If there are brands that can pull off retro design cues such as numbers painted on grillework or two-tone paint, then they’re likely British and steeped in heritage. That’s not a large group of marques, and if we narrow it down to brands that can pull this off in a modern way then we’d challenge you to name anyone who does the latter better then Bentley.
Take for example this specification on the Flying Spur Speed, a combination of Damson (damson; metallic UNI; 6410; Bentley) over White Sand (whitesand; metallic UNI; LK1V; Bentley). A colorful combination it is not, but there’s something classic about this multi-shade and modern take on black over white… especially an incredible specification like this new Continental Flying Spur Speed that turned up on the brand’s Global Media Drive. Bentley has released photos of each car on location for the drive. This includes full build specifications. Going forward, we’re going to be color checking all of them, and first up is this particular specification.
Damson is a go-to black for Bentley, while White Sand appears to be a Silvery Beige white the duo-tone paintwork by Mulliner is accented on this car with blackware and black-painted 22-inch ten swept spoke wheels.
Inside, the cabin is a duo-tone Damson and Portland leather, dark-tinted Brushed Aluminum fascias and contrast stitching throughout.
Worth noting, the car also has several options that we’ll list here along with U.S. pricing. These include Mulliner Personal Commission – Duo Tone Paintwork ($33,325), ‘Naim for Bentley Premium Audio System ($9,615), Touring Specification ($7,890), Bentley Rotating Display ($6,955), Illuminated Flying ‘B’ in Black Gloss ($5,315), Flying Spur Blackline Specification ($5,175), Full Length Centre Console 4-Seat Configuration ($5,135), Wellness Seating ($4,670), Dark Tint Diamond Brushed Aluminum Fascia ($4,330), 22″ Ten Swept Spoke Wheels – Black Painted ($4,000).
Touring Specification includes Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Night Vision and Head-up Display.
Flying Spur Blackline Specification includes Black Gloss Matrix Style Grille and Black Surround, Black Gloss Bumper Lower Matrix Style Grille Surround, Black Gloss Front Headlamp and Rear Lamp Bezels, Black Gloss Side Window, Lower Door and Door Handle Brightware, Black Gloss Wing Vent, and Black Gloss Rear Bumper and Number Plate Surround Brightware.
Wellness Seating includes Postural and Lumbar Adjustments, Cooled and Heated Seating and Massage Functions.
What: 1991 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer DLS “Dynamics and Lightweight Study” Color: Fluid Silver VIN: WP0ZZZ96ZMS400118 Mileage: 182 Price at Time of this Writing: Inquire CarFax: N/A Window Sticker: N/A Location: USA Dealer listing:Link
Why we love it:
Say you’ve been wanting a Singer, have got the cash but not the time to wait your turn in the ever-lengthening cue. If that describes your particular plight, then you may want to head on over to Broad Arrow and hit up their Private Sales inventory where the “Mame Commission” has popped up for sale.
In a day of wild colored tailored specs being… well, not common, but also not rare, choosing a subtle neutral silver and then packing some unexpected color on the inside is a beautiful display of if-you-know-you-know taste that embraces the understated. That’s the mix on “Mame”, with an exterior of Fluid Silver (a $42,550 option) and an interior of Olive Green Suede. It’s just so good.
Singer only ever built 75 examples of the DLS and availability is typically zero. That the “Mame Commission” with just 182 miles on it is available, much less in a fantastic specification, should definitely be noted. To quote Ferris Bueller, “It’s so choice. If you have the means (we)’d highly suggest it.”

Editor’s Note: Jaguar’s been raising a bit of an uproars these last few weeks as it wiped away its historic imprint on the internet, replacing it first with avantgarde androgynous fashion video shorts and then hints of a car. Now, ahead of the launch of its roadgoing new EV products, it’s unveiled the Type 00 Concept that’s a bold and brutal design laden heavily with high fashion color and materials? Is it a brilliant move or a grand folly? Time will tell.
