Maserati Opens new Officine Fuoriserie Maserati

The innovative space for customising the House of the Trident’s cars has been christened by the exclusive MC20 Cielo “Less is More…?”

Modena, Italy – At the historic Maserati plant on Viale Ciro Menotti, Modena, a space dedicated to the most refined customization of the House of the Trident’s cars has been created: in the new Officine Fuoriserie Maserati, there is no limit to customers’ wishes and the configuration process is enriched with an innovative painting line to produce the Maserati of their dreams.

A century has passed since the hand of his brother and artist Mario Maserati designed the famous emblem, drawing inspiration from the statue of the Roman god Neptune in Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore. The symbol then found its place on the grille of the Tipo 26, making its debut the following year at the Targa Florio and beginning the glorious history of the manufacturer’s cars, first on the track and then on the road. 2025 is the year of the Trident.

This is not just a logo, it is a symbol of heritage and innovation, of desires and luxury, of Maserati’s nature to always focus every decision-making process on the customer, to exalt their desires and make them possible. As such, the future of luxury is shaped, partly through customisations via the Fuoriserie Programme, with bold investments in bespoke design and technological innovation.

Santo Ficili, Maserati CEO“Maserati is synonymous with Italian luxury around the world and celebrating this concept at the highest level means putting the customer’s desires first in everything we do, especially in the creation of exclusive cars through the Fuoriserie programme. The attention to detail and needs of those who decide to buy a Maserati is what distinguishes us: with the new Officine Fuoriserie Maserati, we offer an additional tailor-made experience, a new chapter in our brand’s history to celebrate our tradition of excellence in artisanship and innovation”.

“The home of the new Officine workshops is in the historic Modena plant”, Ficili went on. This area is the beating heart of an extraordinary brand, the longest-lived in all of Italy’s Motor Valley, with the ability to bring to the world a unique vision of performance and design: the opening represents a major investment in the Modena site and its people, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to the local community and at the same time, creating new opportunities for growth”.

    Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme
Fuoriserie is the embodiment of Maserati’s bespoke artisanship. It is a process that stems from listening to the customer and provides the opportunity to customise every aspect of their car, from the body colours and in-car materials to the most minute detail of the finishes, with complete immersion in the configuration process.

Indeed, it offers access to a wider range of body colours, liveries, brake callipers, rims and interior combinations.  Maserati Fuoriserie customers thus become the stylist of their car, using a personal designer.

There are two levels of customisation: the first is the catalogue where, to assist in orientation through thousands of possibilities for combinations, two collections have been identified (Fuoriserie Corse and Fuoriserie Futura); the second is the Bespoke world of “tailor-made” in which cars are created with content specifically requested by the customer or as unique one-of-one models.

The custom-built collections are dedicated to fans of timeless style and loyal enthusiasts for Maserati history. The Corse collection is inspired by the brand’s glorious heritage on the track, whereas Futura is designed for futurists who embrace change with enthusiasm and energy and are curious about the most avant-garde proposals.

Collezione Corsefor fans of timeless style and gentleman drivers. The inspiration in this case is drawn from the past, from Heritage racing. The main features are colour, as a material, inspired by the reinterpretation of historical shades. The liveries are inspired by iconic racing cars, reinterpreted with a contemporary flair and made entirely of paint, with no decals. Another sporty detail, but more sophisticated and subtle, are the dreamlines, chromatic signs that emphasise the volumes of the bodywork.

The exteriors are also embellished with dedicated brake callipers that add new colours to the range to match the liveries, as well as anodised colour treatments and more outstanding, prestigious finishes such as polish. The interiors are joined by new, more heritage-based leather colours, inspired by tanned vegan leather, and contemporary upholstery, reminiscent of traditional combed melange wool.

