on offer. Like a kind of design sculpture, each new Audi e-tron GT is meant to always look exciting and fresh from every perspective. Color and trim designer Christopher Kroener was inspired by the subtle ways that nature changes temperature and light throughout the day. “Our choice of colors was not for a specific tone per se, but rather an emotional approach to the possibility of reproducing a fleeting moment of nature,” explains Kroener. Inspired by morning dew, Mint Gray evokes the fresh feeling of a morning walk, while Mora Violet provides a stylish contrast that reflects a strong, modern aesthetic.
Combined with creativity, an affinity for trends, and technical expertise, the new materials on offer help the new worlds of color make a stirring impact.
Exterior highlights in Arabica Gray and matte Neodymium Gold
One unmistakable feature of the series is the expressive exterior finish in Arabica Gray. Daytona Gray Pearl Effect, a very popular classic, inspired the color. Arabica Gray is versatile and premium quality. When viewed in the shade, the tone appears dark, but it takes on a golden hue when viewed in the light. This mix of brown, gold, and gray is unique. The luster of the finish is reminiscent of roasted coffee beans, and depending on the lighting, it can take on a unique depth and sophistication.
Based on the new 6 double-spoke RS design, the progressive wheel design of the Audi exclusive edition is available for the first time in black, matte Neodymium Gold, and burnished silver. This three-tone look echoes the bold hue of the Arabica Gray finish and elevates the appearance of the exterior to perfection. Metallic Neodymium underlines the car’s sporty elegance and exclusivity. “I took a new approach to the design of the different wheels, deliberately choosing not to use a dark aluminum and instead opting for a warmer variation that systematically reflects the gold particles in the Arabica Gray finish,” says wheel designer Andreas Valencia Pollex. “A vehicle’s wheels can harmoniously complement or radically change its overall look, just like your choice of shoes can complete your entire outfit.” During development, the wheel colors evolved from silver through black and bronze to their final iteration in bright gold. The desire for conspicuous elegance resulted in the increased use of matte Neodymium Gold. This extraordinary wheel color was first available for the RS 6 Avant performance6.
Interior highlights in Mint Gray and Mora Violet
The distribution of its colors gives the leather-free interior the appearance of a four-seater, but it legally seats five. The seats’ center panels, shoulder arches, and side bolsters come in Mint Gray to contrast with the Mora Violet areas. This is the first time that Audi exclusive has used these new colors. As a particular highlight, the decorative inlays on the instrument panel come in eucalyptus wood (in addition to carbon variations) trimmed in anthracite, which is used in this way for the first time. Eucalyptus is known for its characteristic look, created by the dense grain of light and dark waves. The distinctive Sport seats plus ensure maximum comfort. They are optionally available with ventilation and massage functions, either alone or in combination. The seats are upholstered in a combination of Cascade fabric, Dinamica microfiber, and Mono.pur 550 artificial leather with special waterfall stitching. Details such as door inserts in Mint Gray Dinamica microfiber with Audi exclusive badges, color-coordinated loudspeaker grilles, and switch covers, as well as color-coordinated seat belts, steering wheel, and floor mats round out the interior as an expressive statement.
Virtual environments
As part of the Audi exclusive edition, Audi is also making personalization possible in the digital world. Instead of an embossed number badge, the MMI indicates each limited model’s sequential number. Edition-specific MMI wallpaper with color-coordinated ambient lighting completes the digital experience. All previous MMI designs remain available along with these new features and can be freely selected by customers as before.
Individual customizations for the new Audi e-tron GT
In addition, Audi exclusive offers other packages that transform the interior into an expression of the customer’s personality through the use of contrasting colors. The two-tone Audi exclusive Bicolor design package is particularly noteworthy, combining fascinating charisma and differentiating colors. Interested customers can choose from four predefined interiors: Alaska Blue, Calendula Yellow, Iguana Green, or Crimson Red, each in combination with black. Contrasting stitching, exclusive leather accents on interior elements, and the air vent frames are color-coordinated with the selected package.
