Copper CEO Penni Thow served as executive producer.

Special model in the livery of the movie’s fictional Formula 1® team
The “APXGP Edition,” strictly limited to just 52 vehicles globally, is closely based on the movie and showcases a special APXGP Edition paint finish. Numerous APXGP-specific designs have been painstakingly applied by hand based on the F1® film car’s paintwork. Amongst others, Race Gold accents can be seen on the surround of the AMG-specific radiator grille, front fenders (with checkered flag design), side sills, rear apron and rear diffuser blade.
The 21-inch AMG Forged Cross-Spoke wheels are also painted in matte Race Gold. The black brake calipers of the AMG High Performance Carbon Ceramic Brake System with six-piston fixed calipers at the front and one-piston floating calipers at the rear provide a powerful contrast.
The AMG Carbon Fiber package with front splitter, side sill trims, rear diffuser, and in conjunction with the AMG Aerodynamics package, a fixed rear wing on the trunk lid in high quality carbon fiber emphasizes the connection to motorsport. The AMG Extended Night Package also enhances the unique exterior of the “APXGP Edition” with elements finished in black chrome including radiator grille, AMG crest, model badging and Mercedes star at the rear of the vehicle. An AMG fuel filler cap in silver chrome with AMG lettering further emphasizes the vehicle’s sporty character.
Numerous exclusive details in Race Gold are also highlighted throughout the interior. The AMG Performance seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather/microfiber and customized with gold contrast stitching. The AMG trim elements in carbon fiber with gold-colored threads compliment the heated AMG Performance steering wheel in microfiber with black 12 o’clock markings and gold stitching. This contrast stitching also extends to the door panels, instrument panel and center armrest. The MANUFAKTUR door sill trims with AMG lettering are anodized black and with gold illumination. The AMG floor mats feature a leather insert embroidered with the “APXGP” logo in Race Gold. The “Limited Edition 1 of 52” badge in the center console underscores the exclusivity of the special model.
The Burmester® High-End 3D Surround Sound System with 15 speakers and 1,170-watt system output is included among the edition’s extensive equipment. AMG TRACK PACE captures a wealth of data when driving on the racetrack. A lift system on the front axle can be used to raise the vehicle for additional clearance over speed bumps and steep driveways.
Each AMG GT 63 “APXGP Edition” also includes a custom, edition-specific AMG Indoor Car Cover with a breathable outer skin made of tear-resistant synthetic fiber fabric and an antistatic inner fabric made of flannel.

Affalterbach. With the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ (combined energy consumption 9.8‑9.3 l/100 km, combined CO2 emissions 223‑212 g/km, CO2 class: G) [1], AMG introduced a sporty-elegant masterpiece last year that quickly became one of the most popular models in the product portfolio. The vehicle, available as both a Coupé and a Cabriolet, is powered by an extensively modified 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine with double charging. The engine delivers 330 kW (449 hp) and offers a maximum torque of 560 Nm, with Overboost even reaching 600 Nm for a short period. Technical highlights such as the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ make the CLE an absolute dream car. This allows the vehicle to perform dynamically and agilely, creating a driving experience that perfectly harmonises with the expressive design of the series. Now, an exclusive “Limited Edition” makes the Coupé and Cabriolet even more desirable.
This “Limited Edition” is extensively equipped with numerous packages. In addition, parts are wrapped in a film with a large AMG logo and colour accents in yellow on the Coupé and black/blue on the Cabriolet. The Coupé is painted in matte MANUFAKTUR graphite grey magno while the Cabriolet also comes in a matte AMG exclusive MANUFAKTUR spectral blue magno.
The “Limited Edition” Coupé rolls on 20‑inch forged wheels in a distinctive cross-spoke design with yellow rim flanges, which are reserved for the edition. For the Cabriolet, polished 20‑inch light-alloy wheels are fitted.

In addition, there is a trim strip in the rear apron and the two twin tailpipe trims of the AMG exhaust system. Heat-insulating dark-tinted windows after the B‑pillars round off the package.
AMG Night Package II (Coupé exclusive) High-quality design details in dark chrome also make the edition an eye-catcher. These include an AMG‑specific radiator grille, struts in the air intake and the typography on the front wings and at the rear.