Whatever the answer, it’s a bold take on color and naming those colors was a key part of the initial message. So, while not a car on the road just yet, we have no doubt these colors will be watched closely, and with similar polarizing responses.
PRESS RELEASE: JAGUAR UNVEILS TYPE 00. UNMISTAKABLE. UNEXPECTED. DRAMATIC.
Introducing an unmistakable, unexpected and dramatic physical manifestation of Jaguar, as the brand continues its transformation.
[source: Jaguar]
Jaguar is recapturing its original ethos to ‘Copy Nothing’. Following the debut of its bold new visual identity last month, the next step on its transformational journey has been revealed in the form of a distinctive design vision concept
Jaguar Type 00 is an example of Jaguar at its best. A fearless statement. An object of desire. A concept with bold forms and exuberant proportions to inspire future Jaguars
Unique and different to the norm. Visionary design defies electric vehicle convention, featuring a long bonnet, sweeping roofline, fastback profile and 23‑inch alloy wheels for a dramatic silhouette
Type 00 showcases Jaguar’s vibrant new identity. Symbols of change highlight the transformation, inspired by Jaguar’s rich heritage, including the leaper – a precious mark of provenance
A fearless new face for Jaguar. Flush surfaces. Glassless rear tailgate and panoramic roof with body‑harmonised glazing create a sense of sculpture
Type 00 is presented in two colours, dubbed Miami Pink and London Blue – the former reflects the iconic Art Deco surroundings of its reveal, the latter references its British heritage
Global re‑emergence of Jaguar at Miami Art Week emphasises its purpose as an advocate for art, in a celebration of British artists and creativity
Jaguar’s first reimagined production car will be an electric four‑door GT – to be revealed in late 2025 and built in the UK. See: www.jaguar.com/copy‑nothing
New model will use dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) and target a range of up to 770km WLTP (478 miles) and 430 miles (692km) EPA*, and adding 321km (200 miles) of charge in as little as 15 minutes*
In Miami, Jaguar’s transformation into an electric‑only brand with an elevated family of highly desirable and exclusive new luxury vehicles continues. This transition extends beyond the products Jaguar designs and engineers; it represents a reimagination of the entire brand.
Introducing Type 00. The physical manifestation of Jaguar’s new creative philosophy – Exuberant Modernism.
The ‘Type’ prefix is a link to the brand’s provenance, to models like the pioneering E‑type. The first zero references zero tailpipe emissions. The second represents its status as car zero in our new lineage. Its visionary design defies electric vehicle convention with a long bonnet, sweeping roofline, 23‑inch alloy wheels, fastback profile and boat‑tail to create a dramatic silhouette with sophisticated, modernist surfaces. This design was enabled by our unique and dedicated architecture JEA (Jaguar Electrical Architecture).
Exuberant Modernism
Jaguar’s new creative philosophy is founded on three fundamental characteristics and expressed in every part of the brand and everywhere it appears – represented in both a new artistic visual identity and the way it builds relationships with clients.
EXUBERANT. Vibrant, uninhibited and fearless. In the vehicles it creates and moments it curates
MODERNIST.Future‑facing, curious and inspired by the world. Respectful of the past, not dictated by it
COMPELLING. Holistic, sensory and extraordinary. Generating meaningful connections with clients
Capturing the Spirit of Jaguar
Type 00 is a prelude to a future generation of Jaguars that will recapture the spirit and essence of the brand at its best. Our start point was a blank sheet of paper from both a design and engineering perspective. A new and unique architecture, JEA, was developed from scratch to enable the dramatic design of Type 00. This dedicated technology platform will ensure clients experience a captivating driving experience, engaging handling and exemplary ride comfort.
The latest electrification technologies and awe‑inspiring designs will make future Jaguars stand out in an increasingly homogenous EV market.