On the other hand, the Cognac Brown / Jet Gray design package sets a timeless accent characterized by an elegant command of style. The premium quality of the fine Cognac Brown Nappa leather, combined with subtle Jet Gray contrast stitching, gives the interior a sporty look with an understated touch. It stands as a stylish contrast to the vivid Bicolor packages.
For more intense color variations, the Audi exclusive stitching packages allow customers to choose distinctive stitching colors for a range of interior applications in combination with black leather to give their vehicle a sporty touch. What all the packages have in common is attention to detail, maximum precision, and the highest quality, all of which combine to give the interior a truly personal appearance.
In addition to these packages, which have been predefined by Audi design experts and will be expanded throughout the product’s lifecycle, another highlight is free personalization, which allows Audi exclusive customers to express their personal style on numerous interior components. These personalization offers have been in high demand since the launch of the Audi e-tron GT. The steering wheel is the most frequently personalized component, with 30% of all personalization requests, followed by the floor mats with 22%. The predefined design packages were used 16% of the time, a significant portion of the total Audi exclusive offering.
The creative minds at Audi will have no shortage of ideas going forward. Current developments in the field of digitalization point to a future where traditional design elements will increasingly blend with virtual immersion. This opens up new dimensions for customized experiences and increases the impact of the offerings. The Audi e-tron GT and Audi exclusive stand for this harmonious combination of progressive personalization and modern electric mobility.

Singer has shown photos of its latest classic reimagined Porsche 911 and the understated specification does not disappoint. The confirmed name is “Nine One Six commission”, and the basic details and photos were posted to the company’s Facebook and Instagram pages..
As per the post, Nine One Six is painted paint-to-sample Fashion Grey. The name is the same and the color appears the same as the light grey that first dropped with the Porsche 911 Sport Classic (type 997.2).
Fashion Grey is a great color, and one we’ve always wondered if Porsche didn’t miss the mark pairing with a colored-leather such as red, blue or green. The client who commissioned Nine One Six may have been wondering the same, because Burgundy leather plays a major part in the interior seen here. Also seemingly in a nod to the Sport Classic that saw the modern production return of Pepita a.k.a. Houndstooth cloth, the owner of Nine One Six also specced the signature woven leather Singer is known for in a pattern that echoes bicolor houndstooth of some Porsche seating back in the day. Very tasteful.

It was just a few weeks ago that Audi revealed its updated RS e-tron GT including RS e-tron GT performance. And while the new model isn’t yet on sale, the brand is already showing off this tastefully tailored version on their Audi Deutschland Facebook Page.
On the outside, the car gets Suzuka Grey Metallic (suzukagrau, pearl effect UNI; LY7F / M1 ; Audi) paint. Near as we can tell, this extremely light grey first began appearing on Audi exclusive models during the B7 Audi RS 4 era. Since that time, it’s been a quasi regular standard offering on RS and R8 models from Audi Sport GmbH, and also a popular go-to for Audi exclusive customers.
Inside, the cockpit of this RS e-tron GT performance gets even more special treatment, including Fine Nappa Leather in black and Diamond Silver. Red accents give it further individualization. See the original Facebook post embedded here, plus a gallery of the car below that.
You have to love BMW M’s social media presence. Photo shoots of special build BMW Individual offerings are a regular theme in their feed, cars like this latest G90 M5 sedan painted BMW Individual Frozen Deep Grey metallic (frozendunkelgrau; metallic matte; P7X; BMW).
These shots come from BMW M’s Facebook feed that you can follow HERE. Follow and like it and we’re pretty certain you’ll trick the Facebook algorithm into feeding you more BMW Individual builds. Even if they don’t though, we’ll make sure to keep them regularly posted here as well.