AMG Styling Package (Coupé exclusive) Numerous elements in high-gloss black combine with the dark details of the Night package to create an expressive overall look. What: 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon Color:Designo Brilliant Blue Magno(designobriliantblaumagno; metallic matte; 644; Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR) VIN: W1KZH8KB5MA905031 Mileage: 25,000 miles High Bid as of this Writing: $75,000 with 3 Days Left CarFax: after link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Washington, DC Link: Cars & Bids
If you’re a fan of fast wagons, then the S213-generation Mercedes-AMG E 63 S needs no introduction. Now, pair in special paint like Designo Brilliant Blue Magno and you have both something very special and something enjoyably tailored.
For added flair, this car’s yellow contrast stitching moves it even further into tailored territory.
In a lot of ways, the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon you see here may represent the trifecta – at least by your measure.
For starters, though notably more expensive than most other SUVs on the market, the block-shaped G-wagon from Mercedes-Benz represents all things geometrically good about the 1980s yet underpins that with modern tech.
Next up, so-called “Monoblock” alloys have been associated with AMG since long before Mercedes-Benz even purchased the fabled Mercedes tuner and reconfigured it to be the brand’s in-house performance sub-brand. The look is consistently a wide and heavy-faced rim with five relatively short spokes around the outer perimeter. Monoblocks reappeared on the G-wagon a few years ago and rich history helps bestow them with a “just right” sort of feeling. Add in black finish on a black optics car for extra points.
Now, about that paint. Should you click over to the G 63 configurator (found HERE), you’ll find twelve standard colors on the G 63 and 25 more pre-approved MANUFAKTUR special colors. Among them is China Blue, a light non-metallic pastel blue that dates back to the 70s and, we’d argue, looks timeless on a timeless design like the G-wagon.
Also worth noting, the interior on this G is Macchiato Beige Leather with Black Leather accents.
So, in our opinion, this particular G being listed by a private party in South Carolina is the trifecta. If you agree, check it out via the Facebook marketplace link above.
What: 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Color: Mercedes-Benz Lapis Blue Metallic (lapisblau; non-metallic Uni; 945U; Mercedes-Benz) VIN: WDB2020331F827875 Mileage: 111,776 km, 69,454 miles Price Estimate: $60,000 to $80,000 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Gooding & Company Amelia Island Auction 2025, Amelia Island, FL Listing: Link
During the era Mercedes-Benz was producing its first-generation W202 C-Class, special paint colors were less common than the more apparent MANUFAKTUR presence today. Bold colors like the Lapis Blue shade shown here were even less common, except perhaps in Europe where home market offerings were a bit more fanciful.
When it comes to the W202 C43 AMG, only 3,085 of the cars were produced at all. This was the early Mercedes-owned AMG era, and the cars were made worthy of the badge by Stuttgart fitting its 4,266 cc DOHC V8 engine good for 302 hp paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission…. not to mention all the expected braking and suspension upgrades. These cars are often most easily spotted for their subtle bodywork upgrades and more obvious 17-inch Monoblock wheels.
These cars are just becoming classics given their relative production years, not to mention the resurgence of the so-called “rad era”. They’re even more special when you see it’s a rare-at-the-time special order paint in a color as bold as this Lapis Blue hue. Worth noting, there’s a more commonly found Lapis Blue Metallic from Mercedes that is considerably darker.
In period, this C43 was a competitor to the BMW M3 or Audi S4, so you have to wonder the thinking of the buyer who dreamed up this particular specification. As it turns out, the car was ordered via the Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart dealership. That’s literally ground zero when it comes to Mercedes-Benz home town, where Mercedes clientele probably don’t get any more savvy. You have to figure too that the owner of such a car wouldn’t want to be missed by Audi or BMW drivers (much less the Porsche types) while blasting down the unlimited speed zones of the A8 Autobahn between Stuttgart and Münich.
We can draw conclusions, but whatever that buyer was thinking, he or she appears to be the only one thinking of it. This car is believed to be one of one, the only W202 C43 built in that particular bold Sonderlackierung (special-order) shade of Lapis Blue. Inside, that blue was paired with Graphite / Anthracite AMG leather upholstery (code 581A). It’s also reportedly got a long list of factory options.
The car spent most of its life registered in Germany, remaining well-maintained, well-preserved and highly original without any modifications. To prove this, the offering includes documented owner history, the Mercedes-Benz factory data card, associated books and AMG Classic Conversion Certificate.

Mercedes-AMG presents the new 2025 AMG SL 63 MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast. Limited to 100 units globally, the special edition roadster arrives at select U.S. dealerships beginning in February 2025. The exclusive model is crafted by the MANUFAKTUR individualization program, which offers customers the highest possible individuality and exclusivity with exquisite details and distinctive finishes.
