What: 2021 Audi A6 allroad Color: Audi exclusive Nardo Grey(nardograu; UNI; LY7C; Audi) VIN: WAU92BF2XMN033356 Mileage: 21,304 miles Price: $58,500 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Chester, CA Listing:Private Sale
We can’t be mad at any dealer for trying, so when the private seller of this Tailored Driver says “the dealer had it set up to look like an RS“, we’ll go ahead and assume that includes the RS 6 badge found stuck to the rear tailgate. Moving past this easy to remove faux pas, this A6 allroad is a fairly handsome spec- Audi exclusive Nardo grey with black optic package and contrasting dark cladding. In a world where wagons- especially big wagons- are harder and harder to find without an AMG or RS badge, this could be your ticket to the Tailored Driver elite without the hefty insurance premium that often comes with.
What: 2022 Audi SQ7 Color: Audi exclusive Nardo Grey(nardograu; UNI; LY7C; Audi) VIN: WA1AWBF70ND018415 Mileage: 57,590 miles Price: $50,487 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: N/A Location: Upper Saddle River, NJ Listing:Jack Daniels Audi of Saddle River
Perhaps we’ve said it before, but we’ll proudly say it again- Audi’s SQ7 is the most under-rated vehicle in their lineup. The RS 6 gets all the looks, and the S/RS Q8 gets all the Urus comparisons, but if you want a 500hp family hauler that’ll road trip with the best of ’em, look no further. A fortunate side effect of that lack of attention and admiration, for us at least, is Q7-style depreciation. Just three years old, having no prior accidents reported, and showing 57,000 miles on the odometer, this SQ7 is now for sale at approximately 50% of it’s original price. Are these things really that cheap? A quick cars.com search suggests that yep, they sure are. This particular example sporting Audi exclusive Nardo Grey paint seems like a great way to get into a Tailored Driver that punches well above its weight for $50k.
What: 2021 BMW M5 Competition Color: BMW Individual Nardo Grey(nardograu; non-Metallic UNI; P6K; BMW) VIN: WBS83CH01MCH50510 Mileage: 26,342 miles Price: $81,900 CarFax:Link Window Sticker: Pictured Location: Boston, MA Link: Boston Motorsport Maserati
The BMW M5 is an absolute bruiser, and this particular example finished in BMW Individual Nardo Grey certainly pulls no punches. More than 600 horsepower are available for whatever your heart desires, and the Executive Package’s ventilated seats ensure fatigue will be kept to a minimum as you commute to work, or attempt a new Cannonball record. In all it’s a sharp package that would be a great addition to any Tailored Driver’s fleet.

Why We Love It:
Not much to say about Nardo Grey that we haven’t said before- it was the undeniable color of the moment, and its inspiration can be clearly seen throughout the automotive landscape. But this particular example is much more than that. This Tailored Driver is the Audi brand connoisseur’s choice. Nardo Grey over Magma Red was chosen, but beyond the obvious is a host of choice upgrades. Audi Genuine Accessory Carbon Fiber mirror caps and rear spoiler. Black badges. An RS 4-look grille and what appears to be R8-like wheels with genuine Audi center caps. Money was spent here, and the theme was achieved.
What: 2016 Audi A7 Color: Audi exclusive Nardo Grey (nardograu; non-metallic UNI; LY7C; Audi) VIN: WAU2GAFC1GN014902 Mileage: 91,900 miles Price at Time of this Writing: $16,000 CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: Avilone Auto Group, Dallas, TX Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
The nuance of what is truly special or not can be tiresome to most, but our guess is that if you were in that camp, you wouldn’t be here. It’s through that lens, that we feature this Tailored Driver. Nardo Grey was offered on the Audi A7 as a standard color on the Competition variants, of which this is not and it predates by two years. Squint harder, and you’ll see this A7 has standard (non S-line) bumpers, comfort seats, a round steering wheel, and lacks the red painted brake calipers of the Competition. Wood grain on the dash and door panels further separates this from it’s Competition package brethren, but RS 7 wheels and grill do add back some aggression. The best part? That’d be the price- just $16,000.