Collezione Futurafor futurists, fans of technology and new materials, people who welcome and encourage every change with enthusiasm and energy.
This collection – based on the concept of material and chromatic experimentation, with the support of technological innovation – stands as a stylistic workshop where the Maserati brand experiments with the combination of new materials derived from the interior design, product design and sportswear industries. In addition to aesthetics, a great deal of attention is paid to the performance and sustainability of the materials.
The chromatic experimentation of body colours also sees more extreme or industrial shades combined with textured or matte finishes with interference pigments. Even the two-tone of the bodywork in this collection becomes unexpected and extreme, creating new, more graphic breakdowns.

Finally, the pinnacle of tailoring is reached with the Bespoke cars, where the experience becomes unique and creativity knows no limits.
It is the freedom to bring the customer’s vision to life in a completely unique way, forging an exclusive relationship between Maserati’s creative department and the cars’ owners, to configure an exclusive model

Bespoke is the facet of the Fuoriserie customisation programme whereby dreams come true, allowing a reflection of extraordinary individuality to emerge.

Officine Fuoriserie Maserati and new paintwork area
The Fuoriserie programme is evolving and expanding, aiming at offering an even more unique experience. It has been given a dedicated space within the historic headquarters in Modena, at Maserati’s home for over 80 years. This is where the Officine Fuoriserie have opened: technology meets artisanship, while creativity and customisation know no limits thanks to the possibilities of painting all the models in the current range.

Officine Fuoriserie is a comprehensive tailor-made journey where the experience of buying a car is all-encompassing and seamless, from the initial configuration to the dedicated delivery to the factory.

It all begins in the showroom, in a renovated Fuoriserie lounge area dedicated to the Maserati customer, full of materials from the Catalogue or Bespoke, with an innovative configurator created for the bespoke world, where initial decisions can be made in constant dialogue between the Fuoriserie teams and the designers of the Maserati Centro Stile. We then move on to the pre-existing painting area, where the preparation for the manual paintwork and quality controls take place. Then we arrive in the new innovative paintwork area, for a very high-tech process. After the automated painting, it is divided into three stages: cleaning room; robotic painting and resting, firing at 80°C, double firing. The artisan customisation of the details is then finished.

In the new Officine, more than 20 workstations are ready every day to paint the models in the range, such as the Grecale, MC20, GT2 Stradale, GranTurismo and GranCabrio. The latest technologies cover a dedicated surface area of 4,000 m2, with an innovative paint shop that offers customers a wide choice of colours that are constantly evolving both chromatically and in terms of technology, as well as a broad palette of liveries inspired by the brand’s Racing and Heritage DNA.

At full capacity, the new project could eventually involve up to 110 highly specialised employees, 40 of whom have already been trained in ensuring the highest quality for all Maserati tailor-made cars.

The line is the perfect synthesis of the most advanced technologies and the most refined artisanship. The revamped paint shop can complete work on 24 cars per day, in up to eight units per shift, for a total of 24 potential colours on a daily basis.

    MC20 Cielo Less is More…?
For the opening of the Officine, Maserati presents Maserati MC20 Cielo “Less is More…?”,a new and exclusive One-Off, the epitome and icon of the Fuoriserie programme’s most extraordinary production, with the ability to give form to the customer’s every desire.

It is a special MC20 Cielo customised with design cues inspired by the Bauhaus art movement, full of fine details and complex workmanship, such as a dedicated livery and specially designed body colours.

The exterior of this unique model features geometries that run along the entire length of the car, from the front to the rear. Just as the Bauhaus movement praised simple and abstract shapes in honour of a clean and minimalist aesthetic, likewise the Blu Corse Matte bodywork is embellished with an exclusive livery featuring dots, lines, triangles and rectangles that form a stylised Trident on the bonnet.

