Market Find: 2014 Audi exclusive Velvet Purple Pearl Effect RS 7

    What: 2014 Audi RS 7
Color: Audi exclusive Velvet Purple Pearl Effect (samtviolettperleffekt; metallic UNI; LQ87; Audi)
    VIN: WUAW2AFC5EN904015
    Mileage: 47,791
Price at Time of this Writing: $41,991
    CarFax: Link
    iPacket: Link
    Location: Houston, TX
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

Not to be confused with the more prevalent and very similar Audi exclusive Merlin Purple Metallic, this Tailored Driver is finished in the slightly darker, more subdued Audi exclusive Velvet Purple Pearl Effect, giving it a cool factor that goes beyond the fact that it happens to be applied to an RS 7. Add in that it’s got a 560hp twin-turbo V8, regular service history at the selling dealer, Audi North Houston, and can be had for about $42 grand, we feel this is an attainable pathway into the world of Tailored Drivers for many with quite a lot going for it.

  • Market Find: 2021 Audi exclusive Sonoma Green Metallic RS 7

Market Find: 2021 Audi exclusive Sonoma Green Metallic RS 7

    What: 2021 Audi RS 7
Color: Audi exclusive Sonoma Green (LX6R; Audi)
    VIN: WUAPCBF23MN905175
    Mileage: 27,091
Price at Time of this Writing: $89,890
    CarFax: Link
    Window Sticker: N/A
    Location: Sterling, VA
    Dealer listing: Link

    Why we love it:

Sonoma Green came seemingly out of nowhere when it was introduced for the B9 generation RS 5, and it made a big impact amongst enthusiasts, but due to a number of factors, the big brother RS 7 never was offered in the dynamic shade of Green. Thankfully Audi exclusive and at least one discerning Tailor was able to right this wrong. In this application, Sonoma simply looks incredible while not being overly flashy or appearing out of place. If you’re in the market, we highly suggest picking this up.

  • Color Check: Goodwood Green with Gold RS 7 from Audi Thailand

Color Check: Goodwood Green with Gold RS 7 from Audi Thailand

The photos you see here are from just a casual daily social media post made by Audi Thailand, but they represent such a great spec that we simply had to share. The car in question is a new Audi RS 7 performance painted Audi exclusive Goodwood Green (goodwoodgrün; pearl effect UNI; Z6X; Audi).

Though not currently offered as a standard color on the RS 7 or most of the Audi range, at least in North America, Goodwood as a long appreciated Audi color makes it a popular choice in the world of Audi exclusive tailored builds.

In a way, it’s probably Audi’s closest take on traditional British Racing Green, so is it any wonder that it looks great with gold wheels, which came back into the fore in recent years at brands such as Porsche. Over at Audi, they’ve got a gold finish of their own for wheels “Neodym Gold Matt” that’s a satin muted take which seems to harken early ur quattro era gold wheels without being gaudy.

And as cool as Neodym wheels are at Audi, Audi of America hasn’t really made much use of them. The finish was offered briefly on RS 5 models, and its use on the C8 RS 6 and RS 7 was only on a limited production special edition. If you want them, you likely need to source them from Europe in some creative fashion as they are still offered as a stand alone specification like we see here on this RS 7 performance.

So back to this car posted by Audi Thailand. Borderline British Racing Green with gold wheels is an iconic and always stylish look, so there was no question this combination would look stunning on a car like the RS 7 performance. Thanks to Audi Thailand for sharing it. We did try to embed the post here, but it appears permissions are prohibiting that. If you’d like to check it out and like it yourself, you can find it HERE.

  • Market Find: Audi exclusive Goodwood Green RS 7

Market Find: Audi exclusive Goodwood Green RS 7

Some variation of “I’d take the fast one, in some shade of green” is a common utterance around our office, so to say this fits the bill would be an understatement. Offered currently on Bring a Trailer, this 2016 Audi RS 7 was Tailored in Audi exclusive Goodwood Green (goodwoodgrün; pearl effect UNI; Z6X; Audi), a color which Audi has tried their best to make ‘stick’ with limited take-rate in each instance. We’ll blame the dealers, because to us it’s damn near perfect.

In fact, the pairing of Audi exclusive Goodwood Green over Silver Valcona leather with the slightly deviated Rock Grey stitching is so striking, it seems the owner enjoyed looking at it more than they enjoyed using it. Just 16,000 miles has been covered since this RS 7 was delivered in 2016, which is a real shame.

Your chance to right this wrong is just days away however, as this Audi exclusive Goodwood Green RS 7 will go to a new owner when the Bring a Trailer auction closes later this week. Follow the auction live, here.

  • Audi exclusive Velvet Violet Pearl RS 7 Sportback performance

Audi exclusive Velvet Violet Pearl RS 7 Sportback performance

The headquarters of Audi’s in-house tailor Audi exclusive is effectively the Audi Forum Neckarsulm. On the second floor of the brand’s customer welcome center at their second largest corporate manufacturing facility is a showroom featuring some seriously creative builds. As a result, these sorts of cars tend to be highlighted by Audi Deutschland’s Facebook presence, cars like this RS 7 Sportback performance painted in Velvet Violet Pearl Effect (samtviolettperleffekt; pearl effect UNI; 092 QB7; Audi).

Also known as “Velvet Purple” this hue is a popular choice amongst those seeking Audi exclusive paint in order to make their car a little more unique. That it’s on Audi exclusive’s main palette also means it’s more affordable than say painting the car the same purple hue as your yacht or alma mater.

In this case, the car in question also has some unique interior details. These include an individually specced combination of black and diamond silver leather and stitching.