The AMG SL 63 MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast is finished in MANUFAKTUR Kalahari Gold Magno, reminiscent of gleaming golden sand beaches. The striking paint is complimented by 21-inch AMG Forged Cross-Spoke wheels in black with MANUFAKTUR Kalahari Gold Magno rim flanges. Black AMG brake calipers with white AMG logos further highlight the vehicle’s special status.
The AMG Night Package, AMG Extended Night Package and AMG Aerodynamics Package are among the extensive standard equipment and feature contrasting exterior elements. This includes a front splitter, A-Wing trim, exterior mirror caps, side sills and rear accents in gloss black, among other elements. Additionally, the radiator grille, as well as twin tailpipe trims, model badge and Mercedes star at the rear of the vehicle are finished in black chrome.
Elegant details are also highlighted in the interior of the special edition model. Standard AMG Performance seats are covered in hand-stitched black Nappa leather with intricate diamond stitching in gold. This gold contrast stitching extends throughout the cabin, including to the AMG Performance steering wheel, armrest, center door panels and instrument panel. MANUFAKTUR high-pile floor mats with black Nappa leather piping, an embroidered AMG logo and contrast stitching in gold also underscore the superb attention to detail. Unique MANUFAKTUR Kalahari Gold Magno trim elements on the seats, doors panels and center console further accent the interior. A “MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast” badge adorns the center console door, emphasizing the exclusivity of the special model.
A Handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine powers the AMG SL 63 MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast, producing 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. An AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9G transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive enable acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

If Green Hell Magno looks right at home on the AMG GT R from Mercedes-AMG, that’s because it was created to celebrate the car. You see, the AMG GTR spent most of its development time on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschliefe circuit (a.k.a. the “Green Hell”).
Likely the color comes from the green forest that surround the historic Norschliefe, and certainly they inspired the name in the track’s nickname. The other part of that name, “Magno”, is Mercedes-Benz speak for matte paint finish. In the end, it’s likely the most striking (and fitting) of the colors offered on the AMG GT R.

Why we love it:
Cars like this S213 E 63 Estate are next level on the if-you-know-you-know factor. Some will scratch their heads over the idea of spending money on a custom order (a.k.a. “PA1” inside Mercedes) and then choose a subtle color like a grey tone. We see that as the signature of a connoisseur though, not needing to be noticed by everyone. It goes further though. This isn’t just any grey, but Porsche’s Graphite Blue Metallic, meaning you have to be a specific level of brand color aficionado to pick up on what’s going on with this long roof.
Or… maybe it’s much simpler than that. Maybe the original owner just wanted to match his Porsche. Whatever the case, we love this car shared by @designomanufaktur via @winglessGT3 on Instagram.
The car’s got other sought-after options too including carbon ceramic brakes, AMG Night Package, Acoustic Comfort Package, Multibeam, 20-inch twin 5-spoke AMG wheels with black accents, and (a nod to autobahn burners of the past) it’s debadged.
Check out more via the dealer’s listing, and frankly even more as identified by Mercedes experts including @wongnathan01 via the @designomanufaktur Instagram post embedded above.
Radical design concept to kick off the Mythos series
Commemorates the design language of legendary racing cars
Intensive driving experience for two people
Strictly limited, extensive equipment
[source: Mercedes-Benz]
Affalterbach/Abu Dhabi — As the first model in the strictly limited Mercedes-Benz Mythos series, the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed (combined energy consumption: 13.7 l/100 km | combined CO₂ emissions: 312 g/km | CO₂ class: G)1 is celebrating its world premiere at the Formula 1™ Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The uncompromising realisation of a fully open, two-seater performance car with no roof or windscreen is a tribute to racing and offers an unforgettable driving experience.
“The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is the most direct way to experience performance and fun at the wheel. Thanks to the car’s radically open design with no roof or windscreen, nothing separates the driver and passenger from the elements, allowing them to fully appreciate the vehicle, the road and the landscape with all their senses. The striking design reinterprets elements of legendary racing cars and makes for a fascinating, timeless silhouette. In this way, the PureSpeed bundles the traditional strengths of AMG: highly emotional and very high performance vehicles that inspire – at a glance and behind the wheel.” Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH and Head of Business Units Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Mercedes-Maybach
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed celebrates Mercedes-Benz’s tradition in motorsport with its thrilling racing car design, innovative materials and modern technology. The exclusive small series is strictly limited to 250 models.