There are actually several posts of this particular car that we’ve embedded below, giving us plenty of angles on the car in various settings. In those photos, added as a gallery at the bottom of this post, we also get a good look at interior, brake and wheel trim though the posts don’t detail much further than basic model specs and the paint color. The very first Bentley T-Series returns to the Heritage Collection
First registered on 28 September 1965 as a company ‘trials car’
Car found after years in storage as a non-running example
Recommissioned over 18 months of painstaking work at Bentley specialists, P&A Wood
Team encountered many challenges, from wiring loom and accident damage to missing dashboard
A sensitive recommissioning process – ‘repair over replace’ mantra
A significant model in Bentley history: the first monocoque
[source: Bentley Motors]
(Crewe, 9 September 2024) The world’s oldest Bentley T-Series, a standard saloon in Shell Grey, has returned to Crewe after 59 years. Sensitively recommissioned and retaining much of its original componentry and running gear, it takes its place in the Bentley Heritage Collection of road- and race-cars that together describe all 105 years of Bentley’s history.
T-Series chassis number SBH1001 was used as a company trials car and featured in the original press coverage following the model launch at the 1965 Paris Salon de l’Auto. When found under a cover in storage, the car had not run for decades and was missing several key areas – including its entire interior. The car’s significance as the first T-Series – or equivalent Rolls Royce Silver Shadow – off the production line prompted the decision to recommission it, preserving as much of the original car as possible.
Mike Sayer, Head of the Bentley Heritage Collection, explains: “The T-Series is one of the final two pieces of the puzzle to complete our rejuvenated Heritage Collection. Our Chief Communications Officer, Wayne Bruce and I quite literally found it under a tarpaulin in the back of a warehouse, and given it was the first-of-line chassis we knew we had to save it. Together with our T-Series Mulliner Coupe, this revitalised sedan completes the Bentley heritage story of the 1960s and 1970s, and is now an outstanding example of the model, which was the first Bentley to use a unitary monocoque construction.”
After a group of Bentley apprentices started the process of dismantling and assessing the car, the recommissioning of the T-Series was entrusted to the expert team at P&A Wood, specialists in the preservation and restoration of classic Bentleys and the company’s partner for Heritage Collection projects. Louise Wood, daughter of co-founder Andrew Wood, led the project, supported by Coachwork manager Dave Lowe – a P&A Wood veteran of 23 years.
Restored to prime condition Taking stock of the T-Series Bentley, key elements of the drivetrain proved to be in surprisingly good condition. The engine burst into life after a 15-year silence, needing only a thorough service, and the gearbox simply required minor adjustment. The rear axle too was in a good state and only needed new seals.
Major challenges for the team included a missing dashboard, no interior trim, a wiring loom in pieces without a detailed diagram, corrosion around the rear subframe and previous poor-quality crash repairs. With few replacement parts available off-the shelf, the team sourced a donor vehicle that was at the end of its life. As the specification of the T-Series evolved over the years, it was important that the donor should also be an early model. Every detail was discussed and pored over, right down to the correct (Rolls-Royce) logo on the seat belt buckles and the lack of wing mirrors.
The T Series featured innovative vibration-deadening Vibrashock mounts and a two-circuit hydro-pneumatic ride height control, all of which were thoroughly overhauled. All hydraulic hoses were replaced, and unique components like the brake distribution valves were restored to full working condition. Rewiring and fitting the dashboard proved a major undertaking, requiring huge amounts of time and perseverance.
Meanwhile the paintwork was stripped, revealing poorly executed accident repair work and inconsistent panel gaps. One rear wing was corroded and had to be replaced, after which the entire vehicle was given multiple coats of 2k high build primer, each coat being carefully sanded down once dry. ‘We spent a lot of time softening the panel edges, so they don’t look carved out of filler,’ Dave Lowe explains. ‘And though we’re using modern two-pack finishes, we tried to do everything in the old Crewe way.’ That included a final sand down with 8000 grit abrasive followed by machine polishing. Brightwork and bumpers were cleaned and polished, but not re-chromed – preserving the original patina.
That story now begins a new chapter, as the T-Series is reunited with its former press office registration number of 1900 TU as the latest addition to the Heritage Collection. Along with the 45 other cars in the Collection, the T-Series will live on Bentley’s campus in Crewe, England, on permanent display and kept in running, road legal condition to enable driving when needed.
The Bentley T-Series In 1958, work began on designing the first monocoque Bentley and Rolls-Royce, destined to replace coachbuilt bodies underpinned by a separate chassis. The result was the car sold by Bentley as the T-Series and by Rolls-Royce as the Silver Shadow.