Built in the UK, the first new‑generation production Jaguar will be a four door GT to be revealed in late 2025. It will target a driving range up to 770km (478 miles) WLTP* or 430 miles (692km) EPA*, on a single charge and adding up to 321km (200 miles) of range in as little as 15 minutes when rapid charging.*
Exclusive Brand Stores
Jaguar will come to life in a select number of exclusive brand stores for clients around the world. These environments will present an immersive step into the world of Jaguar, embracing their setting and local culture and be complemented by a wider global network of luxury retailers. Jaguar’s first new brand store will be in the heart of the luxury fashion district of Paris, in the 8th arrondissement.
Dramatic Exterior
The confident new face combines upright, flush surfaces with the new Jaguar device mark at its centre. A distinctive and precise front light signature emphasises the corners of the car, giving width and grounding it.
The side profile is dominated by bold proportions, with the Jaguar ‘leaper’ laser‑etched into a hand‑finished brass ingot on each side of the car. These ingots theatrically deploy to reveal rear‑facing cameras that – like the charging ports and front air intakes – remain hidden until needed.
The rear continues the bold statement. A glassless tailgate and panoramic body‑harmonised glazed roof create a sense of sculpture. The rear elevation is defined by distinctive horizontal Strikethrough graphics, which hide dramatic full‑width taillights and emphasise the power and scale of Type 00.
Just as a pair of E‑types attended its 1961 launch at the Geneva Motor Show, the reveal of Type 00 celebrates two contrasting interpretations of Jaguar’s new design vision. A Satin Rhodon Rose example – dubbed ‘Miami Pink’ in honour of the pastel colours of the city’s iconic Art Deco architecture – is inspired by the distinctive rose colour that brass takes on as it ages. It is joined by a striking Inception Silver Blue model. Dubbed ‘London Blue’, it is inspired by the Opalescent Silver Blue of the 1960s and was chosen to reflect Jaguar’s British heritage.
Captivating Interior
A pair of dramatic butterfly doors and ‘pantograph’ tailgate open to reveal a modernist interior that shares its exuberant proportions with the exterior. The awe‑inspiring cabin features three hand‑finished brass lines which run the length of the interior, with a central 3.2m‑long brass spine that splits a pair of floating instrument panels.
Soothing travertine stone functions as a plinth, supporting the floating seats and central spine. It inspires the rich layered tonal colour palette of the interior. Woven textiles add to the sense of craftsmanship. A tactile wool blend, inspired by handwoven yarns, envelops the two seats, sound bar and flooring.
A Sensory Experience
Type 00 is an experience for the senses. Its body‑harmonised glazed roof casts a subtle pattern onto the materials inside, bringing textures to life and changing their character throughout the day.
Jaguar’s design team explored new ways of enhancing the interior. Occupants can tailor the cabin to suit their mood using the uniquely crafted Prism case. The objective of this feature is for occupants to engage with the vehicle and extend the concept of customisation and personalisation. It stows behind an exquisitely engineered powered door on the bodyside and contains three totems of natural materials – Brass, Travertine and Alabaster.
Placing one of the totems inside the centre console tailors the mood of the interior. Everything, from the ambient lighting and unique soundscape to the tailored screen graphics, reflect the properties of the chosen material. Bespoke scents interact with the materials for unprecedented personalisation.
This exuberant and artistic approach to engaging the senses extends to the display screens, where animations are formed through the creative technique of ‘Chiaroscuro’ – using light and shadow to define three‑dimensional objects.
Symbols of Change
DEVICE MARK:Jaguar’s signature.
A celebration of modernism – geometric form, symmetry and simplicity. Inspired by Malcolm Sayer, Jaguar’s designer of the C, D and E‑type who uniquely blended science and art to produce timeless shapes in these cars. The geometric letter forms are rotated to create perfect visual symmetry and balance. It creates a modernist form that spells out the distinguished Jaguar name.
MAKER’S MARKS:The Jaguar ‘leaper’ and monogram.
The ‘leaper’ is a precious mark of provenance. Now, always leaping forward ‑ it is a signpost of our forward‑facing outlook and a representation of excellence. It is the hallmark of the brand, as it has been since the beginning.
