The result of close collaboration with a US-based Ferrari franchise and Ferrari North America’s Tailor Made department, this 2015 458 Speciale was treated to roughly $75k in special wishes, most of which can be found when you look past the Giallo Triplo Strato paint. A Blue Scuro center stripe was chosen to tie the exterior to the interior, featuring Blue Scuro Alcantara upholstery and yellow stitching. For the sticklers among us, rest assured that the interior Carbon Fiber bits have been finished in Blue Carbon as well. An impulse buy this was not and continues not to be, but in today’s supercar marketplace, it just may prove a safe bet at (nearly) any cost.

Unique ’22 Ferrari Monza SP1 Headed to RM Sotheby’s Münich Sale

When Ferrari went about creating the limited-edition Monza SP1 barchetta, it planned just 499 examples. Each was powered by Maranello’s 6.5-liter V12 derived from the 812 Superfast and tuned for 810 PS (798 hp). It’s rare that these cars come on the market, but we’ve run across this one headed for the block at RM Sotheby’s Münich auction set for November 23.

The specification for this particular example in question (VIN ZFF94MSB000244381) is definitely handsome, painted Titanium Grey with Giallo Modena accents, and the cockpit trimmed in Cioccolato Leather. The car is has had just one owner since new, and comes with factory-supplied accessories including helmet and carry case, driving gloves, goggles and Ferrari folio.

In the pursuit of ultimate performance, supercar manufacturers have in more recent years seen fit to bestow their creations with increasingly complex and intricate aerodynamic devices. Arguably, this has come at the expense of classic beauty and elegance—not something that can be said of the stunning Ferrari Monza. Revealed in October 2018, this open-top showstopper was the first model devised under the marque’s new “Icona” series.

The Maranello designers had delivered a clear throwback to the pure barchetta race cars of the 1950s, such as the Mille Miglia- and 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning 166 MM, 750, and 860 Monza. But beneath the flowing lines of the single-seater SP1 and two-person SP2 sat the underpinnings of Ferrari’s latest grand tourer. A sonorous 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V-12 engine lifted from the 812 Superfast gained revised inlet ducts and a remapped ECU to produce some 810 PS. Sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a 305km/h top speed was achievable. Between both SP1 and SP2 variants, only 499 cars were produced for Ferrari’s most prized clients.

This example, chassis 244381, is predominantly finished in the attractive shade of Titanium Grey. Meanwhile, the livery design running over the rear fin and bonnet is Giallo Modena. Personalised exterior flourishes include the airbrushed Scuderia shields and yellow brake callipers while components such as the engine cover, wheel arches, rear diffuser, front air vents, and under-door covers are completed in carbon fibre. As for the interior, a large-size GT2 monocoque racing seat trimmed in Cioccolato leather is equipped with a four-point harness. A Testa di Moro hue was selected for the famous Cavallino logo stitched into the headrest and yellow chosen for the tachometer. Optional extras include the installation of a suspension lifter in addition to front and rear parking cameras. A carbon fibre finish for the luggage compartment completes this car’s impressive specification.

The SP1 was initially registered on 28 July 2022 by its one and only owner, who is based in Nürtingen, to the south of Stuttgart. Used sparingly since, the odometer displays just 1,903 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. Issued with its most recent TÜV certificate in July of this year, the car is complemented by a suite of accessories, including a Berluti carbon fibre helmet and accompanying leather carry case, plongé leather driving gloves by Loro Piana, goggles, display models, plus Ferrari folio.

Rare, beautiful, sophisticatedly specified, and housing a howling V-12, this exquisite Monza SP1 will be welcomed at a vast array of concours events for the rest of its life and, therefore, is sure to appeal to all Ferrari aficionados.

Market Find: Ferrari Tailor Made Blu LXL Lucido Tetto Nero SF90 Spider

You don’t get to the point of viability for Ferrari ownership by half-assing it, especially if the goal is new vehicle allocation. So should your number be called, why opt for Rosso Corsa over Beige? The individual who made the selections for this build certainly had a vision, and we’d say they knocked it out of the park

A reported one of one finished in Ferrari Tailor Made Blu LXL Lucido Tetto Nero over Lava SC235 Leather sourced from Italian luxury furniture firm Poltrona Frau with Sail Aunde 3D Nero centers to accentuate the stripes Daytona style seats are legendary for, this may be one of the more intricate interiors we’ll feature. Moving past the obvious, the lengthy list of options does include other notable additions like Airbrushed Shields on the fenders and embroidered on the headrests, Carbon Fiber wheels, and Apple Carplay.

After all that time, dedication, and agonizing, its genuinely a shame that this Ferrari Tailor Made Blu LXL Lucido Tetto Nero SF90 Spider has covered only 160 miles since new. In other words, it’s pretty likely it’s got some original fuel in it, even if the driver didnt take advantage of the claimed 8 miles of electric range. We can only hope the next caretaker of this Tailored Driver exercises it regularly.