By 1962, John Blatchley – famous for styling the R-Type Continental – had completed a new exterior design for a steel and aluminium monocoque body. The design improved on the passenger space of the preceding S3, but with the overall car now seven inches shorter, five inches lower and three and a half inches narrower.
Using the freshly developed 225 bhp, 6.23-litre V8 engine, seven prototypes undertook significant testing including endurance runs of over 100,000 miles. At the time the engine achieved the highest specific output by weight of any production car in the world of 2.7 lb/hp (1.2 kg/hp). Design innovations included separate sub frames to carry the engine and transmission, suspension, steering and rear axle assemblies, with ‘Vibrashock’ rubber sub frame mounts developed to isolate road noise and vibration.
The Bentley T-Series was hailed as a clear example of revolutionary engineering given it was the first Bentley to move away from a separate chassis build, and its relatively lightweight construction gave impressive performance for a four-sedan in 1965, with a maximum speed of 115 mph and 0-62 mph achieved in 10.9 seconds.
1,868 examples of the first-generation T-Series were produced, with a pre-tax list price of £5,425 and the majority being standard four-door saloons.

Porsche has released details on a Taycan Turbo S one-off for Southeast Asian markets that has some pretty unique flair. It also reveals new capabilities for their Paint to Sample program, and confirms Leather to Sample and beyond that a significantly expanded Sonderwunsch program for Taycan models.
Inspiration for the car comes from Jade, and the paint shows off a first-ever pairing of Chromaflair paint and a gradient shift. The gradient shift is sort of like Cannondale mountain bike frames in the 1990s that shifted one color to another front to back. Here though, it’s at a much higher level of time and skill invested.
For starters, both colors are Chromaflair, meaning thin flakes that shift in color. The two paints in question are the green/gold hue of Urban Bamboo and dark grey/blue hue of Shifting Carbon. Applying it with that shift is about 80 hours of work.
Inside, the cabin is also extensively reworked, with Englishgreen and Slate Grey leather, not to mention a few other touches and unique logo icon to set the Celestial Jade apart.
See the full detail in the press release below, with gallery of photos below that.
PRESS RELEASE: Inspired by the precious gemstone jade: Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade
World premiere in Singapore at regional Taycan launch
Unique look: first-ever Chromaflair paintwork with colour gradient
Elegance: varnished carbon-weave elements and “Leather to Sample”
Unique logo created to pay homage to vibrant Southeast Asian region
Stuttgart/Singapur. Fascinating metamorphosis: In the depths of the Earth, a miraculous transformation takes place that produces the precious gemstone of jade. Over thousands of years, minerals in the Earth’s crust heat up and are subjected to great pressure before they crystallise and fuse together. Minor changes in temperature or pressure leave their mark on the rock, creating patterns of green, yellow, gold, white, and sometimes blue. This unique journey from their mineral origins to master artisans, from multi-faceted natural stone to jewellery, is the foundation of the timeless appeal of jade.
Inspired by this precious gemstone, the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, an extraordinary one-off, was created through the Sonderwunsch programme. Together with the Porsche Asia Pacific team, the designers and paint experts at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur sought to reflect the vibrance and innovation of the Southeast Asia in their own craftsmanship, paying tribute to this important region with bespoke touches and mythical symbols.
The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade will celebrate its world premiere at a spectacular Taycan regional launch event on 5 September in Singapore. From there, the one-off model will go on display in various locations in Southeast Asia before being auctioned off for a good cause in 2025.
This Sonderwunsch production is based on the extensively upgraded Taycan of model year 2024. The new versions have more power, more range, accelerate quicker and charge faster with greater stability. The Turbo S has up to 700 kW (952 PS) peak power¹ with Launch Control and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, making it 0.4 seconds faster than its predecessor.
World premiere: elaborate Chromaflair paintwork with colour gradient For the first time ever, in the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, Porsche has blended two Chromaflair effect paints. The preparation and implementation phases for this were both very elaborate, with development taking around a year. The paintwork itself was done exclusively by hand and took around 80 work hours.