The succession of colours – chosen using the classic tones seen in Bauhaus as a starting point and reinterpreting them with a Maserati flair – is almost musical. The geometric shapes range from Rosso Capannelle Gloss, the shade used on the House of the Trident’s first racing cars, to Giallo Avia Pervia Gloss, recalling the Modena emblem, and to Bianco Audace, the launch colour of Maserati MC20 in its matte finish, here proposed with a polished finish that uses meticulous manual processing.
Further details come in Azzurro Himmelblau and in Nero, while the most attentive will also recognize the presence of orange, the same Arancio Devil created to remember Maria Teresa De Filippis – the first woman to qualify for a Formula 1 Grand Prix, having done so aboard a Maserati 250F – and Viola Salchi, taken from the customisation of a Ghibli SS Coupé.

To complete the exterior, the MC20 Cielo “Less is More…?” features 20″ Corsa Forgiati Opachi wheels with Blue Classic brake callipers and an original colour combination for each rim. In the front, the two wheel rims might combine a red profile with a yellow hubcap or a yellow profile with a blue hubcap, in which case the combinations at the rear become white and red or blue and white.

The artistic appeal in the use of different shades is carried over to each finish: artists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee – who taught at the Bauhaus – explored the use of expressive and “contrasting” colour, in the same way as the details of this exclusive MC20 Cielo with specific badges and the Trident logo in Bianco Gloss.

MC20 Cielo “Less is More…?” is a unique model specially built for a customer as part of the Maserati Fuoriserie Bespoke programme.

  • Maserati Meets Giorgetti: Inspired Collaboration Comes to Life at Milan Design Week 2025

Maserati Meets Giorgetti: Inspired Collaboration Comes to Life at Milan Design Week 2025

    [source: Maserati]

Modena, Italy – Maserati unveils the first steps of a new collaboration with renowned Italian furniture house Giorgetti at the 2025 Milan Design Week, an annual international celebration of design attracting one of the most cosmopolitan and kaleidoscopic audiences in the world. The union of these two symbols of Made in Italy has given birth to an interior collection and a Fuoriserie bespoke car, creating a perfect marriage of timeless elegance and technological innovation.

This all-Italian partnership is founded upon shared values: meticulous attention to detail, the pursuit of perfection, and the desire to offer unique experiences. Both Houses embody the Italian concept of “beautiful and well-crafted,” appealing to a refined, sophisticated audience that demands uncompromising quality in a dialogue where each brand inspires the other, giving rise to new creative challenges and journeys.

Over the past 110 years Maserati has been synonym of Italian Luxury, just like Giorgetti. We are thrilled about this partnership as it is a refined example of elegance and excellence, imbued in every detail of design and engineering. The collaboration with Giorgetti perfectly fits within our vision of becoming the curator of the ‘Made in Italy’, creating bonds and emotions while telling our stories of innovation, heritage, quality and exclusivity that unite our brands,” explains Santo Ficili, Maserati CEO.

This partnership represents the authentic expression of the identities of Giorgetti and Maserati, two brands that share profound values and a common vision. It’s a great example of how you can reinforce your DNA through collaboration, research and experimentation. For our 127-year-old House, this is a sign of extraordinary vitality and desire to innovate, always staying true to our role within the industry,” explains Giovanni del Vecchio, Giorgetti CEO.

The Giorgetti Maserati Edition interior collection represents a voyage between myth and nature, where Neptune’s Trident – Maserati’s iconic symbol – inspires Giorgetti’s new designs. It pays homage to the harmony of the sea and the power of the winds, elements that have always guided the automotive brand’s creations. Just as several Maserati models bear the names of powerful winds – such as the Grecale SUV – the collection immerses itself in the allure of the underwater world, evoking the mystery of sirens and the dynamism of waves. From marine depths to boundless skies, the narrative comes alive through evocative names inspired by legendary water nymphs, creatures of extraordinary beauty and strength.

