Why we love it:
If you’re into wagons in a very different colors that will command a ton of attention, skip the line for Audi exclusive and head to Kearns Motor Cars in Wisconsin for this MY2024 Audi RS 6 Avant performance. Painted Berry Pearl Effect, it’s a very noticeable deep pink in the vein of a Porsche Ruby Star, but pearlescent so appearing at a depth that Ruby Star just doesn’t do.
Other options including interior in black with black stitching, Dynamic Package, Carbon Matte Optics Package, Dynamic Ride Control Suspension, 22-inch Y-spoke wheels, Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system and Leather Package.
What: 2024 Porsche 718 Spyder RS Color:Porsche Paint to Sample Smyrna Green (smyrnagrün; non-metallic UNI; Z33; Porsche) VIN: WP0CE2A84RK240166 Mileage: 1,578 Price at Time of this Writing: $239,878 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: St. Louis, MO Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
We’re seeing quite the resurgence in Porsche’s Paint to Sample Smyrna Green, and to be honest, we don’t hate it. In this instance, we can clearly see the lineage between the 356 that Porsche first applied Smyrna to, and the 718 Spyder RS, and we’ve never been shy about loving a tribute. Showing just 1,578 miles, this Spyder RS has completed it’s break in period, which means you can properly cane it as well without fear. Let’s take this opportunity to thank the original Tailor, not just for the color choice, but for also getting the boring stuff out of the way as they flip their way to whatever allocation is next.
What: 2024 Porsche Carrera S Color: Porsche Paint to Sample Aubergine (aubergine; non-metallic UNI; 025; Porsche) VIN: WP0AB2A93RS221858 Mileage: 660 Price at Time of this Writing: $239,995 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: Link Location: Glen Cove, NY Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
Paint to Sample offers an incredibly wide array of colors, yet somehow we really only ever see the same 15-20. So when a great vintage-inspired build like the one represented by this Tailored Driver shows up in our searches, it provides perhaps a bit more excitement than we’d care to admit. Porsche Paint to Sample Aubergine is decidedly a heritage play having been available on 70’s 911 models, and hounds tooth inserts on the seats and door cards do a nice job of continuing the theme. In all, we’d give it an A+ grade, and hope the next owner of this Tailored Driver actually uses it.
What: 2024 Porsche Cayenne S Color: Paint to Sample Dark Olive Metallic (dunkelolive metallic; M6X; 7G; Porsche) VIN: WP1AL2AY9RDA35572 Mileage: 1,488 Price at Time of this Writing: $139,991 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Seaside, CA Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
When it comes to a proper four-season do it all car, Porsche’s Cayenne is a pretty unbeatable option. This particular Cayenne S has the added benefit of wearing Paint to Sample Dark Olive Metallic paint, an incredibly rare shade that’s equal parts black and green depending on the light, with a vibrant metallic shine that really pops. As an added bonus, this Tailored Driver also sports brown seat belts, deviated stitching and a Race-Tex steering wheel, which really get us excited. Criminally subtle in the shade and a true stunner in the sunshine, we love the spec.
What: 2024 Porsche 911 Targa 4S Color: Paint to Sample Ipanema Blue Metallic (ipanemablau metallic; 3S2; F2; Porsche) VIN: WP0BB2A99RS234957 Mileage: 314 Price at Time of this Writing: $240,900 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Pompano Beach, FL Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
To put it simply, Porsche’s Paint to Sample Ipanema Blue Metallic is a color you just don’t see very often- if ever. The 911 Targa 4S represents an incredibly attractive package offering the best of both open and closed top worlds, although we acknowledge the neither coupe nor cab body style isn’t for everyone. This particular Tailored Driver does tug the heartstrings quite hard with it’s heritage-inspired take on a modern design, pairing Carrera Exclusive wheels, 930 package seats, and the 50’s era flair of Ipanema Blue Metallic.
What: 2024 Porsche Blue Cayenne Turbo GT Color:Porsche Paint to Sample Nogaro Blue (nogaroblau; pearl effect UNI; Z5M; Audi) VIN: WP1BK2AY2RDA72826 Mileage: 9,956 Price at Time of this Writing: $199,991 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Houston, TX Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
We’re suckers for Nogaro Blue, but this Tailored Driver in some ways brings it back to its roots. But rather than be an Audi massaged by Porsche like the RS 2 where Nogaro debuted, this is a Porsche with Audi’s 4.0TFSI slightly massaged by Stuttgart. Beyond the Nogaro Blue hue, this Cayenne Turbo GT tastefully restrained and incredibly well equipped. We struggle to think of a better, more capable runabout.