Chromaflair pigments contain extremely thin “flakes” that appear to shift in colour depending on how you look at them. These flakes consist of an opaque, reflective core layer of aluminium, which is then surrounded by a glass-like layer. This transparent layer looks different colours depending on the thickness. All together the flakes are only 1 µm thick. By comparison, human hair is 50 times thicker than this. This gradient paint isn’t just found on the body of the Sonderwunsch Taycan: the rear model designation, the “Electric” logo on the side and the key fob cover also have this impressive finish.
“Urban Bamboo”, a bright green with yellow and gold tones, and “Shifting Carbon”, a dark grey with black and blue tones, were chosen as the colour combination. It culminates in the transcendent name of the vehicle: Celestial Jade. Especially in Asia, jade is a noble and precious material that is rich in tradition and associated with happiness and longevity. Carbon, by contrast, symbolises the pioneering spirit of Porsche. This innovative and powerful colour is often seen in the world of motor racing. The material is robust, light and durable.
Bespoke logo with symbolic power, special carbon-weave finish components In addition to the spectacular Chromaflair exterior paintwork, the one-off car features a specially designed logo in several places. The logo is inspired by “LongMa”, a mythical being with a dragon’s head (“Long”) and the body of a horse (“Ma”) said to be of great power and strength, and an auspicious symbol bringing good luck. The motif is also adds a layer of meaningful symbolism to the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, since 2024 is also the chinese Zodiac Year of the Dragon, and the horse reflects the Taycan, with Turkish origins meaning a ‘Young Horse’. The “LongMa” logo on the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade can be seen on the sill guards of the front and rear doors, on the door projector and all headrests.
Another highlight, designed to match the Chromaflair paintwork, is the carbon-weave finish components in varnished Carbon. These replace the standard Turbonite-coloured inlays on the front bumper, on the side skirts and on the rear diffuser. The airblades on the wheels are also made from this special, hand-crafted material. The varnish allows the carbon-fibre compound to shine through. Depending on the angle you look at it from, the surface shimmers in different hues.
“Leather to Sample” now also available for the Taycan In addition to the ten leather and 15 seam colours that Porsche offers as standard for the Taycan, “Leather to Sample” is now also available for this model series via the Sonderwunsch programme. This further customisation option celebrates its premiere with the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade. The interior specialists from the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur have combined the standard colour Slate Grey with the “Leather to Sample” option Englishgreen. This elegant, dark green can be found in the doors, the centre console and the front and rear seats. In addition to Englishgreen, the “Leather to Sample” programme includes around 150 colours.
For especially individual requests, Porsche goes a step further: with “Leather to Sample Plus”, the colour can be chosen almost entirely freely. Inquiries can be made through the Porsche Centres, and the experts at Porsche AG will then check the feasibility.
About the Sonderwunsch programme Porsche is reinterpreting its legendary Sonderwunsch programme from the late 1970s, which will enable it to design individualised, one-off cars – co-created by the customer and professionally produced by Porsche. The offering has now been expanded. In addition to the ability to commission individual customer colour and material requests directly in production at the factory, this expansion also includes subsequent Factory Re-Commissioning and Factory One-Off services for vehicles that have already been delivered to the customer.
Customers can contact their Porsche Centre for customisations on new cars. If the request is beyond the bounds of what the Car Configurator can offer, the Sonderwunsch process kicks into gear with an arranged personal customer consultation at Zuffenhausen or one of the international locations, such as Atlanta or Los Angeles. Here, experts from the manufacturer evaluate individual customer requests and take care of the technical approval for the relevant Factory Commissioning area. Typical Sonderwunsch features range from leather in the luggage compartment to painting the whole exterior in multiple colours using different types of paint surface technology.

Audi of America product planning has dipped into the Audi exclusive catalogue to create some new color and trim limited editions on its S6 and S7 models. Dubbed the Nardo Sport Edition, it pairs paint color with eye-catching interior trim specification.