The new monogram replaces the ‘Growler’ that represented the sound of combustion engines of the past. The new monogram is a discreet artistic motif that incorporates the ‘j’ and the ‘r’ from opposite ends of the device mark. The term ‘opposite’ signifies our approach to do things differently and defy electric vehicle convention.
STRIKETHROUGH:This bold linear graphic generates a presence and an immediately recognisable visual for Jaguar and symbolises striking through imitation and the ordinary.
EXUBERANT COLOURS: The exuberant and bold use of colour is a cornerstone of Jaguar’s new brand identity, embedded in its association with art. Always presented with texture or movement.
Artistic Endeavour
Jaguar has earned a reputation for original thinking inspired by the singular vision of founder, Sir William Lyons, who believed that Jaguar should be a ‘copy of nothing’ and that its cars should be considered as artforms.
Jaguar showcased its creative reimagining at Miami Art Week with a series of curated gallery spaces in two locations. As the Official Luxury Automobile of Art Miami, it presented ‘Jaguar. Exuberance.’ – an immersive exploration of its dramatic new visual language featuring original works by British artists. Then, at the fashion and architectural playground of Miami Design District, Jaguar unveiled its ‘Copy Nothing’ installation for the public global debut of Type 00.
This Classic Convertible Restoration Took Over 2,300 Hours of Meticulous Restoration, Resulting in an Elegant New Vehicle Built with Adventure Travel in Mind
[source: Expedition Motor Company]
FRENCHTOWN, NJ – When it comes to pristine vintage Geländewagens (G-Wagens), few builders feature the blend of vehicle expertise along with the necessary restoration capabilities of Expedition Motor Company (EMC). Following more than seven years of experience and over one hundred and fifty 250GDs built and delivered, the team behind Expedition Motor Company has a deep respect for the heritage and go-anywhere capabilities of the iconic Geländewagen. EMC specializes in bringing former military G-Wagens back to life—transforming them into luxury, collector-grade vehicles designed to provide owners with a unique, old-school driving experience. EMC’s passion for precision, even down to the smallest components, and dedication to world-class quality, allows them to create the finest G-Wagen restorations in the marketplace today. These restorations not only capture the vehicle’s original character but also seamlessly integrate modern enhancements to add a new level of elegance and style. In this spirit, EMC proudly unveils their latest masterpiece: a beautifully restored 1992 Mojave Silver (mojavesilber; metallic UNI; 859; Mercedes-Benz) G-Wagen, featuring an exquisite Doppio interior and Mercedes’ “million-mile engine,” the OM602 Diesel.
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce this new Wolf V5, which is a direct showcase of EMC’s design and engineering prowess. You’ll feel just as at home cruising a beachside highway as you are traversing your favorite off-road trail,” founder Alex Levin comments. “This timeless classic stands as a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship and attention to detail that our team at EMC is known for.”
The exterior of this stunning G-Wagen is finished in Mojave Silver, paying homage to one of Mercedes-Benz’ most popular colorways. The “Mojave Silver” color also provides subtle nods to both the ruggedness of desert landscapes and a refined, understated luxury. Named after the Mojave Desert, this color evokes the resilience and natural beauty of an environment known for its challenging terrain and extreme conditions, aligning well with the tough, adventure-ready nature of the 250GD G-Wagen. The metallic silver exterior gives the vehicle a modern, polished look that reflects light beautifully and accentuates the iconic lines and contours of the G-Wagen. It offers a sleek aesthetic without sacrificing its 1990s heritage. This exterior is perfectly complemented by luxurious weatherproof interior upholstery. Adding to its distinct charm, this convertible G-Wagen comes with both a bikini top and a full soft top, offering drivers multiple options to suit their preferences.