What: 2024 Bentley Continental GTC Speed Color: Bentley Mulliner Personal Red Violet Metallic (Code TBD) VIN: SCBDT4ZG8RC014369 Mileage: 508 Price at Time of this Writing: Auction CarFax:Link Window Sticker: Pictured below Location: Scottsdale, AZ Auction listing:Link
Why we love it:
This Tailored Driver is an incredibly big swing at individuality, and frankly we’re here for it. With a $462,680 original MSRP ($23,680 of it representing love it or hate it Red Violet Metallic paint by Mulliner), and enough Magenta inside and out to make Barbie blush, the original Tailor of this Continental GTC Speed certainly isn’t afraid to flaunt. They also seem to embody a “have fun, die smiling” mentality, frankly we’d love to shake their hand.
What: 2024 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet Color: Porsche Paint to Sample Albert Blue (albertblau; 325 / 1818 / 387; Porsche) VIN: WP0CD2A99RS257847 Mileage: 1,747 Price at Time of this Writing: $334,898 CarFax:Link MonroneyLabels.com Window Sticker: Link Location: St. Louis, MO Dealer listing:Porsche St Louis
Why we love it:
We see a lot of blue Porsches, and we even see a lot of Paint to Sample Porsches, but we don’t see a lot of Albert Blue Porsches. We also don’t see a lot of non-metallic dark and almost navy blue colors, making it even more unique. Albert Blue is believed to have first dropped in 1970 on the F-type “long hood” 911s, and specifying it as was done here is a great nod to a lesser known hue from the Porsche history books.
This 911 Turbo S Cabriolet continues its throwback nod on the inside where the Heritage Design Interior pairs black/semi-aniline pepita (a.k.a. houndstooth) fabric with rich cognac leather. There’s a long list of adds on this car as you’ll see via the link or the Monroney label listed above. The car’s also a enrolled in Porsche’s Certified Pre-Owned program, meaning extra piece of mind.
Another day, another tailored German car painted Porsche Smyrna Green (smyrnagrün; non-metallic UNI; Z33; Porsche). This time around, the car in question is a 2024 Paint to Sample 911 GT3 RS (Vin: WP0AF2A91RS272361) with just 91 miles on the odometer in the used inventory over at Aston Martin Boston.
Anyone following along with the Porsche market right now will know that unless you’ve logged a big back catalogue of Porsches purchased new, not to mention likely a watch or two, you probably won’t be getting an allotment for a car as sought after as the 911 GT3 RS, much less an allotment with Paint to Sample attached. Picking one up on the used market, albeit with a healthy markup, is probably the easiest way to procure a car right now. So, when a clearly thought-out example like this Paint to Sample Smyrna Green GT3 RS hits a dealer’s inventory, much less with effectively delivery miles on it, we definitely think it’s worth a second look if you have the means.
We found this car freshly dropped on AutoTrader, and reached out to the associated dealer – Aston Martin Boston. Their sales manager Jamie Ramirez got back to us almost immediately, confirming the color was Smyrna Green. Her team also confirmed the car is one of two Smyrna Green 992 GT3 RS sold to North America, and one of one with a Canadian VIN. Given it’s Canadian and for sale in the USA, we she also confirmed the car’s warranty has been transferred to the States. We sincerely appreciated the fast and thorough turnaround, so would suggest you seek her out should you reach out to them to inquire about the car. To that end, HERE is a link to the listing.
There are a lot of things we wonder when we see a car like this 2024 Porsche 911 Turbo S (Vin: WPOAD2A93RS253171) come onto the market. First and foremost, how could you order such a car with thoughtful Paint to Sample color choice of Brewster Green (brewstergrün; nonmetallic UNI; 22B; Porsche) and only log 300 miles. It seems like a travesty to have a car like this and not drive it, but maybe that indicates a flip. Whatever the case, it’s a good problem to have.
Here’s what we know about the color. Brewster Green is a non-metallic dark green, well darker than a British Racing Green. According to sites like Color.RS, Brewster Green may be one of the oldest car paint colors on record having been apparently offered as far back as 1909 on the Ford Model T.
In the Porsche world, Brewster Green also has long-held significance. Ferry Porsche himself had a practice of specifying his company cars painted in one of a select number of green paint colors including Oak Green Metallic, Olive Green, Emerald Green Metallic, and of course Brewster Green. This tradition has been continued by Dr Wolfgang Porsche to this day, with numerous examples in his private collection painted in the same colors his father favored in those very early days of the brand.
Here’s what we know about this car for sale. It’s basically new and currently in inventory at Porsche San Luis Obispo, asking price $329,888. We’re going to give the dealer credit for making sure the Paint to Sample color is listed and searchable both on their site and AutoTrader where we first found it, but are less enthusiastic about the photos – direct sun and looking high in the front. Given we’re looking to show off unique colors and specifications on this site, we just wish dealers of luxury and exotic cars in general spent more time making them look incredible in photography.
Off our rant and back to the car, you can find a full specification for it HERE. Interestingly, given it’s a Turbo S and not a GT3 or the like, this Brewster Green coupe has sport cloth interior that embraces the more sporting side of its S designation. That’s a bold choice for whomever ordered the car given the quickness of the turnover, but hey… so was Brewster Green. We hope a total enthusiast sees the value and snaps it up.