The Maserati Giorgetti Edition is a statement of innovation and refinement that reflects the Trident’s experimentation and constant research. It is a Grecale Folgore one-off, the expression of the 100% electric production from the Modena-based brand created by the experience of the Maserati Fuoriserie customization programme. It celebrates elegance, Italian heritage and passion for details to create an expression of “rolling tailoring”. The bespoke SUV exteriors feature a custom-made bodycolor while its exclusive interiors are conceived to pay tribute to Giorgetti and enhance the coziness of a ‘home feeling’, featuring some of refined fabrics and leather materials used in the interior collection.

Jointly designed by the creative teams of Giorgetti’s Creative Director Giancarlo Bosio and Maserati’s Head of Design Klaus Busse, the Giorgetti Maserati Edition interior collection and the Maserati Grecale Giorgetti Edition are distinguished by a unique design that draws inspiration from dynamism and movement.

The Giorgetti interior collection and the Maserati one-off will be unveiled on April 7th, respectively at the Milanese Giorgetti Spiga showroom and at the Maserati Milan showroom, for a private preview for selected guests, while from April 8th design-savyy visitors and car enthusiasts will be able to experience them up close and personal.

GranCabrio, Maserati’s luxury cabriolet, also with an output of 483 HP
The spirit of the open-air “Italian grand tourer” and the performance typical of the Modena brand are the leading lights in an extremely comprehensive offering, the broadest ever proposed for the Maserati convertible. It is now available both with the TWIN TURBO combustion engine in the 483 HP version, the 542 HP Trofeo version, and with the 100% electric Folgore powertrain.

This version of the GranCabrio is a style icon and the perfect interpreter of the purest performance thanks to refined details such as the retractable soft top, to enjoy the best open-air experience, space for four true seats with the comfort required even for long journeys, whereas the 483 HP 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo enables the car to reach 186 mph, with acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just four seconds.

    [source: Maserati]

Modena, Italy – Maserati is thrilled to introduce Fuoriserie By, a refined collection of cars curated by select tastemakers and friends of the Trident. The exclusive collection has been designed by Japanese street culture legend and friend of the Trident Hiroshi Fujiwara, aiming to inspire car lovers to express their own bespoke vision of the ultimate Italian luxury sports car.

Following a long-standing partnership with Japanese brand Fragment, Maserati unveils two contrasting versions of its super sports car MC20 Cielo, re-imagined by creative director Hiroshi Fujiwara under the umbrella of the Trident’s Fuoriserie personalization programme. These super sports cars are more than simple objects, they become tailor-made garments to be proudly worn along the streets of the world fusing Maserati’s style and Hiroshi Fuijwara’s character.

For the very first time, Maserati has replaced its iconic Trident emblem – proudly showcased on the MC20 Cielo’s tonneau cover – with Fragment’s double lightning bolt icon. Two editions of MC20 Cielo Fuoriserie by Hiroshi Fujiwara have been conceived, one in Nero Vulcano color with Fragment’s badge in matte black and one in Bianco Audace color with Fragment’s badge in matte white. Inside, it features 6-way power sport seats in black full leather with white stitching. The unmistakable Trident is embroidered on the headrests, and the sport steering wheel is in black Alcantara with white stitching. An exclusive metal plate celebrating the collaboration between Maserati and Hiroshi Fujiwara is applied between the two headrests.

The MC20 Cielo is a one-of-a-kind car that can deliver the performance of a true super sports car, together with a holistic and immersive driving pleasure the like of which has never been seen before. Produced at the historic plant in Modena, MC20 Cielo is equipped with the powerful F1-derived V6 Nettuno engine, and it offers a perfect mix of sportiness and luxury, thanks to an innovative and unique retractable smart glass roof, which can instantly be transformed from clear to opaque at the touch of a button.

Fuoriserie means ‘out of the ordinary’ in Italian, and our Trident’s customization program is conceived to create extraordinary experiences for our clients.  Our wish here is for them to express their personality and passion by creating their very own Maserati. Just like Hiroshi, everyone can choose from a wide range of personalization features from our Fuoriserie collections or take more individual journeys to design true one-of-a-kind rolling sculptures,” said Klaus Busse, Head of Design of Maserati.