Each EMC build undergoes a rigorous 2,300 man-hour restoration, where every detail is expertly crafted with precision and care down to the nuts and bolts. The process begins with a full disassembly of the vehicle. The body is taken down to bare metal and EMC’s craftsmen hand-mend all imperfections caused by age or combat. The frame is media blasted and receives an anti-corrosive primer and a durable powder coat finish. Other key components, such as fuel lines, brake lines, and body mounts are replaced to guarantee longevity and optimal performance. The factory axles are disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and meticulously refinished, while the brake system is fully revamped to ensure enhanced stopping power. EMC’s custom-designed suspension is then installed and fine-tuned, perfectly integrating with the vehicle to provide an unmatched driving experience.
Under the hood of this Mojave Silver Wolf lies a rebuilt OM602 diesel engine, expertly paired with a rebuilt 5-speed 722.6 automatic transmission. Built for terrains of all types, this vintage G-Wagen is ready to take on any journey with strength and style.
The Mojave Silver Wolf from EMC is available for purchase at a price of $204,150. Expedition Motor Company trucks start at $180,000 and are available to commission today. For more information, please contact Expedition Motor Company at (267) 714-4112, or visit expeditionmotorcompany.com.
SUMMARY: When it comes to core racing colors, silver and Germany go hand-in-hand since the pre-war Silver Arrows days of Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union. And though Porsche tends to lean towards the original german racing color of white in more recent years, there’s no doubt that its classic 1950s racers predominantly went silver. And one of the most popular modern Porsche silver colors is GT Silver Metallic (gtsilbermetallic; metallic UNI; M7Z / U2; Porsche).
GT Silver is a fairly ubiquitous color offered on the standard palette for a plethora of Porsche automobiles, so you’re unlikely to see it as a Paint to Sample special. Even still, it’s an excellent and classic base for special Manufaktur or Sonderwunsch builds where more bold interior colors are paired with a neutral exterior in order to grab more attention.
If you’re a super aficionado of Porsche Sonderwunsch and seeking something highly unique, we think this 2024 Porsche 911 Turbo out of Dubai and going up for auction by RM Sotheby’s should definitely grab your attention. The car was conceptualized as a tribute to Louise Piëch’s 1974 911 Turbo prototype with distinctive tartan seats and matching tartan graphics that’s a regular fixture at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. The car is the result of a collaboration between Style Porsche, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, intended as a showcase of the wide capabilities of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch special wishes program.
The base car is painted GT Silver (gtsilbermetallic; metallic UNI; M7Z / U2; Porsche), including custom exterior decals matching an interior fitted with two-tone Lipstick Red and black with red and blue tartan fabric trim.
Below is the full item description provided by RM Sotheby’s. Below that is a full gallery of the car. Check out more information HERE.
2024 Porsche 911 ‘Turbo Remastered’ by Porsche Sonderwunsch

Porsche lined up a particularly special 70th birthday present for Louise Piëch, daughter of company founder Ferdinand Porsche. To mark the occasion, on 29 August 1974, the factory gifted her a 911 Turbo prototype (chassis 9115600042). Even more special, this example of the first road-going 911 to feature forced induction was quite different from the final model that would enter production the following year. For starters, it was based around a narrow Carrera chassis rather than gaining the full-fat Turbo’s eventual and distinctive wide stance. In addition, a turbocharged 2.7-litre flat-six was initially installed rather than a 3-litre powerplant, plus the tachometer showed an ambitious red line of 10,000 rpm.
Finished in silver over a tartan interior, as chosen by Mrs Piëch, the prototype was completed at the Zuffenhausen factory on 17 July 1974. She evidently enjoyed driving “911 Turbo No. 1” greatly. Upon handing the car over to the Porsche Museum four years later, the odometer recorded nearly 32,000 kilometres from Mrs Piëch’s touring of continental motorways.
With 2024 marking 50 years since the original 930-generation 911 Turbo was revealed to the public at the Paris Motor Show in October 1974, Porsche fittingly commissioned the one-off ‘911 Turbo Exclusive Manufaktur’ offered here. Presented in GT Silver, this car is a loving modern-day interpretation of Mrs Piëch’s personal prototype. The stunning homage comes as a result of a collaboration between Style Porsche, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, and Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE in an exercise showcasing the Sonderwunsch request program, which provides bespoke customisation services to create unique special editions.