What: 2018 BMW M3 Competition Color: BMW Individual Nardo Grey (nardograu; non-metallic UNI; P6K; LY7C/T3; Audi) VIN: WBS8M9C52J5J78816 Mileage: 76,557 Price at Time of this Writing: $46,000 CarFax: Link Window Sticker: Pictured below Location: Louisville, KY Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
Nardo Grey had a moment in the early to mid 2010s, there’s simply no denying that. After appearing on several Audi RS models, the color quickly made it’s way to other brands with Tailoring programs like BMW (shown here) and Porsche, and shortly after spawned me-too colors like Porsche’s Chalk and BMW’s Brooklyn Grey. The staff of Tailored Driver loves a good cross-brand build, and this M3 is an incredibly well executed example. Aforementioned Nardo Grey (in BMW code P6K) is paired exquisitely with Amaro Brown extended leather, elevated by the appearance of BMW’s Competition pack seats with strategic cutouts. Sure you lose lumbar adjustment, but speed holes are just cool. We look forward to seeing additional images once this Tailored Driver is cleaned up, but at this price, it just might not last that long.
It’s funny, there are some colors that become meteoric, becoming so popular that they become iconic and risk becoming ubiquitous. Such is the case of Audi’s Nardo Grey (nardograu; UNI; LY7C; Audi exclusive), a light grey that came on the scene as a standout in Ingolstadt’s RS car lineup.
Variations on the pastel light grey theme were a thing in the early 2000s, with the Audi TT’s Aviator Grey then Suzuka Grey, Porsche’s Sport Classic Grey then later Chalk. Nardo Grey came into the lexicon roughly in the middle of this grey cloud and seemed to strike a nerve.
Maybe it’s the nature of the general idea of battleship grey. Ian Fleming’s original James Bond 007, the one in the book and not the movies, famously first drove a Blower Bentley painted battleship grey. And though that car has never graced the silver screen, many other racing cars have including in the pre-war era that would have birthed the Blower Bentley.
By the time Nardo came on the scene on cars like the Mk2 TT RS or the B8 RS 5, what was old was new again and the shading had a certain perfect balance of light and dark that all made it very distinctive. It was so popular that it became a very regular choice in Audi exclusive tailored specifications, and even got picked up by clients from other brands. Today, it remains common in the Audi RS stock palette though we’d argue so common that it’s now not quite as special in those early Mk2 TT RS days. Nevertheless, it’s still handsome.
Audi of America product planning has dipped into the Audi exclusive catalogue to create some new color and trim limited editions on its S6 and S7 models. Dubbed the Nardo Sport Edition, it pairs paint color with eye-catching interior trim specification.
At the heart of the name is the paint color. Nardo Grey (nardfograu; UNI; LY7C; Audi exclusive) is a popular choice for standard RS model color palettes and also a popular Audi exclusive special paint choice. So, while popular, this also means it’s not a terribly rare color. Whatever the case, it’s a handsome battleship grey shade.
Further differentiation comes from black roof, darkened headlights, carbon mirror trims and gloss black 21-inch wheels that adopt the design of the 22-inch wheels from the RS 6 Avant.
Inside, the specification is more bold, with two-tone Jet Grey and Black leather, additional leather surfaces, Crimson Red Stitching and Crimson Red seatbelts.

RESTON, VA – Audi of America today announced the availability of a new Nardo Sport Edition package for the 2025 S6 4-door sedan and 2025 S7 5-door liftback. Inspired by Audi Sport, the new package adds an exclusive exterior color and unique interior designs to form a subtle yet purposeful palette. The Nardo Sport Edition enhances the sporting appeal of the potent S models, each of which are propelled by a 444-horsepower, 2.9L biturbo TFSI® V6 and quattro® all-wheel drive.