Both Fuoriserie By Hiroshi Fujiwara configurations are now available upon request on the MC20 Cielo super sports car, combining performance, sportiness and luxury to its racing soul.

  • Modena MA-01 Reimagines Maserati Biturbo Shamal

Modena MA-01 Reimagines Maserati Biturbo Shamal

One of the most interesting aspects of the whole automotive remastering segment is the notion of improving upon considerable flaws of the past. Admittedly, there is a segment of cars that were beautifully designed, perhaps even potently fast, but nevertheless flawed by unreliability. Such is the case of the Maserati Biturbo and pinnacle Shamal, cars that create lustful thoughts until reality sets in. Righting those mechanical wrongs can be an epiphany, and that’s what the shot the Modena MA-01 is calling, a shot that’ll set you back about a half million Euros.

Modena Automobili was established in 2022 with the mission to reimagine “an iconic masterpiece of the nineties into a unique, modern, beautiful and fast car of our times.” Their first product is Project MA-01, and a this stage appears to be a computer rendering. Modena Automobili shares that it is a “work in progress”, they are “bringing forward with the help of top notch engineering companies and automotive industry experts on top of Modena Automobili internal team of passionate managers, entrepreneurs, experts of style, powertrain, mechanics, homologation and pilots.” That project is the creation of a Maserati Biturbo Shamal restored.

For those unfamiliar, the Shamal was built from 1990-1996. It was one of the final cars produced by Maserati before Fiat took over the marque in 1993. Only 369 Shamals were produced, and it was the pinnacle of the Biturbo range, a product that actually began further back in 1982.

Using the shell from a donor Biturbo, Modena Automobili builds from there using a more modern Maserati Ghibili S engine (tuned to 500 bhp) as well as the Ghibli’s 8-speed ZF transmission. Modena Automobili reports this configuration is capable of 0-62 mph in 5.0 seconds and a maximum speed of 180 mph.

The design does take more liberties than we typically see in the restomod segment, particularly at the rear with its wrap-over C-pillar. Ducts added to the hood and wheel arch blisters, as well as exposed carbon fiber around LED lights all modernize the car considerably… though traditionalists might question how much modernization is needed. With restomods, this is always a balance and, on that scale, Modena Automobili pushes that envelope with the MA-01.

  • European Market Find: Incredible Spec / Condition Tax Dodge Maserati Merak 2000 GT

European Market Find: Incredible Spec / Condition Tax Dodge Maserati Merak 2000 GT

We’re pushing the boundaries with this particular market find. We suspect it’s a specification straight out of the 1981 order book. We can’t confirm the color name or code. And, it’s in Europe, meaning our primarily North American audience would have to import it. Luckily enough, its 1981 model year makes it an easy import. Its excellent specification and remarkably preserved condition also makes it easy on the eyes.

For those not familiar with the Maserati Merak, it’s a mid-engine Italian sportscar from the 1970s and into the 1980s, a halcyon era of that genre. Penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro, it has all of the exotic feel of more known 70s/80s mid-engine Italian offerings from Ferrari or Lamborghini, but we’d argue it’s just as exotic a look… especially when built to an exquisite specification.

Regarding specification, drivetrain may be arguably not exotic in 2000 GT form. Maserati launched the 2000 GT in 1977 almost exclusively for the Italian market. The Merak 2000 GT was built to avoid Italian customers from being penalized with a Value Added Tax (VAT) of 19% for any cars over 2-liters of displacement. That tax was deflating enough to Italian car manufacturer sales that brands began to specially make 2-liter examples of their entry-level models. Ferrari launched its 208 GTB, Lamborghini introduced the Urraco P200 and Maserati added the Merak 2000 GT.