Unveiled at the Icons of Porsche festival held in Dubai in November 2023, this car is fitted with a host of Exclusive Manufaktur options. These include the Sport Design Package, which notably adds upturned tips for the rear wing, more pronounced side sills, and an aggressive restyling of the extended front bumper. Meanwhile, the side strakes and mirrors are painted to match the body colour. To authentically recreate the look of Mrs Piëch’s 1974 prototype, Style Porsche designers in Weissach have added the Austrian autobahn decal on the right-front wing. Porsche Classic also provided special permission for the script from the first-ever production 911 Turbo to be reused for the rear badge. The exterior configuration is capped off by black five-spoke wheels that hark back to the famous Fuchs alloy design.
With the Heritage Design Classic package selected, the interior features retro-style green illuminated dials for the tachometer and Sport Chrono dial. The upholstery for the remastered Turbo compromises two-tone Lipstick Red and black, while the seat centres and door cards are trimmed with red and blue tartan trim just as Mrs Piëch originally requested. Like the rear badging, the seats are capped off with original Turbo lettering embroidered into the headrest.
While the appearance is a clear tribute to Porsche’s past, the dynamics are at the leading edge. As a 992-generation 911 Turbo, the car boasts a 3,745-cc six-cylinder boxer engine enhanced by symmetrical turbochargers to deliver 580 PS. With that power transmitted to all four wheels via an eight-speed PDK transmission featuring an aluminium gear selector, the sprint to 100 km/h takes just 2.8 seconds while the top speed is 320 km/h. That considerable performance is accessed by unlocking the car with a bespoke dual-finish key that features the tartan pattern and GT Silver colours.
Registered in the United Arab Emirates and showing delivery use only, with the odometer displaying just 35 kilometres at the time of cataloguing, the sale of this 911 Turbo ‘Exclusive Manufaktur’ is particularly special. A seldom-offered opportunity to become the first owner of a one-off Porsche that celebrates 50 years of the manufacturer’s forced-induction flagship, here is an opportunity for marque enthusiasts and supercar collectors alike that’s not to be missed.
Porsche honors its legendary automotive heritage with an extraordinary creation: the 718 Spyder RS Panamericana Special. This one-of-a-kind vehicle commemorates the 70th anniversary of the official Porsche team’s historic participation in the first era of the Carrera Panamericana Mexico.
[source: Porsche AG]
As the final piece of a special trilogy celebrating the brand’s success in this emblematic Mexican race, drawing inspiration from the iconic 550 Spyder, it will also be auctioned for charitable causes. As a perfect addition, TAG Heuer pays tribute to this legendary race through the release of the limited TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Porsche Panamericana.
A one-of-a-kind vehicle
Porsche Latin America unveiled the 718 Spyder RS Panamericana Special, a one-of-a-kind vehicle commemorating Porsche’s most significant success during the1954 Carrera Panamericana Mexico. This edition is considered Porsche’s most successful among the brand’s three participations since 1952. Hans Herrmann, piloting a 550 Spyder, secured an impressive third place overall and clinched victory in the Sport category for cars up to 1500 cc. This remarkable achievement not only elevated Porsche’s status in global motorsport but also proved so memorable that—combined with the experiences of 1952 and 1953—it inspired the iconic “Carrera” naming.
Using the 718 Spyder RS as a foundation, Porsche aimed to recreate the spirit of the historic mid-engine 550 Spyder with its lightweight construction—the first vehicle specifically designed for racing that outperformed rivals with larger engines. A Porsche Latin America team, collaborating with Exclusive Manufaktur experts at Porsche’s headquarters in Germany, developed this model. Their joint effort completed a trilogy of cars created through Sonderwunsch, Porsche’s exclusive personalization program. This trilogy celebrates the 70th anniversary of three remarkable Porsche participations in the Carrera Panamericana.