The 2025 S6 Nardo Sport Edition and S7 Nardo Sport Edition will arrive in an Audi exclusive Nardo Gray exterior color, and feature a black roof, darkened headlight structures, and carbon fiber mirror housings. The High-gloss Black package with black badges is included, and both the S6 and S7 Nardo Sport Edition receive 21” gloss black Audi Sport wheels: 5-V-spoke structure design on the S6; and 5-V-spoke trapezoid design for the S7.
The interiors of the S6 and S7 Nardo Sport Edition models each receive an Audi exclusive leather package in Jet Gray/Black with Crimson Red stitching and Crimson Red seatbelts. The special edition includes a leather package that coats the dash, armrest and center console, and on S7 models, the bundle includes a Black Dinamica headliner.
Electrically powered compressor boosts turbo performance The 2.9-liter biturbo TFSI V6 in all 2025 Audi S6 and S7 models is rated at 444 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, and features a separate electronic compressor paired with the engine’s two turbos to sharpen throttle response. Brought to the U.S. market for the first time in S6 and S7 models, the electric powered compressor (EPC) system comprises an electric motor with a small turbine that helps quickly build the twin turbo system’s boost pressure, sharpening throttle response and reducing any noticeable turbo “lag”. When the V6 TFSI engine is operating at higher speeds, a valve for the EPC system closes, leaving a parallel path for air to move through the engine. However, the EPC system is always operating, even at idle, ready to respond to the driver’s needs for increased power.
The EPC makes the most of Audi’s latest-generation 48V mild hybrid electrical architecture, supplying electric energy generated during coasting and recuperation to the vehicles’ 9.6 Ah lithium-ion battery. From there, the battery provides the EPC’s electric motor energy to accelerate the turbine – located downstream of the engine’s turbochargers – to quickly increase pressure, aiding engine responsiveness and torque delivery. The entire EPC system adds just 10 kg (22 lbs) to the vehicles’ overall weight and reduces response time to less than 250 milliseconds, faster than an average human’s reaction time.
Located downstream of the engine’s parallel twin turbochargers and upstream of the air-to-water intercooler, the compressor pushes cooler air through the engine’s two throttle bodies and into its cylinders with higher force. At lower engine speeds, the EPC activates at speeds up to 70,000 RPM, helping the engine operate similar to the smoothness of a naturally aspirated, non-turbocharged, engine.
Expanded Connected Car and ADAS Features All 2025 Audi S6 and S7 models feature available adaptive cruise assist, Audi’s traffic sign recognition technology, the Audi connect app with remote engine start capability, and the integrated application store that allows apps to be directly downloaded on to the Multimedia Interface (MMI).
The Audi app store offers customers an elevated level of digital in-car experience, seamlessly connecting their Audi to their digital life with apps in categories including Music, Video, Gaming, Navigation, Parking & Charging, Productivity, Weather, and News, including the integration of third-party services such as Spotify, TikTok, Yelp, Webex by Cisco, and The Weather Channel®.
Pricing and availability The 2025 Audi S6 Nardo Sport Edition and 2025 Audi S7 Nardo Sport Edition are available now for ordering through U.S. Audi retailers, and will remain available throughout the 2025 model year. With typical Audi performance thanks to quattro all-wheel drive, a five-cylinder engine, and sensational appearance, the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO conquered the racetracks of North America at the end of the 1980s. Today, the victorious vehicle inspires the new top model of another icon from Audi’s portfolio: the Audi RS 6 Avant GT2. New photos show the special model, limited to 660 cars, against the backdrop of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and the unmistakable nature of the surrounding landscape.
As the second-largest car market in the world, the USA is an important growth market for Audi. The company wants to strengthen its brand in North America and sees the region as one of three pillars worldwide. Ten new market launches will follow by 2026 as part of this strategy. Now in its fourth generation, the Audi RS 6 Avant3 enjoys cult status in the USA.
The following picture gallery offers a selection of new images of the Audi RS 6 Avant GT2 in Nardo Grey and Arkona White, together with the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO.