Unlike today where Maserati and Ferrari can largely pull from the same corporate parts bin, the brand was owned by Citroën at that time. In as much, Maserati developers turned to the French manufacturer to source a workable engine, and for this it replaced the Merak SS’s 2.9-liter V6 derived from Citroën SM’s 2.7-liter V6 with a smaller 2.0-liter V6 also from the SM.

Visually, the 2000 GT is most easily identified for its black side stripes that run horizontally down the mid-section of the body. Over time, a lot of 2000 GTs had their stripes removed to look higher dollar, though its likely that cars still sporting the original stripes as this one does are probably worth more today.

The Merak 2000 GT was offered in just two colors, a metallic blue or this other metallic that is often referred to as “gold”, though we’d argue is a bit more of a light brown. We’re not 100% sure of the name though as we were unable to dig up any confirmation of the paint colors or codes, despite ample searching and the dealer’s own detailed listing. If you know the color or code, drop us a note in the comments below.

Whatever the case of the name, the look of the color is very unique. Browns were popular in that time period though typically fell out of vogue, and certainly weren’t the more usual reds or blues the mass market tends to prefer. In our eyes, that makes it more unique, and it also makes it incredibly paired with the particular highly preserved tartan interior of this car.

Inside, brown leather helps elevate the feel of quality of an era of dashboard and center console that’s not always the most robust. Here, it looks well-kept and well-paired with tan fabric seats and brown and tan tartan seat centers. Whereas the 2000 GT may not be the most preferable drivetrain, this interior makes this car incredibly attractive despite its power deficiencies.

This Merak 200 GT is listed for sale at Gallery Aaldering in Brummen, NL. Yes, that means you’ll have to import it if you want it. It’s logged just 14,925 km (9,273 miles), so it’s practically new by that count.

GranCabrio Folgore and the TRIDENTE powerboat are the 100% electric leading lights
from the Modena-based company at the event dedicated to maritime luxury.

Monaco – From 25 to 28 September, Maserati will be in the Principality of Monaco for the first time it is taking part in the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year for boating and luxury yacht enthusiasts.

Now in its 33rd edition, and organised under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the MYS is dedicated to those who love to experience the sea in style, without sacrificing luxury, comfort, elegance and innovation, in search of the latest trends in the maritime market – for rent and for sale – and enriched by the presence of the elite of builders, brokers and global specialists in the sector.

In the picturesque bay of Port Hercule, an audience of over 560 exhibitors have made room to welcome the international public of experts and enthusiasts for pleasure boating, surrounded by the truly unique atmosphere of the most glamorous resort on the Côte d’Azur.

In this exclusive setting alongside a fleet of over 120 superyachts and the best of the most luxurious tenders, Maserati has chosen to stand out with two of its most recent and innovative creations. The TRIDENTE powerboat is the result of the collaboration between the Modena-based company and Vita Power, a sophisticated marine technology outfit engaged in the development and production of high-performance all-electric powertrains and yachts; GranCabrio Folgore is the first 100% electric convertible on the market in the luxury segment, based on 800-V technology and developed with cutting-edge technical solutions that combine outstanding performance with the design and elegance typical of the Trident.

With TRIDENTE, Maserati is writing a new chapter in its history on the water. The 10.5-metre powerboat – with a maximum output of 600 hp and a battery capacity of 252 kWh – boasts a cruising speed of 25 knots, a top speed of 40 knots and charges up on direct current in under an hour.
The day boat, which can accommodate up to 10 passengers, is made of carbon fibre, finished to the highest creative standards by the nautical artisans at Hodgdon Yachts, a US boatbuilder from Maine with a history of over 200 years of passion and excellence, and a specialist in superyacht tenders.

At the Maserati stand at MYS 2024, TRIDENTE is flanked by a GranCabrio Folgore with Rose Gold bodywork, Titan Grey canvas soft top and ECONYL® Denim and Ice interior.