Sports car design inspired by Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar The design of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is characterised by a combination of a low silhouette, a long bonnet and a very low front end with a distinctive shark nose. With its wide air intake, AMG lettering and a dark, chrome-plated Mercedes star on the soft nose, the front resembles the Mercedes-AMG ONE. In addition, the car features an aerodynamically optimised bonnet. The aerodynamics team’s extensive precision work is also evident in the small, partially transparent deflectors on the car’s front and sides, which keep turbulence from bothering the driver and passenger. Aerodynamic, sharply defined visible carbon fibre elements in the lower part of the car make for a strong contrast to the sensual, round shapes of its upper part. The boot lid and rear diffuser are also aerodynamically optimised. Their design takes the lack of a roof into account.
The design of the 21-inch forged aluminium wheels is characterised by carbon fibre covers on the front and rear axles. The rear covers are fully closed for less air resistance. The front covers are open to optimise front end airflow and brake cooling. The front features 275/35 R 21 tyres on 9.5 J x 21-inch rims; the rear uses 305/30 R 21 tyres on 11.0 J x 21-inch rims.
The design team’s precision work can also be seen in the side sill trim with aero flics. The muscular shoulders above the wide-track rear wheels merge into the elegant boot lid and the wide rear apron.
HALO system in place of A-pillar Another highlight is the HALO system, which the car uses instead of the conventional A-pillar. This element was inspired by the premier class of motorsport and has been part of every Formula 1™ vehicle since 2018. It protects the driver’s head in the event of an accident. The safety system in the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed consists of a robust tubular steel bracket. The bifurcated safety feature is firmly attached to the car’s shell structure. The aerodynamically optimised component protects both passengers; as such, it bifurcates behind the car’s occupants. The roll-over protection system also features two rigid roll bars that are concealed beneath the aerodynamic scoops. These components are also part of the shell structure. As one interesting detail, HALO is indirectly lit at the bottom by narrow LED strips, taking ambient lighting to a new level.
There are also two aerodynamically optimised helmets designed and manufactured specifically for the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed. They come in the colour of the car and have an intercom communication system. The helmets allow the driver and passenger to communicate clearly, even at high speeds. As an additional feature, smartphones can be paired with the intercom system, allowing the driver and passenger to talk on the phone and listen to music through the helmets’ speakers.
A tribute to legendary Mercedes models Many other features are also a tribute to motorsport. The two scoops behind the seats bear the AMG emblem and are reminiscent of legendary racing cars such as the 300 SLR, the car that Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson drove to victory at the 1955 Mille Miglia (a 1,000-mile race) in Italy. Fittingly, the PureSpeed comes in an exclusive Silver Arrow finish in mystic silver magno.
The optional motorsport styling package offers finishes that range from Le Mans red to graphite grey with a black AMG pattern. The latter is a tribute to the colour of the Mercedes that won the Targa Florio race in Sicily exactly 100 years ago. The car was finished in red, a colour only used by Italian manufacturers at the time.
German racing cars, on the other hand, were traditionally white. The red finish was intended to prevent Italian motorsport tifosi from trying to obstruct the German car. The plan worked: With Christian Werner at the wheel, the Mercedes 2-litre racing car with the number 10 was the first to cross the finish line. To commemorate this victory 100 years ago, the motorsport styling package features a ‘10’ on the front wing.
Two-tone colour and equipment concept With its classic two-tone colour and equipment concept in crystal white/black, the interior adds additional highlights. AMG Performance seats with special leather covers and unique decorative stitching offer optimal lateral support in addition to exclusive optics. Their design with flowing lines is inspired by the air that flows around the car. The heated multicontour seats increase the comfort level. The area behind the seats features carbon fibre. Integrated leather pads on the back continue the seats’ flowing lines, while the deep-pile AMG floor mats echo the seats’ colour, design and decorative stitching. The door sill trim also comes upholstered in leather. The AMG Performance steering wheel systematically continues the two-tone interior concept.
Another interior highlight is the custom-made analogue clock designed by IWC Schaffhausen. It is prominently placed in the middle of the dashboard in a drop-shaped housing in glossy black on a base made of visible carbon fibre. The base of the clock features a sophisticated design that makes the clock appear to float. The premium chronometer has a PureSpeed specific dial with AMG rhombi. For optimum visibility, the dial is illuminated at dusk and in the dark. The characteristic bezel underscores the visual affinity with the legendary IWC Ingenieur Collection. The Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System with 15 speakers and 1,170 watts of system power make for an authentic sound experience similar to a summer open air festival. A badge in the centre console reads ‘1 out of 250’ to indicate the model is part of the strictly limited Mythos series.