At the heart of the name is the paint color. Nardo Grey (nardfograu; UNI; LY7C; Audi exclusive) is a popular choice for standard RS model color palettes and also a popular Audi exclusive special paint choice. So, while popular, this also means it’s not a terribly rare color. Whatever the case, it’s a handsome battleship grey shade.
Further differentiation comes from black roof, darkened headlights, carbon mirror trims and gloss black 21-inch wheels that adopt the design of the 22-inch wheels from the RS 6 Avant.
Inside, the specification is more bold, with two-tone Jet Grey and Black leather, additional leather surfaces, Crimson Red Stitching and Crimson Red seatbelts.
Check out the full specification in the Audi press release found below.

RESTON, VA – Audi of America today announced the availability of a new Nardo Sport Edition package for the 2025 S6 4-door sedan and 2025 S7 5-door liftback. Inspired by Audi Sport, the new package adds an exclusive exterior color and unique interior designs to form a subtle yet purposeful palette. The Nardo Sport Edition enhances the sporting appeal of the potent S models, each of which are propelled by a 444-horsepower, 2.9L biturbo TFSI® V6 and quattro® all-wheel drive.
The 2025 S6 Nardo Sport Edition and S7 Nardo Sport Edition will arrive in an Audi exclusive Nardo Gray exterior color, and feature a black roof, darkened headlight structures, and carbon fiber mirror housings. The High-gloss Black package with black badges is included, and both the S6 and S7 Nardo Sport Edition receive 21” gloss black Audi Sport wheels: 5-V-spoke structure design on the S6; and 5-V-spoke trapezoid design for the S7.
The interiors of the S6 and S7 Nardo Sport Edition models each receive an Audi exclusive leather package in Jet Gray/Black with Crimson Red stitching and Crimson Red seatbelts. The special edition includes a leather package that coats the dash, armrest and center console, and on S7 models, the bundle includes a Black Dinamica headliner.
Electrically powered compressor boosts turbo performance The 2.9-liter biturbo TFSI V6 in all 2025 Audi S6 and S7 models is rated at 444 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, and features a separate electronic compressor paired with the engine’s two turbos to sharpen throttle response. Brought to the U.S. market for the first time in S6 and S7 models, the electric powered compressor (EPC) system comprises an electric motor with a small turbine that helps quickly build the twin turbo system’s boost pressure, sharpening throttle response and reducing any noticeable turbo “lag”. When the V6 TFSI engine is operating at higher speeds, a valve for the EPC system closes, leaving a parallel path for air to move through the engine. However, the EPC system is always operating, even at idle, ready to respond to the driver’s needs for increased power.
The EPC makes the most of Audi’s latest-generation 48V mild hybrid electrical architecture, supplying electric energy generated during coasting and recuperation to the vehicles’ 9.6 Ah lithium-ion battery. From there, the battery provides the EPC’s electric motor energy to accelerate the turbine – located downstream of the engine’s turbochargers – to quickly increase pressure, aiding engine responsiveness and torque delivery. The entire EPC system adds just 10 kg (22 lbs) to the vehicles’ overall weight and reduces response time to less than 250 milliseconds, faster than an average human’s reaction time.
Located downstream of the engine’s parallel twin turbochargers and upstream of the air-to-water intercooler, the compressor pushes cooler air through the engine’s two throttle bodies and into its cylinders with higher force. At lower engine speeds, the EPC activates at speeds up to 70,000 RPM, helping the engine operate similar to the smoothness of a naturally aspirated, non-turbocharged, engine.

A highlight of Monterey Car Week is Broad Arrow’s Monterey Jet Center Auction held at the nearby airport. While in town for MCW, we stopped in for a visit at the Broad Arrow preview in order to take a closer look at the incredible metal they were offering for sale. Amongst that mix was this 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS painted in Grigio Ferro Metallizzato (106-E-28).
Research suggests this wasn’t a special request. Grigio Ferro Metallizzato was introduced on later cars, though it remains quite rare. Only 35 Dinos were built in this color.
We encountered the car parked inside one of the Monterey Jet Center hangars that was being used for the Broad Arrow Auction. It sold for $626,500.