The new model, presented in April 2024, has already become a style icon and the perfect interpreter of the purest performance thanks to refined details such as the retractable soft top, to enjoy the best open-air experience, space for four true seats with the comfort required even for long journeys, and 800-V technology for outstanding performance, provided by the three powerful 300-kW permanent magnet motors.

In this creation that symbolises Italian elegance on four wheels, luxury and performance come together in a car that can reach 290 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8″, ensuring refined power, comfort without sacrificing the sportiest driving fun, and the latest generation technology. Everything in the GranCabrio Folgore is also designed to optimise the maximum range that can be achieved – from drive modes to specific parameters and energy-saving strategies – and improve the efficiency of the vehicle, which can boast a range of 447 km (WLTP cycle).

  • Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello takes over the stage at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille

Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello takes over the stage at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille

Modena, Italy – From Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 September, Maserati made its first appearance at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, the prestigious French event that since 2014 has brought together the best of automotive and haute couture in the elegant and historic setting of the Domaine du Château de Chantilly (Oise).

    [source: Maserati]

The leading light for the Trident was the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, created as a result of the tailor-made experience of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme. The first 100% electric luxury cabriolet is inspired by the history and powerful character of the renowned Italian wines produced by Marchesi Antinori, one of the oldest and most illustrious winemaking families in Italy, which reflects the same passion and the strong values of tradition and innovation that have always characterised the spirit of Maserati.

GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is a unique model made specially for the 50th anniversary of Tignanello, an event at which the car was unveiled in person for the first time at Chantilly, to follow its presentation in July at Festival Napa Valley, California.

Having gone under the hammer at the 2024 Arts for All Gala, one of the most important arts and education charity events in the US, held during the festival, GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello stopped off in Europe to catch the eye of the audience of connoisseurs and enthusiasts attending Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille: a perfect setting to celebrate all the uniqueness and refined customisation of one of the Modena-based marque’s most exclusive creations.

Designed and built in collaboration with Marchesi Antinori, the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is a reflection of the most advanced craftsmanship, luxury and all the elegance that has long distinguished the Trident’s cars, with their ability to leverage both the tradition and the futuristic vision of the Italian brand’s production.

At Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, Maserati welcomed its guests and the public to Terrazza Italiana by Giorgetti, a historic design company founded in Meda in 1898 and an outstanding figure in artisan carpentry made in Italy. Specifically for the event, it worked with the Trident to kit out the spaces with a selection of its outdoor collection; GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello caught the eye of the crowd intent on admiring the great panoply of classic and modern cars from the best-known and most beloved luxury brands.

During the event, journalists and selected Maserati guests also took part in a dedicated test drive session in the latest innovations in the Trident range – GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo and Folgore, MC20 Cielo and Grecale Folgore – and participated in a special wine tasting with experts from Marchesi Antinori.

The moment the attendees at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille were all waiting for was undoubtedly the Concours d’Etat, which brought together 100 extraordinary cars and the greatest collectors from all over the world. Various classic Maseratis belonging to private collectors were also competing: Maserati A6G54 built by Frua and Zagato, Maserati 5000GT, Maserati Quattroporte, Maserati 5000GT (Kidston Collection).

Giovanni Perosino, Maserati Chief Marketing & Communication Officer: “Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello’s presence at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille is a big moment for us to celebrate the prestigious collaboration with Marchesi Antinori once again after the debut of this wonderful creation in the United States. It is an exclusive car, tailor-made and inspired by tradition, innovation and artisanship 100% made in Italy. GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is the best way to set out the brand’s luxury image and epitomises the bespoke production of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation personalisation programme, for our customers to create the car of their dreams: unique models with the ability to combine unmistakable design, extraordinary performance, luxury and prestigious materials, and the most extreme and refined creativity. This car is the greatest interpretation of the brand’s identity and of a DNA that has always been devoted to innovation, looking ahead into the future and defining the concept of ‘Italian luxury’ around the world”.