“From the beginning to the modern era, La Carrera Panamericana Mexico is far more than a competition for Porsche. One only needs to look at the 911 Carrera or the Panamera—both named to honor the events that unfolded here in Mexico 70 years ago. The Sonderwunsch Inspiration cars represent exceptionally special projects, and Mexico was entrusted with three consecutive ones: the 911 Carrera Panamericana Special, the twin 718 Cayman GT4 RS Carrera Panamericana Specials, and this year’s 718 Spyder RS Panamericana Special”, said Tobias Eninger, CEO and President of Porsche Latin America. “The latter celebrates the legendary 550 Spyder, with which Hans Herrmann achieved remarkable feats. Each car commemorates a successful moment that individually resonated through the years, but collectively, transformed Porsche into an iconic brand.”
Celebrating Porsche’s Success in Mexico
In 1954, during the final edition of “golden era” of the Carrera Panamericana Mexico, Porsche cemented its legacy in this legendary rally. The brand achieved its best result to date, showcasing the exceptional capabilities of its sports cars in one of the most grueling races in those times. Porsche fielded a team of four official 550 Spyders, driven by an international quartet: Mexico’s Salvador López Chávez, Argentina’s Fernando Segura, Guatemala’s Jaroslav Juhan, and Germany’s Hans Herrmann. The race spanned five intense days, covering over 3,000 kilometers from the southern Mexican Border at Tuxtla Gutiérrez in the state of Chiapas, to the northern border at Ciudad Juárez in the state of Chihuahua.
The Porsche 550 Spyder featured the first race use of the 1500 cc four-camshaft engine, which was groundbreaking technology for its time. Combined with the lightweight aluminum bodywork, this engine enabled the car to reach speeds exceeding 200 km/h, allowing it to outperform heavier vehicles with engines more than three times its size. This victory was not just Porsche’s first as an official team; it also led to the Fuhrmann engine being dubbed the “Carrera Engine” and later inspired the name of Porsche’s most exclusive model line.
Completing the trilogy: the new Porsche 718 Spyder RS Panamericana Special
The Porsche 718 Spyder RS Panamericana Special, distinguishes itself through aesthetic enhancements, exclusive equipment, and historical nods. Centenaire silver adorns nearly all aerodynamic elements, including the carbon fiber components from the Weissach package. This striking color extends from the NACA ducts on the front, through the fascia and lower air intakes, to the rear spoiler in Gurney Flap format. The Magnesium wheels are complemented by high-gloss black ceramic composite brake calipers (PCCB), offering a contemporary twist.
Gunther Werks continues to impress with its progressive evolution of its classic 911 formula based on the reimagining of Porsche’s 993-generation cars. This latest build, teased in these 3-D renderings posted to their social media channels, shows a bespoke take on what should be the subtle – a shade of silver.
Here’s what we know. The car is the next specification built to their GWR formula, meaning unique and aerodynamic widebody with that almost 935-inspired venting of the front quarterpanel. At the rear, a ducktail spoiler gives it more of a touring / roadgoing look and feel.
The color on this 993 is listed as Argenta Shadow Silver and is described as “bespoke”, implying that this particular iteration of silver was formulated for the client commissioning this particular build. This is a 3-D rendering, so not exactly as valuable as “real world” pics for inspection of the silver, so we’re not entirely sure if the “Porsche” script and striping on the doors is blue or simply a darkened silver, while the script itself appears to be more of a white or perhaps matches the finish on the wheels.
We should also dwell a moment on those aforementioned wheels as well. The design itself very closely pays tribute to the design also seen on the modern Porsche 911 GT3. Like the modern car, these too are center lock, and they lean ever-so-slightly toward the gold side of the spectrum. The finish is listed as Desert Mist White Gold finish and we can’t wait to see what that looks like in real life.

Audi has renamed its base e-tron GT to now be the S e-tron GT. In addition to that, it’s dropped some B-roll of the new models. And while Florett Silver is pretty standard across the Audi range right now, this footage gives us an opportunity to examine it in more detail across the lines of the S e-tron GT.
