Real World Photos of Audi RS 4 edition 25 Years from Scherer Sport

German Audi dealer Scherer Sport is known for a number of things, and one of our favorites is their willingness to order factory tailored cars and then share them on their social media. In this case, they’ve got a couple of Audi RS 4 edition 25 Years examples with real world photos that reveal some of the excellent details of this limited edition specification of a Europe-only Audi.

For those who don’t know of Scherer Sport and their activities, it’s worth noting that they’re by no means lightweights. They’ve fielded DTM teams. They’re a dealer for ABT Sportsline, concocting some of their own special edition takes on ABT formulas. They were even the key partner build the maing of the ABT X-GT, a street-going equivalent of the Audi R8 GT2.

Audi themselves dropped full PR materials on the RS 4 edition 25 years when it first came out. We ran that HERE. In addition to Imola Yellow seen in the press materials, Audi also confirmed Nardo Grey and Mythos Black versions would be made available. It seems that’s what Scherer’s got here.

Of course, if you’re in Germany then it’s worth noting the cars are available. If you’re stuck stateside like us, these cars are not yet eligible for import and won’t be until they’re 25 years old. Nevertheless, they’re still fun to look at while considering the capabilities of Audi exclusive.

    Check them out HERE.

  • Color Check: Audi exclusive RS 6 in Dragon Orange

Color Check: Audi exclusive RS 6 in Dragon Orange

We’ve got one last car from German Audi dealer Scherer Sport to highlight their mix of RS 6 performance wealth… at least until they share a few more. For this particular RS 6 performance, the specification turns to a color introduced with the market arrival of the pre-facelift Audi Q8 range.

That color is Dragon Orange Metallic (drachenorange; metallic Uni; LY2Y / Y4; Audi). This was a stock color on the Q8 range, meaning that even though it had a relatively low take rate it still can be found with some regularity on Q8, SQ8 and RS Q8 specimens.

However, it’s rare as an Audi exclusive decision so finding it on an RS 6 is a fresh take on a familiar hue. It’s also not Samoa Orange, Ipanema Brown or Solar/Glut Orange, more typical amber hues from Audi exclusive. By our measure, that makes this RS 6 performance decidedly unique.

  • Color Check: Audi exclusive RS 6 performance in Riviera Blue

Color Check: Audi exclusive RS 6 performance in Riviera Blue

As mentioned yesterday, Germany’s Scherer Sport dealership has a building full of Audi RS 6 Avants. According to a recent Facebook post, they claim to have over 40 RS 6 Avants available at a promotional price. Amongst them is this very striking color combination.

On the outside is Riviera Blue (rivierablau; non-metallic Uni; LP3G; Audi). Inside, this specification continues to strike a bold pose with light Diamond Silver Leather paired with Alaska Blue contrast stitching.

The last time Scherer Sport ran this sort of promotion, headlining with a gaggle of Audi R8s, it coincided with the end of production of Audi’s mid-engine supercar. We know the launch of the A6 replacement is imminent (Mach 4 via ooooIYKYK.com). Given the proximity of that reveal, it’s quite possible the RS 6 Avant is nearing its production end.

Get them while they’re hot. The C9 Audi RS 6 is expected to be a hybrid, which means added weight. Though the RS 6 Avant is no clubsport lightweight, we’re told the M5 Touring is over 400 lbs heavier.

  • Color Check: RS 6 performance in Audi Oak Green Metallic

Color Check: RS 6 performance in Audi Oak Green Metallic

Since the Audi showroom operated by Scherer Sport is in Germany and not in the USA, we’re not running this as a market find. Nevertheless, this Frankfurt-area Audi dealer appears to have a showroom full of new RS 6 Avants that is worth paying attention to as posted on their Facebook Page.

At the front of that lineup, quite literally, is this example in Oak Green Pearl Effect (oakgrünperleffekt; metallic uni; Q82; Audi). Not to be confused with Porsche’s Oak Green Metallic that we’ve also seen painted on Audi exclusive commissions, the Audi take on Oak Green tends to be a little less dark and a little more gold.

Scherer doesn’t confirm interior details on this car, though it appears to be a tailored Audi exclusive specification on the inside. It’s primarily black, though features accents including bolster panels in Cognac. This is a guess though, so those particularly interested in the interior specification should reach out to Scherer directly HERE.

  • Scherer Sport Shares ABT Sportsline RS 7 Legacy Edition in Audi exclusive Kyalami Green

Scherer Sport Shares ABT Sportsline RS 7 Legacy Edition in Audi exclusive Kyalami Green

Even though the car you see here is for sale, we’re foregoing running it as a Market Find given it’s being sold via Scherer Sport’s dealership in Germany and our finds are tailored for North American buyers. Nevertheless, there’s a lot to love about this ABT RS 7 Legacy Edition.

Let’s start with the paint. Though it’s been a factory color for cars such as the TT RS and RS 3 sedan, you’d need to place an Audi exclusive order to get Kyalami Green (kyalamigrün; non-metallic Uni; LZ6A; Audi) on an RS 7.

Next, the car is built to ABT Sportsline’s Legacy Edition specification, upgrading a whole host of components while adding the very distinctive body kit.

Though most of the cars ABT Sportsline builds are current-generation Audi offerings, we still count them as a remaster. Rather than simply selling upgrades and components, which they also do, ABT builds series cars to set packages like the Legacy Edition and then finalizes those with client determined details of the specification.

Check out more on the Scherer Sport website and also via their Facebook post.