Monterey, CA – Its name is Maserati GT2 Stradalethe new super sports car by Maserati receiving its world premiere at the 2024 Monterey Car Week in California.

On Friday 16 August, the car was unveiled to the public gathered for the unmissable annual event in the renowned US resort, in the prestigious setting of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, the highlight of the motorsport week dedicated to connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

Maserati GT2 Stradale is an ode to the most extraordinary and exclusive sportiness, the result of a technical and stylistic partnership between the Maserati GT2, a masterpiece of performance created for the brand’s return to GT competitions, and Maserati MC20, an iconic Trident car imbued with an unmistakable style.

Starting from an already excellent basis, Maserati has developed a car that can combine the best of the brand’s racing and mass production, transferring the hallmarks of the track model and ensuring a further evolution of its most beloved super sports car.

The Maserati GT2 Stradale combines in-depth technology transfer of the purest performance, typical of a racing car, combined with the intrinsic qualities of the MC20. The new super sports car thus evokes style and racing performance, while ensuring an ideal feeling and comfort in all conditions of use, without sacrificing the best driving experience on the road, typical of Maserati’s offering.

With a top speed of over 320 km/h, maximum output increased to 640 hp (10 hp more than the MC20), a weight decreased by 60 kg and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 secondsMaserati GT2 Stradale promises unparalleled sensations and superior performance, partly thanks to its sophisticated aerodynamics and attractive design inherited from its racing sibling.
At the wheel, the feeling will be one of driving one of the most incredible track cars there is, with the opportunity to make the best of it on roads all over the world.

The leading features of Maserati GT2 Stradale are the wide range of options, the opportunities for customisation with packages dedicated to improving performance, the quest for a bolder aggressive aesthetic, the exclusive Fuoriserie content, and the specific configurations (availability varies between markets).

Davide Grasso, Maserati CEO“Maserati GT2 Stradale is a unique product, bringing together as it does the brand’s greatest sporting heritage, and at the same time representing evolution of one of Maserati’s most iconic vehicles, the MC20 halo car. This model intended for everyday driving was created based on the desire to offer our customers more and more in terms of technical mastery, innovation, design and emotions in road driving: on the one hand, we find sophisticated solutions reserved for models designed for track use only, the epitome of Maserati’s racing DNA; on the other, we can guarantee optimal comfort paired with all the most advanced driver assistance systems. Maserati GT2 Stradale is a product that can fulfil the requirements of the most discerning enthusiasts, a new creation that expresses the brand’s entire essence.”

At the world premiere of the Maserati GT2 Stradale at The Quail, two other spectacular Trident cars were also present: MC20 Icona, making its North American debut, and MCXtrema, featuring at Laguna Seca in an event dedicated to the delivery of the first model of Maserati’s ‘beast’ on the track.

Unveiled in June this year, the MC20 Icona is a special series created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand’s return to the track in the GT championships, with the unforgettable and victorious MC12. Produced in a limited edition of 20 units, in its characteristic Bianco Audace Matte and Blu Stradale livery, the MC20 Icona is a tribute to a Maserati of the past beloved by fans of production cars with a competitive nature, the 2004 MC12 Stradale: with the 12-cylinder Ferrari-derived engine, it represented Maserati in its most extreme performance form and was created specifically for type approval in international GT competitions.

In 2024, MCXtrema is back on stage at The Quail to follow its 2023 world premiere and is preparing for another exclusive event to mark the delivery of the first of the 62 models produced worldwide – on 18 August at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Made and type-approved for track use only, with its 730 hp of power and bold, refined design, MCXtrema was immediately conceived as an unconventional product: a super sports car dedicated to a selected clientele that is extremely discerning in terms of performance and technical excellence. Maserati MCXtrema is now the Italian brand’s most powerful track car, an exciting vehicle car from all points of view that is destined to dictate the pace of Maserati’s future, elevating its racing spirit.