To protect the car from inclement weather such as rain or storms when parked, a protective weather cover is available as standard. It is stretched over the interior, including the HALO, and fastened to the wheel arches in the traditional way. Each customer also receives a custom-made, PureSpeed specific AMG indoor car cover. With a breathable outer skin of tear-resistant synthetic fibres and an anti-static inner fabric of flannel, it protects the car from dust and scratches in the garage.
Body shell: AMG sports car architecture with composite aluminium structure The PureSpeed is based on Mercedes-AMG’s sports car architecture. The chassis consists of an aluminium space frame with a self-supporting structure. This design ensures maximum rigidity, providing the perfect foundation for precise driving dynamics and sporty body proportions. The intelligent material mix reduces its weight. Materials used include aluminium, magnesium, fibre composites and steel. There are also carbon fibre parts for the aero elements at the front and rear aprons as well as the side sill and the trim behind the seats.
Sophisticated aerodynamics for unadulterated fun at the wheel The car features a host of active aerodynamic elements, such as the extendible rear spoiler, which is seamlessly integrated into the boot lid. It changes its position depending on driving conditions. The control software takes numerous parameters into account, including driving speed, longitudinal and lateral acceleration and steering speed. The spoiler adopts five different angles at speeds above 80 km/h, allowing it to optimise driving stability or reduce drag, depending on its position.
The active aerodynamic element concealed in the underbody in front of the engine also contributes to safe and dynamic handling. Weighing around two kilograms, this carbon fibre profile reacts to the AMG driving modes, automatically lowering it by approximately 40 millimetres at speeds above 80 km/h. This creates what is known as the Venturi effect, which additionally sucks the car to the road surface and reduces the lift on the front axle. The driver feels this effect directly in the steering, as it allows the PureSpeed to be steered even more precisely around corners and lends the car even more lane stability.
Similar to the AMG GT 63 PRO, the underbody also features aerodynamic add-on elements that compensate for the lack of a roof and improve downforce. The lift system on the front axle is used to raise the PureSpeed before going over bumps or kerbs.
Powerful and sonorous: AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine The AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine with 430 kW (585 PS) of maximum power and 800 Nm of maximum torque provides dynamic propulsion and excellent driving performance. Combined with the special design concept of the PureSpeed, this creates a uniquely exciting driving experience, because the radically open design makes even lower speeds feel subjectively much faster. But the objective figures are impressive as well: the car goes from zero to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 315 km/h. Then there is the legendary AMG V8 engine sound, which can be felt even more directly in the PureSpeed.
Transmission with wet starting clutch The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission combines an emotional shifting experience with extremely short shifting times. A wet starting clutch replaces the torque converter. It reduces the car’s weight and, thanks to its lower mass inertia, optimises the response to accelerator commands, particularly during sprinting and load changes.
Greater traction and driving stability: Fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ The PureSpeed comes with the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The intelligent system combines the advantages of different drive concepts: Fully variable torque distribution between the front and rear axles ensures optimal traction at the physical limit, as well as high driving stability and safety in all conditions.
Suspension and brakes: Semi-active roll stabilisation and optimal deceleration The innovative AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with semi-active hydraulic roll stabilisation makes for optimum road contact. Instead of conventional mechanical lateral stabilisers, the system uses active hydraulic elements that compensate for rolling movements in fractions of a second. The system enables optimum steering and load-changing behaviour with AMG-typical handling including dynamics, precision and driver feedback. At the same time, it increases driving comfort when driving straight ahead and when driving over bumps. The wide-track rear axle increases agility, which is particularly noticeable on winding country roads.
The standard AMG high-performance ceramic composite braking system ensures excellent deceleration values and precise control. It impresses with short braking distances, sensitive response and high stability – even under extreme loads. The 6-piston fixed brake callipers at the front and 1-piston floating callipers at the rear come in black with white AMG logos.
Active rear-axle steering: Combining agility and stability The PureSpeed is equipped with active rear-axle steering. Depending on the speed, the rear wheels either turn in the opposite direction (below 100 km/h) or in the same direction (above 100 km/h) as the front wheels. The system provides both agile and stable handling – characteristics that would be at odds without rear-axle steering. Other benefits include easier vehicle control at the limit and less steering effort due to the more direct steering ratio at the front.
